Suzuki Agito

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Rank: B
He was ranked Masters in Hex [another card game]
Missed Placements before the Pro Circuit

Playstyle: Agito’s a careful player, though not necessarily favoring defensive over offensive. His style is often about building for the later game rather than play a high tempo early game. He’s slow and calculative and waits for the right moment to play his cards. He always thinks steps ahead and doesn’t think about his current steps, but the steps taken in the later games. Often being able to calculate out his opponents next moves beforehand. He is in essence a player about control and overwhelming the opponent with hidden power that he has kept secret. Cunning and sly he plays mind games with his opponent and doesn’t just make World’s End about the cards, but a guessing game of what is to come next.

Reputation: A little standoffish. While he’s not necessarily hated, those who know him, but don’t really know him see him as very guarded. He’s at least respectful. Hasn’t made many enemies mainly because he always gives his respects win or lose and doesn’t seem to care either way. He shakes your hand and says good game, good sportsmanship, and a habit of praising people’s decks if built well he’s for the most well liked despite no one really getting into his world. The only person who seems to think there’s anything between them is Shibata Rinko. She’s nowhere near his league and doesn’t see her as a threat, just a pest.

“Is there something you want from me?”

His hair looked like he could use a cut, layers of stringy, black hair swept across pale skin and purple irises. Lean and thin, he stared at the others like a wolf staring down prey. His expression was often intense and harsh. When he was dueling he often wore a sly smile and often had twinkling eyes when he was fighting.

Other times he seemed tired and annoyed with everyone. His voice was often airy or breathy in a low undertone. He didn’t speak very loud, but it always had a twinge of annoyance. And he tends to have an sort of fashion. He seems to wear a fur lined cape over his changshan. And often carries a furry winter hat.

He more recently seen maneuvering in a manual wheelchair these days, but he stands at 5’6”, 167cm. And currently weighs 116 pounds, 52 kg.

Personality:

There are few who know Agito as he’s a rather reserved individual who rarely engages with other people unless he feels comfortable with them or likes the things they have to say. He rarely ever shows any personal warmth even to those he calls friends, always coming off rather icy and dry. Though in some ways his friends know he has their backs or he will have their back if they ever need him for something. It’s not that he wholeheartedly treats people lesser than him, though some would disagree especially those who don’t know him near as long.

His rivals believe him to come off superior than others. Or at least believing that he believes he is superior than others. Not understanding that the man actually concerned with his own performance. A hiatus from the only hobby he ever joined due to some health complication has lead him to believe in some way he is behind others. So he is always seeking some sort of way of remedy of fixing the issue.

Speaking of his hobby Agito is a ruthless duelist. Those who have had fought him say he gets a look like a wolf and calls his cunning, crafty smile as “The Hunt”. As he watches and observes with meticulous precision in order to hit you where it hurts and make sure you bleed from it.

Even without it Agito is a cunning person. He likes puzzles or riddles, he is often a sly thinker, but lacks a sense of humor. Though does have a sense of dry wit, that is hardly expressed as an actual joke so most take it rather seriously if he says anything.

Some that call themselves Agito’s friends criticize him for being too serious. They tell him to loosen up a little, smile a bit more. And open a bit more. Though Agito rarely listens to that advice, as his reserved nature is sometimes used as a defense mechanism among people.

He easily gets burnt out socially and dislikes topics without any sort of meaning to them. He’s known for scowling and having an intense presence. The only person that he seems to have opened up to is perhaps Amara, but mainly because Amara treats him differently than others do and is the only person he has learned to know outside of tournaments.

He can be cranky on a bad day. But for the most part he’s rather balanced for his age.

You're fine. I am a little busy is all.
Hey, I'm game to start up again when the time comes.

Awesome. Wednesday of next week. :)

He didn’t say anything about a party. He didn’t want his apartment trashed. He was simply giving them a refuge for the moment until they could get their keys from the landlord. A snow leopard waltz in and starts another conversation he certainly wasn’t in the mood to have in the beginning. He looks at Devon with a long gaze.

