That's the horrible thing about a time war. It's a perpetual do-over. The Time-Lords go back in time and plant a new civilization to aid them in the war. They kick buttocks as a result so the Daleks go back and kill that civilization before they can provide help which brings back all the Daleks that had been killed by the new race.

Then you bring into play Paradox machines and it just gets worse.

Do that over and over, particularly with fixed points, and you rip apart reality allowing the Cthulian horrors of Outwr-Time to breach into this universe.

*lol *

They wouldn't let me use a Type 40! The Prince, the sanctimonious, pretentious Time Lord I had in mind wouldn't have even used his.

Though... Technically, according to the "science" there's no difference between a Type 40 and the Type 90. The Type 40 can materialize via the Tree of Life everything it needs to become a type 90. If it needs more power a TARDIS can just materialize around another star and add it's mass to it's own Eye of Harmony.

Nobody, not the fans, nor the writers, seem to realize how broken TARDIS are.

Power level is even an issue inside any particular series or show. In Star Trek, the most powerful technology and ships are in the original series. Every additional series they lower the technology level regardless of timeline. In Star Wars Blaster Tech and other small arms were more powerful in the prequels.

Macross/Robotech is pure ridiculous compared to most. A single Valkyrie can outfight tie fighters or colonial vipers ten or even twenty to one.
Yet, we still made it work in the past by choosing a lesser carrier from the franchise with fewer fighters and no "macross gun".

The one I would argue would just not be acceptable would be a Glorious Heritage class vessel from Andromeda. Those things use more realistic technology, involving relativistic weapons and bombs that can annihilate entire solar systems. (Yes... 40 of these suckers!)

Key concept though is we'll try and make it work.

@sepI hadn't realized I'd stolen my Star Trek fan fic name for that Uraga Class Carrier. Now that I think about it. I was trying for a better name but flubbed. The name rather fit the captain but not the ship's purpose as a special forces, preemptive strike platform.

As much as I want to portray a narcissistic sociopathic dictator I think the Nebula is better.

The Relentless Endeavour, from a fan-fic I was writing and lost when my PC died, is perfect for this stuff.

The Endeavour was travelling towards the Dominion War's frontline with a cargo pod of supplies when it was assailed by several Dominion craft. Desperate, the Captain plotted a slingshot around a black hole which propelled them beyond time and space. He saved the ship but not before a suicidal Dominion ship struck the bridge with it's lower pylon.

Beaten, bowed and broken, leaking drive plasma, the Endeavour lands in the Star Wars universe with most of the command crew dead and most systems down. They have no way home. Sensors were down during the transition and there's no way to recreate the phenomenon, nor know what course to set if they did.

I'm highly interested in a Goa'uld. However, I'm struggling to find a way for one to work nicely with the others.

Alternatively, I could offer up a Nebula Class Frigate from Star Trek.

What happens if we pass out and get dragged off? Is the roleplay only a single night or are there going to be situations where you fast forward to the end of the next adventure for another "victory party"?
Starting with Atlantis might be faster.

In Stargate it takes six years to launch the first human spaceship. It then took two more years to figure out how to get it to work.
Sorry. Took me a day to figure out if I was going to apply. My life is getting busier as of late.

I'm considering a shackled Goa'uld, one that has a device similar to the Tolan's collar used on Klorel/Skaara. Probably wtih a remote control for a team leader.

I just have to make sure that the character concept doesn't overshadow her team mates.
