Recently, I've found a guilty pleasure in the dark romance genre, stories where the main characters find love in hopeless or unexpected places. The angst, the longing, the thrilling will-they-won't-they leading to a happy-ever-after gets my pulse racing without fail. As such, I would love to explore and expand on this through roleplay.
Though normally, my genres of choice are thriller, horror, and fantasy, at night, when my mind wanders, romance has always been something I enjoy turning to when I need a distraction or a secret thrill. I'm hoping we can blend the two genres (thriller x romance) and write a story that has us both engaged and eager to play it out to its natural conclusion.
That said, this is a collaborative effort. So, although you will find some examples of tropes and dynamics I am keen about below, they are only meant to give you the gist of what I'm interested in-- the general vibe. So please, don't hesitate to share your own spin, your dark ideas, and longings.

What I Need:
- Players/Writers that are 21+
- 70/30 or 60/40 Plot to Smut ratio
- 3rd Person
- Intermediate or Advanced Grammar/Spelling (no shorthand, messy punctuation, etc., please).
- 1+ paragraph posts (details matter!)
- Masculine, dark, complex characters
What I Offer (RP Style):
Length: 1-4 paragraphs
POV: 3RD Person
Frequency: 1 - 3 posts a day (unless otherwise notified)
Length: 1 - 5 Paragraph per post
Character Gender(s): My mains are usually women, but I can occasionally add side characters that are men if required.
Themes & Tropes:
- Anything in which the FMC is caught in the web of a criminal organization
- Unlikely heroes
- Arranged marriage between criminal empires
- Wrong-place-wrong-time (enemies to lovers)
- A nanny/maid hired by someone mysterious
- Suspense
- Jealousy / Possessiveness
- Forgiveness / Distrust
- Fear / Empowerment
- Instant attraction
- Slow-burns
- Some age gaps
- Side characters that could develop into their own stories down the line
Possible Stories:
1) Finding herself in the cross-hairs of a determined stalker, the FMC tries to lay low in a small town
2) The FMC is coerced into selling drugs or helping to perform a heist to save her sister, but ends up catching the attention of someone much scarier than the person threatening her sister's life
3) A young woman finds a job being a Nanny for an imposing figure who needs someone to care for a child in his care, and inadvertently discovers too late that he's far more dangerous than she ever knew
Again, I'm open to other ideas that play on any of the themes or tropes I've listed above, so please feel free to reach out! I look forward to reading everyone's posts and prompts, and hopefully meeting a few friends along the way to write with.
