@Archmage MC Be nice to have sources to back all of these claims. Last time I checked, Nintendo is still cranking out some pretty good games. Breath of the wild and Bayonetta 2 (since Nintendo both bought the studio AND told said studio not to tone down her adult nature just because it's a Nintendo title) to name a few recent additions.
Well I know RARE had lots of issues with Myamoto before Microsoft bought them. What with Conker getting criticized forcing them to change it, Dinosaur planet being criticized forcing them to change it, Myamoto bashing DK country since RARE redesigned his character and made them way better and did that psuedo 3d sprite thing to blow everyone out of the water, and stuff like that form other sources in the industry. (And then the cancellation of Star Fox 2 on the SNES since it was a better Starfox 64 or Argaont having their engine for Super Mario 64 stolen from them...)
Most of the problems were with people using his IPs and doing them better. Bayonetta isn't his so they got along alright. But you've seen how bad the Metroid games have gotten, how bad the Paper Mario games have gotten, how bad the Mario Party games have gotten, all from executive meddling from what I can tell since he isn't the one making those games. It makes sense when you think about it. Especially when you have a very real western example, IE George Lucas, who did the same thing.
Though time will tell if he'll have the new CEO's ear or not (I don't think he had Iwatas all that much though either), since its do or die with the Switch, so they can't afford Myamoto to have a tantrum if someone makes his IPs better than him, especially if they wanna sell them out for licensing deals to make tons of money off movies and theme parks. Speaking of which, Universal is making a Nintendo themepark inside theirs, which is pretty neat.
