Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

@Fury Panda Would the windows have hammers near them to break them open in case of an emergency exit being needed? Even if the thing is 400ft in the air, if it fell and there were survivors there would need to be some way for those survivors to evacuate. I'm asking because I intend to have Lock purposefully smash one of them, if possible.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. If the only thing stopping us--as a collective--from altering the world post is the fact that I just posted, you should go ahead and edit said world post. I'm not just channeling Jeff, either. I can always happily write up another post (assuming I'm still first in line, of course.)

What's the point of editing something if we know where it's going to lead, though? Best thing we could do is get our pieces in now and have the thing react to it in the next post. Besides, I'm already content with the resolution; I wasn't looking to make Panda bend to my will, just give him a suggestion on how to (probably) better handle his stuff. Gming ain't easy, and he's been doing a pretty good job aside from the one misstep just now.
I can change it up

not much point with Gummy having posted, imo. dunno how raddy cakes feels about it though.

@Ammokkx So I know you're giving an example of what you'd have preferred, for there to more action for the group as a whole, even if it led to a similar conclusion, to be given more choice for this outcome, etc...

I guess when it comes down to it, I wanted someone to awaken sooner rather than later. I understand that having a small fight beforehand may have been more entertaining, but would have ultimately led to the same outcome because it's what I feel echoes the story I'm trying to tell at this moment.

There are more demons on this train that haven't shown yet, in retrospect I probably should have had them appear as well in my post. I had thought with the door open to the next room as well as losing another person and having a giant hole in the cieling, there would be plenty to write about over the next set of IC posts, but I can add another at anytime if you'd like a secondary threat.

I mean, I'm fine with it I guess, I was just raising some concerns I had with it. I can roll with the punches for now, just saying it might be best not to pull that stuff again going forward, as it'll lead to people feeling alienated. Or, at least, I'd assume it would.
@Fury Panda I actually know it was based on RNG, but what I was saying is that it was a bit too... 'absolute' for my liking. Nobody could have pushed Eden out of the way and gotten grabbed, or taunt the monster to go for them? Eden can't stab the thing in its eye with her knife to make it scream in pain and release her as a gut instinct?

I feel you could have also made the hopeless situation much less forced. End the post with the spider tearing open the roof, but not grab anyone. Have everyone get a chance to get an attack in, only for it not to be phased and slash everyone across the chest or something before grabbing the unlucky soul who was the closest. Have some other demons burst through the other door, leading to the party having to deal with two threats instead of one.
@Fury Panda I like the set-up to this whole encounter, it's cool, but there's something irking me if I may be honest.

The post you gave feels a little too stilted and rigid. There's a lot of 'This character did this, this happened without contest' without really giving us a chance to properly react.

The whole situation with Eden getting grabbed would be neat, but saying 'The spodder was 2 fast 4 u' feels a little... cheap? Like, there's about 3 people around Eden with one of those being literally right next to her. Couldn't Jeff have hit or grabbed the claw as it grabbed on to Eden, or stabbed into it with something? It seems more realistic than assuming he froze in place and just forgot, as everyone would be cautious and wary of the thing by this point.

Also, the placement is a tad odd. How did Sam manage to open the door with Itaki, Jeff and Eden blocking the way? Wouldn't it make more sense for Itaki to grab the improvised wedge from Sam and do it himself, considering he was the closest to the door?

And the way you wrote the situation, I feel there's too little for us to do. What are Dakota and Lock going to achieve, for example? They're both the furthest away from everyone and Dakota is wounded. They can't get to the spider or interact with Eden in any way and are relegated to just kind of stand there and gawk. I had thought Lock could taunt the creature and draw its attention to him, but without being able to change anything about Eden being caught... eeeeeh...

I dunno, it just worries me is all. Don't feel like me and some others can do much in this situation.
like how a chunk of debris would be strong enough to break a steel door a

Thinking about it wrong: We're prying it open, not breaking it
But honestly, Lorenzo playing favorites on Elora over Serah didn’t surprise me. I figured, much like my character has a dark past but uses the T System D, Elora also has a unique quality of some sort that Lorenzo wants to exploit. Maybe her mind reading or something more...

No, you're looking at this the wrong way. It's not Lorenzo playing favorites, it's the army outright ignoring details. If he was playing favorites, I bet you Serah would be executed already since he admitted to Elora having to have been executed were it not for his command, and both Serah and Elora are guilty of the same crime: Attacking allies.
@Raddum Sorry!

Anyway, it should be pretty clear that opening all of the doors on the train is our first objective. Once the Control Room is seized, we'll be able to drive the train to the ground safely. It's going to be a tough operation, though. We'd need to either kill the boss spider or lure it out of the control room. Worst case scenario, that thing would corner us inside the control room before we have a chance to reboot the BBS. @Ammokkx

Try to keep in mind our characters don't know what's out there, and neither do we. All we know is 'windows are an issue'.
@Ammokkx that's what I like about you, no metagaming from you.

oh wow, thanks. Appreciate it, honestly.

We should huddle up. The bear has spoken: an opportunity for our characters to climb onto the train will be presented once Doge finishes the sixth post. I want us to consider all scenarios before making our conclusions on our characters' plan of action, especially the scenario where no one awakens to his/her Persona.

Well, speaking for Lock, he'd agree with the "Loose metal from chair" idea. It's logical and would be the quickest way to get something to force the door open with, and he'd personally offer to put himself in the way of danger if nobody else would like to.
