Name: Quintis Ravilla

Race/Nationality: Arvenses
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Languages: Arventian, but he has also learned a small amount of South Jugkraian in an effort to learn more about the Skeroparalioi. He doesn't fluently speak South Jugkraian and is only familiar with reading it; at most, he can say a few practiced sentences, though anything more is out of question.

Appearance:

A clean-shaven man with short, messy dark brown hair. He wears a standard Arvenses tunic, adorned with red geometric patterns. He is constantly trying to fight back a slouch, his back slightly curled forward due to his poor reading habits and eyesight.

He is quite skinny, stands at an average height for Arverses men,and his fingers have minor writer's calluses.

Personal Effects: Standard traveling gear and pack of scrolls and papers. He always keeps a writing tool and some ink to detail his findings on his journey.

Backstory:

A well educated man from a line of scholars. He was born and raised around books, well-spoken mentors, and he had plenty time to study. The peace of Regnum Arventia allowed him to bury himself within the history of Minadra and his homeland. Eventually, he enrolled in the University of Segestia in order to surround and immerse himself with like-minded peers.

But as he learned more of Regnum Arventia's history, he came across the Skeroparalioi. He wondered why Arventia never moved to rule them again and soon lost himself in the more intricacies of Skeroparalioi history. He learned a bit of South Jugkraian along way, figuring that learning the Northern towns' language would aid him in his quest for knowledge. At some point, he attempted to travel to Skeroparalia by finding a willing group of adventurers to embark with, but was quickly dissuaded due to the still-high tensions between Arventian and Skeroparalian people. Indeed, he was very sad that his knowledge of Skeroparalia and it's people would be limited to oral and written recountings of history.

Of course, in his quest of knowledge, he had come to realize weaknesses in Regnum Arventia's castles, and, comparing it to Skeroparalia's fortified villages that he had so often read about, became somewhat paranoid. While it was unlikely that war would ever occur considering the peace within the kingdom, Regnum's high status as an industrial land could easily make it a target against jealous invaders. With his learned mind, he decided to set off on a quest to find some way or some kind of plan to better protect Regnum from potential dangers.

He decided to travel forth outside of Regnum Arventia in order to learn more from the surrounding kingdoms and land. Perhaps he could learn or gain something to bring back to Arventia once his travels finished. Currently, his travels have brought him to Ealdormuda, now in search of more funds to continue his quest.

Character Intro:

Hitching a wagon, Quintis had found himself nearing Ealdormuda. He looks over freshly written scrolls, quietly reviewing their contents as his fellow passengers chatter. The Varadaban empire was certainly an experience; the men were scary (in fact, they looked much stronger than the average Arvenses soldier in his eyes), and quite frankly, he was unable to understand their main language--that he blames on his own haste to travel. He was lucky that most everyone he spoke to knew a passable amount of Arventian with the rise of travelers, traders, and all.

He squints, looking over at his notes on the Eahamingas people and their architecture. While nothing too notable, their men were strong-looking, and from what he garnered from their weapons--quite the blacksmiths. He had never seen such quality weaponry and jewelry during his time in Regnum, though he had never spent much time around soldiers nor mercenaries (nor did he read about Regnum's weaponry, he was much more interested in the history and warfare than he was the craftsmanship of smithing; he was specialized man, you see). He did appreciate his time visiting their monasteries, reminded of the peace of Regnum, though only for a little.

The man next to him sets a hand on Quintis's shoulder, a cheery greeting or phrase in a language he can't quite understand. "So, what brings you here," he starts, glancing at the scrolls in Quintis's hands, "scholar boy? You're not from here!"

Quintis clears his throat and fights the urge to rub his eyes. "Just a traveler from a land faraway. Er... in Minadra, nearby."

He gets a better look at the man speaking with him; stocky and tall, and well equipped with travelling gear; another traveler, perhaps a mercenary... Quintis glances away from the sword on the man's hip.

"I'm studying the people here." Quintis begins to put his scroll away. He quickly adds. "And the structures. There's plenty of differences of your people's buildings and..." he thinks back to all the weak defense structures he's studied in Regnum and clears his throat. "Well, my people certainly have different specializations."

The man opens his mouth to reply, but the wagon driver whistles loudly as the cart comes to a halt. Quintis looks ahead. "It was lovely to meet you, stranger, but I must take my leave."

He exits the wagon, checks his belongings before setting into the city of Ealdormuda, and pinches the bridge of his nose with heavy sigh. He'd have to find a job or two to replenish his resources.

Seekers Beyond - a Multifandom Mystery Adventure!

Sounds interesting, I haven't rp'd as a canon character in a long while, let alone a detective, but I could try taking a crack at L or Near if they're open? Very neat concept though!

Intro!

Hi, I'm Auragreedia.

I've been roleplaying for a pretty long time (around ~5 years in random online chatrooms). I'm usually GMing for friends and it's where I'm most comfortable, but I'd like to try being a player again (it's been ages...). My reply length is usually 1-2 paragraphs depending on the scene, although I'm not entirely against one-liners if they fit the scene pace-wise.

For RP genres I enjoy, I'm open for just about anything as long as the premise sounds interesting. Currently interested in trying Mage: The Ascension or VtM, but I don't mind playing other TTRPGs! They're all very interesting to me.
I'm most comfortable rping in groups at the moment, but I'm not against 1-on-1 rps.

I'm also an artist and like to paint digitally from time-to-time! I also like playing CRPGs and I'm always open for recommendations. I also code a bit in choicescript to make my own interactive fictions, though none of them are finished haha.
