<Snipped quote by duck55223>I chose B because I refuse to work with a GM who can't even speak with its players
properly.
You may wish to tone down on this attitude in the future.

To be honest, you came in here with an idea you knew wouldn't be accepted, and instead of backing down started arguing with the GM. You refused to work with Duck before you even came into the thread.
<Snipped quote by duck55223>I am rather interested in a detailed reason why.
It isn't like I would be having unfair advantages over the others. I'd be just... different.
Martians never invented the wheel thus they have walkers.
Also their exclusive form of space travel is via building massive projectiles shot from an even more massive cannon which is why they haven't received any help from homeworld in decades and have no way to return.
If you want a setting which doesn't rigidly adheres to the cliches of 19th century settings then my Martians are a perfect example which breaks the mold.

This is a Steampunk RP, not a SciFi Alternate History RP.
How's everyone coming along? Any questions about things to help clear up things with either the background or other nations?
*peers* Nevermind what I said then.
It took me a moment, but I noticed you added some landmass to the map. Please use the original map from the first post.
I can dig it, suitably Ottoman without being too kebab.
@AlfhedilGotcha. So because of the steampunky breaks in the year/tech line, I'm assuming most tanks, planes, and the like will be akin to those in WWI - wood and linen propeller aircraft, small Renault FT-types or rumbling, British Mark I-X types, etc.

There's a little bit of creative freedom there, in that so long as things are steam-powered and roughly with the setting, things should be good. I am, for instance, having my nation's military focus pretty exclusively on armored warfare and infantry combat, to the detriment of their navy and air-force. Functionality is what I will personally be looking at when it comes to people's military and technology.
So before we have the chance to open this can of worms in an OOC and send this train off the tracks... What sort of real-world technology-equivalent era are we looking at? Victorian/pre-WWI? Interwar? etc. Is there a hard limit to the sorts of technology we can handle?

Interest pending on how 'realistically-grounded' this is.

Mostly realistically grounded around 1860, though there will be breaks in it and I have suggested a sort of "Soft-approval" approach for technologies suggested by people in their apps. A large majority of things will be Victorian Steampunk, though as per the title, but with the theme of my own nation, I am adopting a different aesthetic to suit my nation.
Looks like we've got a good bit of interest going here. I'll be taking up the role of a NotGermany/Austria powering through technological advancements, but with fuck-all to do with colonization and imperialism.
Also. Fallout 4 is a thing. So yeah. I'll get something up tomorrowish

Beware the sudden whistling sound. It foretells your imminent death. Nothing better than walking around, just minding your own business, only to suddenly die for absolutely no reason. Except there was a reason, it was just random assholery courtesy of a raider.
