His hair is well-matted and splits on the left side of his head, with a high hairline at the front whilst a low one on the sides. If the government is fucking with a minority, he'll find out. The bane of many companies and agencies he's only walking because his Will may or may not contain information to be released upon death. If there's a juicy controversy, something that will make people angry and click a link to his article, he'll find it. If there's a story that will get him money, chances are he'll have it, leading him to working with nearly every mainstream media source or even various fringe sources for more whacky subscribers.
Education: He went through a very normal education, elementary school, high-school, university for a major in journalism and minor and whatever arts he could get with a year in foreign exchange (Canada) and night-school for a Master's in Business Analysis followed. For the last five years he's been a journalist working at first for a mainstream media source, before two years later going independent. From there he's learned much, from evading security guards and police to how to tell when someone's lying.
Background: Francesco was born to a rather normal family in Alexandria Bay, New York. He got raised relatively well, albeit he rebelled against this not because he is naturally rebellious but rather because of the repetitiveness and mundanity of all that was presented to him. Later on in school, he was somewhat bullied, but had other friends to help him through it. In school, things were harder. He became a classic goth after some poor influence and a pretty goth girl that refused his attention set... terms.
However, he graduated, and still didn't get her love, whilst only being alienated from peers and family, not to mention getting into drugs and good marks only by the fact he's a good cheater on tests.
He applied to university for journalism, finally laying off the goth act. However, at this point he was quite socially inadequate. Francesco was repeatedly told to be himself to get friends and others to like him, yet being himself did nothing. Eventually, he decided to join a fraternity. The rite of entry was relatively simple, have dog shit sprayed on you, be beaten senseless and then recite the anthem perfectly backwards with a rodent in your pants. All in a day's work.
However, after the initiation things went... odd. The party that followed was quite good, the drinks were tasty and the girls hot but it got weird. People started pulling out masks and laughing as though somebody pulled out helium or something. They started roaming the streets screaming and swearing and eventually got down an alley. It had a homeless man, trying to sleep but tonight would not be his night. The young people started accosting him and then beating him, all while having those weird fucking laughs. Maybe that's what the balloons were for.
Eventually somebody pullet out a knife and cut the poor bastard open, and everyone just kept laughing and enjoying themselves, even Francesco had a little giggle, despite in his mind knowing how utterly fucked up this all was. Then somebody pulled out his guts, made weird noises as though having a light snack (Francesco was busy throwing up) and then when he turned back they were laidd out in an arch with two lines in it; it looked like a harp or some other cryptic shit the lad couldn't put his finger on. Eventually he got lost amongst the alleys, drunk, confused and with the dawning realization of what happened. The last thing he saw before passing out was some red faced bastard with a horned mask on giggling. When he woke up and returned to the campus, everyone was drunk or passed out, and nobody could seem to remember the things that happened the night prior. Francesco was all calm, realizing that it was all delusions and drunken dreams.
The student went on to a normal day at school, and had forgot all about the party until he went to take off his shoes back in the dorm, to see a bit of bloody skin and ichor covered bits of human stuck in them. He pulled out his phone, opened google maps and moments later ran to the Lutheran church a few blocks away.
While it was far from the major or final thing to cement the personality of Francesco, it did a decent part in making him how he is. He put on a new face, cheerful, exciting, the centre of attention! But he sure as hell knew he wasn't going to be himself anymore. He graduated with near perfect scores, packed his shit and left town to never return again, making his journalistic career.
Several years, jobs, and bits of experience later he is now going to some fuckhole nobody heard of. But hey, juicy shit was happening there with people dying and that's exactly what would get the clicks.
Personality: On the outside, Francesco is ultra-composed. However, internally he is a paranoid wrack of nerves always looking for a catch in an agreement or for someone to be creeping around behind him. There are a few occasional give-aways to this; his swivel quite a lot when he is at work or nervous, and he is always looking at various reflective surfaces like car windows so that it will not be obvious that he may be looking at someone or something.
Likes: Money, music and arts of nearly any variety if played well. Otherwise quite neuter in preferences although from occasion to occasion he will enjoy something else.
