I'm glad to say I was not involved in any of those shenanigans!

My nation was small and fairly weak, but it was allied to the big bad "villain" of the group, which relied on them for pretty much everything that can't be found in a desert. Your nation, if I remember correctly, was a... fascist monarchy? I think?

I do remember joking that your profile pics and signature made me imagine your whole nation as barely pubescent Korean girls. I was not intimidated.

They were a fascist monarchy, and one that seriously could not be assed to ever invade anything near them xD The only expansion that nation EVER did in any RP was through a personal union with another faction of my own making lol. Suppose it's a habit of mine to create nations that have little to no expansionistic desires and instead turtle up.

Also, Eisenkreis can not be confirmed or denied of being entirely composed of barely pubescent Korean girls. Your nation may or may not fall to superior pop music.

My writing was AWFUl at the time. So please don't judge me now for how fucking terribly I wrote everything back then.

But here, this is where we briefly RP'd together: roleplayerguild.com/topics/80804-the-s..

Ah, I remember that. Bit of a sore-spot over some shenanigans here and there, but I recall thinking about opening some trade relations or something another with your nation. Either way, I sent a PM outlining things very briefly.

Alf! I'm sure you don't remember me, but we've RPed together.

Are you interested in joining?
My gosh, three new people in one page.

Hmmm..... Vaguely, you may have to remind me since I left Guild a while back for some very good reasons. I've actually been watching this thread for a little bit, but was unsure about some of the concepts and whether or not my usual stuff would work since it tends to make a mockery of the standard and strides out on its own.

Hey there Heat, been a while. Any other restrictions on characters other than no force-sensitives?
Did someone say there was a need for a machine hivemind? o3o

Apologies for my absence of late, trying to catch up with things elsewhere and have even more ahead of me. There are cars in this setting, my own nation exports them to any and all countries regardless of political relations. Eisenkreis, the name of my nation, is a bit of a technocracy, and so while they don't actually produce much in terms of blue Coal, they consume significant amounts and it is their number one import next to grains and other food items. People who wish to have trade with my nation are free to establish it, though anything military will require the Queen's personal approval before-hand and I'll have to get you guys to PM me on that first o.~ Other than that, for information purposes, trade would be done through the provincial corporations run by the state itself. Arctonen for refined and finished consumer goods such as completed machinery and engines for other such items. Ytterban for the more absurd and fantastical items(You know you want that Blue-Coal powered toilet.) Finally, Kellenheim for textiles and parts.

Thank you for telling me what is wrong, I just wrote that up with my military because I had nothing to think of (In my opinion the military section should be the smallest section if if it has to be there at all) and that was the only thing I could think of.

Eh, like I said it wasn't really that big of a sticking point to me. I've distanced myself from the school of thought where the player with the best toys and biggest most awesome military is the top dog. It gets old, and I do like that you've stuck to your principle there. One thing that I like to do, and that I actually picked up from an old RP partner, is to avoid absolutes when describing anything about your nation. Things like "the most" and such, it leaves more room for other people to stand beside you, rather than below or above you. All in all, it's a solid app in my opinion with only a few little things that stand out to me personally.
Wow. Just.... Wow. Come the fuck on people, this is why the NRP section is a cesspit. Get off your bias, your grudges and whatever preconceived notions of "the best RP" it is you have, and try not to shit up yet another NRP. Mindlessly bickering over who has what grudge, or trying to foist some inane idea unto the GM and make yourself the victim only drags everyone else down.

@PolishKing I read over your app from top to bottom, and I'll say exactly what it is that bothers Duck, and it's something I noticed yet passed over. The military section reads a bit strong, with a pretty tight focus on showing how advanced the nation is militarily. Most of it I just apathied past, as it doesn't really pose a concern to me, and I know that sheer technological power doesn't equate to military victory in any sense. My only real concern is that you seem to have set yourself up as completely self-reliant when it comes to the fantasy-resource. I too have a technocracy type of nation, but leave them to be more reliant on the outside world for their resources. What's the fun in having wonderous technologies and such if you have absolutely no need to trade for the resources that power them and build relations with foreign countries? Furthermore, I think it sets a dangerous precedent for one person to say how they have "large reserves" of "x", as in the past I have seen multiple apps following such NS' which state mostly the same. Regardless of how amazing this resource is, it is finite(At least I think it is...) and so we can't all have large mines of it. In truth, I would prefer that no player nation have a large source of the resource, and instead leave it to NPC nations so as to see about fostering a greater narrative. Beyond that, I don't see this RP as a game to be won, and I sincerely hope that no one else is here under that assumption. If you are, get out and go one section lower or two sections higher. Arena or Table-top games will be more suitable to you, and probably more welcoming to the attitude of who has the bigger e-penis.
