The Velvet Room

Aria of the Soul

You awaken from slumber to find yourselves within an unfamiliar location, as opposed to wherever you found yourselves sleeping the night prior. The room is large, filled with bunk beds where you see other individuals stirring nearby, but otherwise seems empty. The bedding you find yourselves lying on is extremely comfortable, but something you can’t place refuses to allow you to return to sleep. The entire room seemed to be made mostly of concrete, with dark blue metal support columns at a regular spacing.

The entire room is pristine, without so much as a speck of dust or a single wrinkle in the bedding that wasn’t caused by the movements of yourselves. At the foot of each bed is a trunk that sits open and empty, and two similarly open empty lockers on each side of the beds. The bedding, lockers, and trunks are all in the exact same shade of blue.

One side of the room seems to stretch on forever, with seemingly endless rows of beds, trunks, and lockers. It ends in a concrete wall with a single metal door that sits slightly ajar, with a strange blue mist that seems to creep out from the other side.

Is there any other bookkeeping issues that need to be handled before we get started? I'm going to get started on drafting the IC introduction, but it'll probably be at least a couple days before it's in a state to be posted. In the meantime, if there are any other issues that need to be addressed that haven't been already, speak now.

If by 'buff' you mean a mundane weapon in a persona user's hands deals more damage than in a normal person's hands, yes. If this is isn't what you meant, I'm gonna need you to explain.

Personality: A young soul uncertain of his place in creation. An honest, earnest cinnamon roll who loves his family despite that. A curious kid who wants his father to be happy, but also wants his own happiness, in whatever form that took. However, there is an aspect of him who is afraid that the world would take his father away from him, and whatever friends he makes, too, and he is well aware that comfort and peace are luxuries, especially in this world. But deep inside is pain, pain and sadness from being born the way he is, from the pitying looks from those who know his origins. At the end of the day, Daniel wants to love and be loved, and eventually, protect his father as his father protects him.

Background: Daniel was born in luxury that he didn't fit in, in privilege that left him isolated. He was raised among grandparents and a 'brother', a brother he admired greatly as he grew up due to his intelligence, kindness, and athleticism. He wanted to be like him from an early age, and he sought to train himself to be like that.

But as he grew up, he learned about the whispers, whispers that he was a bastard; the polite term was 'illegitimate'. He tried to ignore those, focusing on his studies and the friends who liked him despite the rumors, and sorting out the problems of childhood and puberty. He found some happiness, he had good grades in school, and eventually, his studious and kind nature won him the esteem of his teachers and a few of his classmates - Even then, he knew this much took effort to win; he cannot take this for granted.

Then two years ago, at twelve, Daniel found out that his 'brother' was in fact his father, while his mother was... missing. By then, the boy knew better than to be too open, even to his close friends. As for his father, Deuel Palaiologos, he didn't know what to feel. Should he feel betrayed? Should he whine, yell, or accuse? Or should he let go?

It didn't help that he was discovering... feelings for both boys and girls, confusing his thoughts. It was a wonder that he managed to retain friends; his scores at school certainly suffered and he had to take the dreaded (to him) make-up exams. But by then, tested in a social crucible that made him tough but brittle, yet also taught him just who he can count on, the growing young man learned the meaing of courage. Eventually, he accepted this; that his father was still the person he knew from back then.

Time passed and he was now fourteen; his father decided to take him to Washington D.C. one day; there may be more information on his mother...

Other Information: Daniel comes from a rich family that claims descent from the Palaiologos Dynasty of Byzantine Emperors.

Levi glanced up from his food as he heard an off sound, muffled by his headphones. He paused his music and pulled them off, as he recognized it as a chiming bell. He was about to return to his food and ignore it, but he noticed how everyone around him was reacting. The place had been bustling with life, but now the crowd was making space, as people flocked in from the second and third district gates. He ran over to a blonde man who seemed to be helping direct traffic, and tapped him on the shoulder. “What’s happening?” Levi asked, his hand resting on his bat.

The blonde man didn’t turn to face him, instead continuing to direct people while he spoke. “Heartless, and heaps of ‘em. First district’s safe, so people are evacuating here. Now get clear, alright? Follow the crowd, and you’ll be fine.” Levi thought about that for a moment.

I’m not helpless anymore. If these people are being menaced by Heartless… then I should do what I can.

Levi started pushing through the crowd, which got easier as it gradually thinned out. He heard the blonde man call out after him, but ignored it as he pushed forward. While most made to leave the third district, he entered it, summoning True Light’s Flight to his right hand and drawing his bat with his left. He took a moment to help a man who’d fallen to his feet, before running towards the third district’s plaza. Anyone who needed to cross into the first district from the third needed to get through there, so it made sense to hold it as best he could to cover the… civilians felt like an appropriate word to him.

Besides, if Hoshi, or Morgan, or Alias are here, they’ll have to head to the first district themselves. I’d rather make sure it’s a safe trip.

I think at this point it might just be Levi. Lucian will be with Donald and Goofy, Morgan with Max and Daisy, Taivas with Dotty and Zen-Aku, and Hoshi with Leon and Launchpad.

If Zac and Levi need an animal/Disney companion I can conjure up another one if you two want.