“Not a party, a social hangout where people sit on a couch doing normal stuff like drinking coffee and talking about the world’s annihilation. And nihilistic philosophy about how all of this is meaningless in the grand scheme of the destiny for the universe we happen to so be living in currently,” Felix told her, it was meant to be a joke between the two of them. But the others were probably staring at him like he had lost his mind. Or that he was some counterculture depressive. He was none of those things. But this is why he didn’t like so many people around.

Because they took the things he said out of context. Would make preconceived judgments about his character based on something that belonged among friends. But he wasn’t going to stop talking to Devon in a certain way because of all these strangers either. Why should he filter himself for them? When they should be mature enough to know that wasn’t for them?

“Are we ready to get away from all of this?” Felix asked the Finch and Devon, looking at quite the crowd accumulating like dead skin cells.

Even if that was the case that should still have been the emphasis in the IC post. Locating all your members PCs before yours.

Profound? Not really anyone who had taken the time to observe would have known that fact. Anyone who had taken the time to observe this truth knew it wasn’t profound it was simply stating the obvious. There was nothing intelligent about the obvious. It was whether or you were blind to it that was the profound part of it.

He wondered in that moment what type of things Travis thought when walking that concrete jungle. He wondered if it was all the same things he considered. People who were alive protested because they were alive and don’t realize that everyone can die at any moment in time. When they do realize they are going to die, when they are dying, that when they beg for mercy.

When faced with their own mortality they call for security and cast outside another person’s life in order to save themselves from a very true fact that they hide consistently from themselves. Still Kristian nodded and just continued to smile at Travis.

When he asked about his parents Kristian genuinely looked away. It was more than a touchy subject. It was more than that. Still Kristian twirled the leaf in between his fingers. What should say? They died in an accident. They sent him away. He was disowned by them.

Except there was a part of an honor code in his heart that told him that kind of lie was wrong. So Kristian finally picked his head and looked at Travis.

“It’s more complicated than I want to get into,” Kristian told him, “But I am glad you want to be my friend.” he immediately smoothed things over with an excited glint in his eyes, “That really makes me happy. Would you like to go to the tea lounge?”
@Regitnui

Wait we're all supposed to be on the train? Because that was not stressed in the opening post. Whenever I write a starting post as a GM I don't write about my character first. I write about the atmosphere, the setting, the location of others characters, then I write about my character. How was I suppose to infer that?
@LordLinguinie

Radiation poisoning doesn't work that way in the real world. It's a slow debilitating disease as you're slowly poisoned. Some don't even experience symptoms until its too late. It just works like that in video games to get your ass moving, but.....what the fuck was that
I'm here, but tbh. I have no relevance and no direction in the starting IC post. I mean there's only so much I can write about living on a farm. And I already did that in the history. I was hoping the IC do something to connect everybody in the beginning and I am not going to write a half ass bullshit post.
@LeamonZest89

He slowly brought the leaf down and listened to Travis without really looking at him or saying anything at first. It was a typical response that anyone would give about their views of God. The inflection in Travis’ voice made him sound apprehensive about the subject.

Then again he did open the floodgates for a heavy topic. Yet he saw no need to go through all the cordial hoops and loops of conversations. How’s the weather, what are you into, it was all just bullshit to make you seem like you cared about another person. But nine times out of ten people cared about themselves. What they were going to say next, what they were going to respond with next, etc.

He watched people. Wait for their chance to speak again. The desire to speak again. The desire to sound clever, likeable. But they refused to talk about the things they really should talk about. Instead they argued about who was right and wrong. Fixing the blame, not providing solutions and fixing the actual problem.

“God is Human,” Kristian told Travis, “Designed by Humans. With Human flaws and mistakes. It’s why he designs chaos and why he designs beauty. But that’s my take on it.” Kristian smiled looking at Travis with a gentle expression.

“So, Travis, what do you like to do after the park?” Kristian swings his legs back and forth a little, “I don’t have very many friends here in Japan. I just came here more recently. Few months ago. And I like the idea that we can become friends.”

He looks away nervously.
