Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

If their CSes aren't up today, I'll start the IC tomorrow and they can submit theirs whenever they're ready.

Considering we have 8 finished characters, I don't quite see why we had to wait on them in the first place. The RP isn't going to advance very far in a day or three.

Not that I mind waiting, of course.
I edited my post for Ian I apologize for missing it however I clearly state that the brawler BLOCKING your shots with it's shield while still moving for Ian.

clearly state

"The free brawler charged directly at Ian keeping it's shield between itself, and Rio..."

Clearly state my rear end, this is more like an implication. I mean, I kinda fucked up in not noticing, but it wasn't really clear. Adding the four words 'to block the shots' would have been clearly stating and I wouldn't have gotten confused. Or any number of:

'Causing the bullets to ricochet off'
'Making the damage negligible'
'So she was unable to stop them'

Anyway, thanks for clearing it up. Just... be a tad more clear next time, or otherwise this stuff flies over my head.
post is basic. Brawler is engaged with Ogre, the free one is going for ian, and the other sniper is trying to desperately keep up with the rest of the group.

I had Rio fire at the free brawler so they *couldn't* go for Ian.

EDIT: You also seem to have completely ignored Ian's snapshot.
no one else wanted to be rich

xcuse me?
I'll edit if the GM edits.
Thing is, I don't see Zoo as terribly bad.

Agree to disagree?

Otherwise, I don't have much left to say.
Never chainburn vs heroes though, those are fun to fight.

Oh man, how did I miss this gem?

Yes, because sitting on Dark Law all game and going into Acid when you get any number of S/T on your field, as well as dropping Honesty Neos when you try to run over by battle is fun.
@Raddum Yeah but you can get a feel in the tournament as to who is running rogues and who is running unfun. If its mostly rogues like at a locals, no chainburn, but if its all meta. Chainburn.

Its really unfun when you +6 off that rat bro. Or all of Paleos...

Playing tournaments is your first problem.
Taking it one part at a time.

@Ammokkx

The change isn't going to be as big as people first expected it to be, that's for sure. Firewall Dragon is busted as fuck, and I feel like we'll get some classic Konami dick giving to the current meta cards once Link Format actually arrives; They had no reason to hit Zoo right now,

Then why did the OCG pre-emptively ban freaking Gofu? It sure as heck wasn't a problem card pre-link format, so they could've just waited until after Links hit to do so. The argument for Zoo not getting hit majorly is kind of silly too: Zoos are like, 90% of the current decks and will remain 90% of the decks because the core engine is in tact. They had all the reason to hit it even before links were a thing, so this argument makes no sense to me.

Also, they're kind of releasing an entire summon mechanic deck after links hit. If that doesn't scream backwards thinking, I don't know what does.

You know what needs to actually happen? We need That Grass Looks Greener to be limited.

...Actually, I agree with this. card's busted af.

Yosenjus are going to be extremely popular at the start, I feel. But they'll be getting the dick too. The one thing I expect to not see get hit is Metalfoes and Lightsworns. Mer Mails will get hit, just waitin' for it.

Yosenju weren't meta when they were released and won't ever be meta, sorry to say. Deck's too old and outdated at this point, which says something about how fast the game advances. Their effects just aren't good enough.

Mermail had its glory, and is in the same boat now. Don't get me wrong, they're really freakin' good, but they needed the paleo engine to function in the big boy leagues nowadays. Unless some more WATER support is released that gives them some impact, I doubt we'll be seeing more of them without the paleo engine.

For the moment, Rat going to 2 is actually pretty good. I'm current;y satisfied with the banlist. Except for Imperial Order, but we're getting a Trap version of Twin Twisters so I no longer will give a single fuck.

Rat going to 2 only made the decks that run the zoo engine switch into the Fusion Subsitute combo, which gave them an extra +2 while slightly hampering their consistency. Not quite the desired result.
Personally I think Links are gonna be awesome. The new archetypes look competent, (At least Star Grail's) and the game can change from the "break my YUGE board" style of play we have right now. Yeah, some decks you like might not benefit from this, my Ancient Gears are a good example, but regardless it's happening so we gotta look at the bright side instead of the negatives. Rogue decks are gonna become more popular and usable, so that's cool. I'll finally be running Dewdark OTK again, lol. Now that I don't have to worry about everyone constantly having a game-ending board turn one.

As much as I wish to agree with this, I don't. The game is still going to be 'Break my board or lose' turn 1 even after Links hit due to the first wave being really good and decently generic, ESPECIALLY in our TCG since Zoo's didn't get hit all that hard. Plus, the game only is that way at the top level of play. Plenty of people on online services and some more casual locals play rogue decks anyway, be it for cost or fun. The game isn't really going to change it's fundamentals, it's simply going to adapt to the new rules and stay mostly stagnant due to modern card design.

The link archetypes that we see, while competent, are also slow. Slow is bad in modern YGO. Floodgates are still a thing, and will be more crippling than ever once you hit their key Link monsters.

I held your opinion at first too, thinking Link was the shit. Then I thought about it and concluded that, actually, nothing is going to change.
