"Nice to meet you sir, I know quite a few of the wards are gifted with animals so you will be spoiled for choice this year." He smiled at Charles as the eagle landed, the bird was impressive. Onyx looked the bird curiously, the not terribly bright dog began to wonder if it tasted good, like the turkeys it sometimes chased. Onyx began to jump up barking excitedly at the large bird, Baird grabbed her collar trying to get her to stop but it was useless the dog continued to bark and jump at eagle.

I know with the holidays here in the states most people are busy. So I guess this is on a slight hiatus, still I hope to see this grow as it's getting rather interesting now, I may post a reply to Crimson but only to bump this some and keep the roleplay alive.

Baird groans slowly taking the hand of the stranger "Thanks mister, though I really love horses, I'm hoping to get picked to be a ranger or a horse master. Onyx here is just my pet, she's not very bright and none of the villagers want a dog that is just a extra mouth so I take care of her and she keeps me company." He smiled as the man petted the dog, Onyx gave a soft ruff enjoying the attention immediately forgetting the squirrel debacle.

Baird looked up the squirrel, giving it a slight smile. As he did Onyx noticed a new playmate, deciding she wanted to play with the squirrel she jumped up knocking over the poor Baird. The squirrel raced back up the tree as the Onyx barked, trying to get it to come down and play. The poor boy lay there trampled by the dog, half unconscious.

Baird smiled as his puppy, Onyx, ran up to him, she was a one of kind dog a solid black coon hound who for some strange reason refuse to hunt no farmer or hunter wanted a dog with no use for work so Baird had kept her. The dog ran up and jumped up placing her front paws on the skinny boy as he patted her on the head. "Hey Onyx, you excited for today? Today we found out my future here in Redmonte huh girl?" He scratched her behind the ears as he looked around, he knew his best chances lay with the horse master, possibly as a Ranger to though they were all very secretive he thought he would fit in well there. Onyx gave a soft bark and he lay down in the grass, the castle staff chuckled at the ward, he had always pulled stunts like that so it came as little surprise to them.

Baird sat in a tree, just off the edge of the wall of the castle, he hummed dangling his legs off the tree. He was excited, he hoped to be chosen by the horse master, choosing day would change his life forever. Deciding that he should get moving he climbed up the tree quickly only snapping a couple limbs on the way up, he leaped off it and grabbed a couple loose stone along castle Redmonte's wall. He jumped and grabbed the ledge and flipped over the side of the wall surprising the soldier severely Baird ran along before jumping down into a tree in the castle courtyard, quickly climbing down that and stopping in the courtyard of the castle he realized he had caused a bit of a scene. "Uuuummm sorry everyone, I just thought it would be faster to go over the wall then around it." He blushed a little embarrassed at the situation.

Link nodded to the fairy as he left town, quietly he began to make his way up to castle walls he smiled as he spotted the small hole where the water follow into moat grinning he looked at the fairy "might want to hold on tight... and hold your breath." Link took a deep breath and dove in to the freezing water swimming quickly through the gap he gasp as he came up out of the water. Crawling out of the water he crouched behind a hedge, he was in the castle garden, grinning now came the hard part.

Dark link stared out the window, bored the master and the strange mage did not interest him, instead he searched using his shadow powers. Two beings that seemed like him, of darkness or akin to it at least were in the town, that was interesting he could sense the overwhelming light in the town the hero and his princess were no doubt there. This would be fun, a sickening happy smile formed on his face.
