Personality: Ryuji is one of the gentlest people of the school. He's dedicate, straightforward, honest and well meaning. He is also stubborn as a mule and a staunch pacifist, which does clash directly with the School's aim. Truthfully, he dislikes the school, but keeps from disclosing the reason why is he even here. However, there are still ways to set him off. He abhors violence as a tool to oppress the weak, and he frowns upon bullies. He also dislikes people who think violence is fun. He prefers talking people down, but when left without options, Ryuji's fighting ethic is implacable and vicious, aiming to disable opponents as quickly as possible.
Backstory: Isobe was born in a rather poor and somewhat dysfunctional family. Money didn't flow much into the household and his mother and father were alternating yelling with making amends to eachother. Still, he was happy of his small but humble dwelling, and he even had friends to play with. The most notable was the girl next door. Both of them had several adventures through the neighbourhood together, and in all, they spent being kids in those summer days. Yet one day, Isobe had to depart. His parents apparently had lost the house and were evicted, and thus they had to move and start anew. Ryuji's mood darkened, and he started picking up fights constantly to quell his anger. It got so bad, that his face eventually became marred with a knife scar when he picked on the wrong crowd. However, when things were at his darkest, Ryuji found a helping hand in the figure of his would be Sensei, his own grandfather, who had been a martial artist all his life and taught Ryuji how to endure and stay away from violence. Ryuji found he had a knack for martials as well, and he trained vigorously. He even run errands to earn money to travel to Tibet in order to practice with the monks there. One day, a letter penned by his childhood friend arrived at his new home. Ryuji visiblely wept, and reading the letter, he found out she was in trouble and nobody else would answer, so she tried asking Ryuji. He thus set forth to the last known place where she was, Shiroyama High School.
It didn't turn out as expected. Apparently, while his friend desired his help, she had actually warped the reality of the situation and she wanted some extra muscle. Ryuji was disgusted at this, but he decided to stick in the High School for a while. Perhaps these people would see sense in their violent folly one day.
Inherent Engine Skill: Ki Control. Years of martial arts disciplined have honed Ryuji's body (and Mana core) to the point of being able to do supernatural feats. His body's resilience is the stuff of legends, as well as he may as be well called supernatural when performing physical feats. He is so adept at this, he can expel the Ki (mana) in the form of blasts through his hands when performing certain fighting techniques. He can even force his body and mana core to go into overdrive, but this comes with the inherent self-inflicted damage this implies. (He likes to call this technique Asura mode. He's still a bit of a dork).
Active Engine Device: Beads of Soothing- These wondrous beads, given to him by Tibetan Monks, are useless in battle most of the time, but their power should not be scoffed at. By concentrating and praying with these devices, one may shield allies from harm, purify areas or people from negative effects, and if taken to the extreme, heal grievous wounds and mystically repair buildings or devices. Worth noting that these require the user to be still and concentrated, and thus open to attacks.
Skills:Ryuji's concentration is hard to shake. He is also a martial artist of great skill, like the ones of tales. Ryuji excels in repetitive tasks, and couple with his strong and fit body, he is pretty good at manual work and errands. He also knows how to do minor sewing and cooking, and stand on his own. Given his martial background and size, he can give heavenly massages or even set bones. On the other side, years of conditioning have stripped him of the ability to dance, and he's tonedeaf. He also lacks some people's skills.

Club: No one, unless there's a pacifist club or something.
