My issue with GMing is once the novelty of the new idea wears off, I have no idea what to do next, and everyone is looking at me to progress the narrative.

I still haven’t watched TLOK. It’s on my long list of shows and movies to binge.

Bio

Gay, he/him, Autistic

I’m Crimson Flame and I’m addicted to RPing. But sometimes ADHD kicks in, and it takes me longer to reply to things than it should. If I’m taking too long to respond, feel free to say something. Just don’t be rude about it.

There are a bunch of RPs I like. Pokémon, Digimon, Fantasy, Superhero, it would take too long to list them all. I’m not a fan of Horror or Apocalypse settings though.

I have a particular type of character I like making. Look through my Character Sheet thread, and see if you notice what a lot of my characters have in common.

Character Sheet

Name: Blake Hart

Username: HaloHart

Age: 21

Appearance: Blake is good-looking in a very put-together way. He has blond hair, fair skin, and a soft kind of prettiness that makes people underestimate him. He dresses well, likes pink, and clearly puts effort into how he presents himself. Even in a game built around monsters and combat, he somehow still looks polished.

Bio: Blake got into dueling just like every other kid. It was trendy. Blake gravitated towards the cute and pretty monsters than the usual dragons and giant beaters everyone else thought were cool. He just liked that kind of card more, and he never really saw a reason to pretend otherwise.

He comes from a wealthy family, so he grew up with a lot of nice things and a lot of expectations. Blake was raised to be polished, presentable, and hard to embarrass. His parents weren’t cruel or anything, but they definitely cared more about appearances than feelings, and dueling was never something they took all that seriously. At best, it was a hobby. At worst, it was one more thing Blake was expected to grow out of.

He didn’t.

A lot of people underestimated him early on, both because of the way he looked and because of the kind of deck he ran. Blake learned pretty quickly that a deck full of cute Fairy monsters made people assume he’d be easy to crush. So he got good. He built his whole style around surviving pressure, controlling the pace of a duel, and letting other people make idiots of themselves.

When Cairos Tech announced Advanced Duels, Blake was interested immediately. The idea of entering a virtual world and actually traveling with Duel Monsters sounded way more exciting than normal dueling ever did. More than that, it felt like the perfect chance to take the kind of monsters people always brushed off and prove they could go just as far as anything bigger or uglier.

Playstyle: Blake plays defensively and counts on people underestimating him. He’s patient, hard to rush, and really good at dragging opponents into longer duels where they start making mistakes. His deck isn’t built to overpower people right away. It’s built to survive, annoy, and punish.

Duel Partner(s):

Dunames Dark Witch

Strong against LIGHT and DARK monsters, gaining a small stat boost when facing them.

Petit Angel

Able to dodge one attack once every 3 turns.

Support Cards:

Cestus of Dagla

Sanctuary in the Sky

Solemn Judgement

Divine Punishment

Misc: He’s gay!

I need to write Zach’s session with Zatanna. And I’ve started it, but it’s like ugh.
Do I want to be meta and suggest they watch KPop Demon Hunters? 😏
Just in time for me to make a status about wanting a Pokemon RP.

I uh… still haven’t posted lol

Character Name: Dante Flores

Personality: Dante Flores is the kind of person who always seems put together. He’s charming, stylish, good with people, and knows how to make a strong impression without looking like he’s trying too hard, even when he absolutely is. He cares a lot about how he looks and how others see him. He likes beauty, likes feeling in control, and hates giving people a reason to look down on him. He can be vain, a little dramatic, and defensive when he feels judged, especially by people who assume that because he’s into fashion and social media, he must be shallow. Dante is more sensitive than he wants anyone to know. When he’s scared or hurt, he usually tries to cover it with humor, attitude, or by acting like he’s fine. He likes to seem confident, but a lot of that confidence is an act, and when things go wrong, it freaks him out more than he would want to admit.

Background: Dante is a 23 year old fashion and lifestyle influencer. He’s built a decent local following by posting outfit photos, cafe visits, boutique finds, event appearances, and yes the occasional thirst trap. He has a good eye for what people will respond to, and a knack for making things sound more interesting than they are, which is why his content does so well. He didn’t come from money or instant internet fame, and he worked hard to build what he has now. he knows the local scene better than anyone. He knows which places are actually worth going to, who talks to who, and how to get information from people without making it obvious he’s fishing for it.

Skills: People skills - He knows how to charm people, work a room, and influence how others see him.

Photography - Knows composition, lighting, and visual detail

Video editing - Can film, cut, and edit content together.

Local knowledge — knows trendy spots, neighborhoods, and social circles

Fashion and style: He has a strong sense of what looks good and how to put an outfit together.

Soren took one of the cups carefully, holding it in both hands for a second before taking a sip. The smell helped. He recognized some of the herbs, which honestly made him feel a little less nervous about the whole thing.

When Juniper admitted she hadn’t done this before, his expression softened. “That’s okay,” he said quietly. “I mean… I think this is nice.” He glanced down at his tea, then back up again. “Better than being thrown into a room and told to prove yourself, anyway.”

The words came out before he could second guess them. He blushed, looking away for a second before following the others through to the conservatory, careful not to step on the circle.

Once everyone started introducing themselves, Soren hesitated before speaking. “I’m Soren Virelle,” he said, a little softer than he meant to. “White Witch. Healing magic is my specialty.” A faint white glow flickered around his fingers against the cup, then faded when he noticed it. “And, um… I’m still learning, but I want to help.”
yippie!!

Sorry for my own radio silence! Happy to explain my random mia-ness to themaybreeze privately if needed, but otherwise, life's just kind of been a bitch lately. But!! I'm back and ready to have Finn repress ALL his emotions as always. LMAO.

And Soren will help unrepress them.
Short post is short.

So is mine. That’s normal.

Noel winced at the way Dominimon spoke to them. Who knew Angels could be so rude?

Noel’s hand instinctively lifted at Dominimon’s words, fingers brushing over the gold bracelet around his wrist. The familiar feather charms clicked softly together, but the new one. Small, glowing, and still faintly warm, stood out immediately. A spirit totem. He stared at it for a moment, trying to wrap his head around the explanation. A dead Digimon. A partner. A bond. A world in danger.

That was… a lot.

Still, as unsettling as Dominimon’s tone was, Noel found himself focusing less on the angel’s delivery and more on the others around him. Some looked angry. Some looked frightened. Some looked like they were one more bad sentence away from either bolting or throwing hands. Neither seemed ideal.

Noel took a breath. “So this,” he said quietly, lifting his wrist a little, “is the Digivice?” He said softly “And the totem is… supposed to become our partner? Or help us become whatever you meant by ‘in between’?” He paused, looking down at the bracelet again. The tiny charm looked almost delicate against the gold links, which somehow made the whole situation feel even stranger.

Noel glanced around at the others again, lingering on the ones who still looked unsteady. “I think some of us are still trying to catch up,” he said gently. “So if there’s something important we need to know before moving, now would probably help.”
