So anyone wanna pal around with Light? I'm at a loss as to what to post.

Also learned a very interesting thing thats giving me a bit of hope for Japan. They're finally starting to get rid of their crappier laws that they kept around because 'tradition'. Still 20 years behind the rest of the world, but they're having their 80s/90s now, thats good. They'll maybe be caught up in 15 more years.

Now if their businesses would stop being such sticklers about non anime stuff. Apparently it took them TWO YEARS to get adventure time over there. WTF.

I wouldn't put games on a pedestal. A normal human can handle Beerus in a straight up fight.

Well sure, just wish on the dragonballs to be half sayan and there you go xD. Thats what the cannon was in DBO from what I can remember, every human was like 1/128th sayan or something.

Yeah Dragonball is all over the place, but toryaiama says as much anyway so eh.

Problem with a Majin is the same as the problem with a member of Frieza's race. There's no way they'd be weak enough to fit the scope of this RP. At least not starting out, if the idea is that we start weak - like Frieza Army weak (So, PL's of less than 10K)

Well Freeza's race can be that weak as apparently Freeza was just a prodigy AND a mutant or something like that.

As for Majin. Could say the same thing about Buu, or the Majin just isn't well trained or something. I mean the CaCs in Xenoverse have trouble with Raditz at the start :P. And thats RADITZ xD

You can fit Majin if you just fudge a bit of the lore a bit since technically NO ONE knows where Majin Buu came from with the current lore. And since Majin means Demon, I think Buu was just some Majin who went feral after being 'purified' with an experiment from the Demon Realm and was sent to the normal universe to avoid destruction there. Majin normally are the chefs/servants/ext of the demon realm since they don't have much of a lust for power unlike Dabora/Towa's race due to their Fat Buu playful/Food loving personalities.

Makes sense as to why there are so many Majin in Xenoverse and why Female Majin exist. (I know about the DBO thing, but XV2 is the closest thing to the west they have and Buu makes NO FEMALE Majin in that one.) Plus adds some much needed lore to both Majin AND the Demon Realm.

The IC hasn't gone for long enough to warrant a complete restart, in my humble opinion. I would suggest reposting the interest check, but perhaps post it in both the Casual AND General Interest check sections. The extra potential traffic/exposure couldn't hurt.

I've been wanting to play a DBZ character who's of Bojack's race (a Hera) who has different 'transformations' if you want to call them that. These transformations give him varying degrees of different specialties but not like a super saiyan. For example one form he forces all of his allotted power into Ki drastically increasing his ki abilities. But makes his physical strength and speed suffer as a result. In exchange his ki blasts are monstrous. Another version that's the opposite where he goes full on power horse but lacks the ability to channel ki into bigger blasts. I can turn him down to a lower power level for a roleplay like this and start him at base form.

So basically he has a stat allocation of 30 and just shifts those points around. So its an actual transformation and not a powerup.

I know I've gotta get a Majin balanced for all this but I think the best way would be to make them get tired fast if they gotta keep regenerating. Something that makes it like the games.

Why Namek? Why not set it sometime between the destruction of Vegeta (if you wanna avoid Saiyans, which I get) and the start of the saiyan saga? That's a good almost 20 years with no saiyans to speak off where Frieza's empire was at it's height.

Exploring subjects like his rivalry with Cold and Cooler, too. Fight Cooler's cronies for territory, etc.

Sounds good to me. Can also have some sayans too. Though I think we should downplay or remove Goku, or maybe Goku gets owned by Dr. Gero and Cell and we go to earth because we hear about this big bad thing stronger and more dangerous than freeza down the line, and then right after cell we find Buu?

Though personally I wanna play a Majin. Xenoverse has made me ADORE Female Majins. So cute, great abilities, and amazing combo strings. Plus stretchy arms! Did I mention they were cute?

I was just watching the first episode of Dragon Ball last night and wanted to be a part of something like it but is it possible to play a really small role in this for someone who is a newbie to the DBZ universe?

Dragon ball Kai is a good place to start. Then DBZ abridged for supplemental knowledge and laughs. Then Dragon Ball Super to catch up with everyone else, although you can skip the first 20ish episodes of super if you watch the movies Battle of Gods and Resurrection F.