Personality: Mika is at first glance a shy, unassuming and fragile bookworm mouse who has a natural air of grace and fragility around her. She is usually bashful and prefers to keep a distance. However, deep down she is fairly determined, bitter and cold. She also has a pretty strong libido, and likes to predate on both boys and girls. Mika holds a grudge at people who belittle her because of her somewhat homely looks or apparent lack of physical strength, and she would enjoy proving all those who think that martial strength is all that matters that they're wrong. Mika also has none of the fears a lot of people have towards bugs and spiders. She would also want to have babies with Ryuji
Backstory: Mika was born in a rather humble militaristic household. Her father lamented that instead of a healthy young boy rascal with spunk to share war stories, he got a fragile flower of a daughter with a weak constitution and that had to be take to the hospital frequently. He vented his frustration on his daughter and household, appearing as an overbearing controlling father who dictated what and when Mika did in her everyday life. The young girl only found solace in two things. An adventuring kid next door, called Ryuji, full of vitality which was always eager to play with her, and even give her piggy rides when she collapsed; and books. Books were one of her best refuges to her life. But of course, her father had other ideas. He wrongfully thought that that many reading was weakening his daughter even further and routinely sabotaged her attempts. With Isobe gone, and her own mother a subsirvient shell, Mika soon fell into despair, and began to turn into someone cynical. She begun to despise the world, all while keeping a masquerade of goodie two shoes girl. When the battle school programme was suggested at her household, Mika just accepted because she wanted to prove her father wrong. She despite being weak, would trumph what he considered strength with her own bookish smarts.
It wasn't as initially planned, though. The challenge bar was high, so Mika eventually relented to asking help from her best friend. She tried her best to honey the situation, but in the meantime Ryuji had become a goody two shoes and rejected her offer. Now she is likely to try a different approach...
Inherent Engine Skill: None! Although given the nature of her Device, most people think she has a field of mana draining around her.
Active Engine Device:Arachne - Arachne is just a bunch of metal strings. However, they're highly mana-conductive, very thin, and deceptively strong and resistant. If these strings wrap around a person or AED, they will interfere and cancel any mana based skill or operation, so long as said person remainds "grounded" by the strings (Ie, with a couple of coils wrapped around it). Mika can also use the strings in multiple ways, as improvised traps, to swing midair, as a makeshift whip, and to dispell mana-based projectiles. She can even use them as a spider would use a web to listen to her surroundings.
Skills: Mika is an intellectual sort of person. Academic subjects are easy deal for her, and she's always craving more knowledge and gather information. She's good at sciences, including math. Mika is also highly skilled in analyzing situations and finding the best course of action, as well as being fluent in English. As a side effect of her weapon use, she's an amazingly skilled puppeteer and nimble but otherwise pretty weak physically with one of the worst staminas of the entire school due to her heart condition.

The return to Candaeln was made in silence. Clerical matters aside, Nero couldn't shake the ominous events that had trascended in her head, as well as her failure to grasp the why and how. The revelation of the ghastly secret that the mages of Thaln kept such a dangerous artifact was bad enough, but the desecration of the shrine with a skeleton was but the last macabre touch. She didn't really considered the departure of the elf as related, but still losing a veteran could mean trouble in the long run. The eldest of the Sunfield twins exchanged looks with that of her sister, whom, at times, sported a sombre expression not unlike the one she was having. Even if she was making jokes and eyeing the captain in an impish way, she could feel it.
She was concerned too. Who wouldn't? And besides, both of them thought alike. As both crossed the doors, Sult frowned upon seeing Tiral wanting to go to his room. Mage-boy always wanted to play it cool and not care about how their peers were after the travel, weren't they? Mages...
But the assorted meeting of other knights caught her the attention. Some veterans, some new faces. And Nero herself couldn't smirk that the roses had a half giant aswell. She did look a little more... sharp than her own protegeé in the ravens. Well not that was difficult. Mariah was a nice girl, but she wasn't exactly the sharpest knife. However, it was another figure that caught her attention. Her eyes widened in shock.
"No way, what is he doing here of all things?" Nero whispered to herself, trying to find corroboration in her younger twin, than in fact that wasn't a play on her eyes.
Livius Sunfield.
It seemed to be true, as Sult had begun to walk in a hurried pace towards the elder sibling, Nero following short after.
"Brother~!" The youngest twin said, words lingering in her mouth in a sweet, affectionate way as she deftly latched on his chest, performing a sisterly hug. "What brings you here? I have not seen you in years!" She added, her voice loud.
Nero wasn't fooled. Sult was up to something. And she was pretty much sure that she knew what she was going to do. She just smiled, aside, as Sult Sunfield let out a giggle, still clinging to her brother.
"...and you left us to fend on our own for a decade." She added, her sweet singsong voice becoming icy all of a sudden, as the hug tightened. That wasn't a hug. It was a throw. Using all her might and sisterly scorn, she hoisted the taller but definitely scrawny youth in the air as she bent backward, essentially throwing him headfirst in the ground as she bent backwards.
Well that's my cue. Nero grimaced, as she stepped in, and tried to help her brother. "Sult, that is enough. Behave." She added. But well done. He's a dummy.
Name: Chai Sex: -insert trite joke here- Male Age:14 Race: Human (sort of)
Physical Appearance:
Personality: Chai is annoying, and he enjoys every single moment of it. Never tired of acting like a brat, he usually lives his life by travelling the land, pulling pranks, doing dine and dash, and ocassionally trying to woo the hot woman only to be dismissed (he is still a scrawny little brat). Still for all his vices, Chai is not an evil person, just a happy-go-luck rogue, and he has no hesitation in playing hardball against party poopers. Admittedly he doesn't like to fight directly, and prefers to win by subterfuge. He is also extremely weak versus women charms (funnily enough). He also doesn't like frogs (due to an incident with a rival girl shapeshifter) and will be reduced to a catatonic screaming pile in the presence of one. The sole mention of his master will also have the same effect.
History: Chai was born lucky. He was also abandoned as he was born... near the Southern Transformation Kindergarten. He learned shapeshift from an early age, among many peers, but he never felt truly at home there. His lack of actual parents turned him into a bit of a rotten brat, but Chai kept his urges steady. Shapeshifting was waaay too useful and getting kicked was not an option. Still, after his graduation, he then started his then reign of terror wandering around the earth. But then he noticed something. No matter what he did, he never got the riches or the girl. That was what heroes or martial artists usually got. And swinging a sword wasn't to his liking, so he chose to try martial arts.
Of course, he never lasted too long in one school, as people would grow irritated at his mischievous attitude, and he would be kicked out of martial schools just before learning the appropiate techniques. Eventually he resorted to the drastic measure of go train in the mountains. He nearly died, but was found by a heavenly sent angel. A woman of incredible beauty rescued him from a deep gorge he had fallen into, and amused at his antics, offered to train him. Chai accepted, thinking he was fooling a hermit into giving her martial arts knowledge to an scoundrel, but soon was proven wrong. The woman, named Latte, was rotten. In truth, she was much older than her appearance suggested, but she had done something like drinking an eternal youth potion or asking some Shen Rum to make her immortal. It didn't matter. She was also incredible sadistic and always wanted Chai to wear a cute butler outfit. Or a maid outfit when she was really in the mood. Chai did receive his training though, by constantly being threatened to be beaten into death. He just picked techniques along the way. Such was the way of the Mountain Dragon School, as she called it.
There wasn't really a martial school, but one could get the idea. Still, Chai managed to survive and learn techniques along the way, although one day he broke one of his master's prized flower vases. Livid, he fled from that place and tried his luck in the World Martial Arts tournament, so he could buy something to appease his master.
Common Techniques
Shapeshifting: Duh. He can turn into whatever he wants, with no time limit, although a shapeshifted's form strength depends on the shapeshifter, so well, no tanking stone-demolishing punches to the face effortlessly.
Hellish Body Training: Still, he's helluva strong and fast, what with having being on the receiving end of the thinly veiled attempts to kill him that his master called "training". Which brings to his next technique.
Afterimage Technique: He can perfom this technique aswell, a result of trying to constantly dodge his master's killer moves, moving so fast he leaves an after image. Still he can only produce one, as he's still improving.
(Latte)Kamehameha: While his master didn't teach him this move (in fact she even refused to tell where she had learnt it), he learnt on his own in secret. A truly trumph card only used in the most dire situations, his version doesn't have as much bite as his teacher, and firing it once will leave him so winded he would not be able to fight any longer.
Other: Oolong meets Krillin. Also an hilariously abusive master.
If I had a problem with someone here, I'd state it.
I simply have less time than expected. I'm not going to lessen the quality of any of my writing or possibly delay the roleplay at some point in order to push myself into more roleplays than I can handle in my usual timeframe, regardless of how much I like them, simple as that.
Sorry for making the assumption. Its just that you never know with DB. Hope it turns out okay!
