Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Minor Update:

I have done a major bit of work on the implementation of missions this morning, but they are still not quite live yet. I also slightly edited battle stats (Health Points and Power Points) in order to make potions and elixirs more relevant. Now I must get ready for my IRL job.

Thanks Again!
@balthazar007 Rather than having 6 pokemon at level two, would you be able to give me the option of having one Pokemon at level six and just owning a total of six Pokemon? This way the character created has more flexibility, especially if the character I'm creating is attached to one specific Pokemon.

I'll do you one better! Having six Pokemon at level 2 meant that you had 12 levels in total between all of them. I will allow you to divide those 12 levels up among your 6 Pokemon in whatever way you like. That means you can have one level 7 Pokemon and five level 1 Pokemon, OR you can have one at level 4, three at level 2, and two at level 1. I'll leave the distribution of those 12 levels up to you.
@Balthazar007 Yay, both my Pokemon are Level 2!

Ok, I have an idea for a new location. When I post and get my 10th CP, do you want me to PM you?

Exactly, I will work the details out with you through PMs. Eventually, all the guidelines will be found in that opening OOC post. But for now, I'm going to work one on one with each person.

@balthazar007 MWAHAHAHA LEVEL

But, other than that, I'll be PM'ing you about organizations since I now have enough points :3
On another note, does the 'skilled' trainer I make start with Pokemon? 'Cuz if not that's kinda awk, so can he/she start with at least one evolved one?

"To achieve this rank, you must have caught six Pokemon. You must have participated in at least one battle, win or lose. And you must travel to one location besides your starting location."

Above are the minimum requirements to become a skilled trainer. Therefore, it is safe to say that, at the very least, your trainer should have six Pokemon and one of them should be at level 2 because of battling. I'd even go as far as to say that ALL SIX of your Pokemon will be at level 2, because hey, you could have had a six on six battle. Starting off with six free bottom tier Pokemon should be enough of a head start, no middle tier Pokemon.

Great questions everyone!!! Very helpful to all of us!

Hm, don't we have all day to post for the day? Eh either way that's out there now. Anybody feel free to run into Raven on his way out of town, not sure if I'll have him catching Pokemon or something else yet so I left it open-ended for now.

I'm assuming that it was still the 9th when you made your post. It was already the 10th here in my time zone when I saw @Dusksong's and @LuckyBlackCat's posts. I live on the east coast, and you could just as easily live on the west coast. I will award you the bonus points on this assumption, both you and @KiritoAsuna.

@Balthazar007 Yo Bal, was brushing up on the battling system and what not, so. How do we determine our Pokemon's intial level? Status moves appear to not be a thing until later but level is somewhat relevant for combat purposes. Also would it be alright if the two combatants decide to simply RP out the battle rather than stat it up? Obviously the stats system would be used if the two people can't come to an agreement on how the battle would progress but I think it might be easier for less 'do or die' folks to simply work out how the battle would go with their partner.

Look at your "Official Stats", specifically the Pokedex section where it lists the number of each of the Pokemon that you currently hold. Now look at the number that is attached to your Pokemon's number, the number right after the dash. That is your Pokemon's current level. You can increase this level by either battling, using rare candies, or a few other hidden methods (to be revealed soon). Every wild Pokemon starts off at level 1.

If you would like to RP a battle instead of use stats, I would have to take away the benefit of leveling up the Pokemon that you used in the battle. It just wouldn't be fair to trainers that did take the time to get used to the battling system. If you two want to agree on doing things this way though, you can. You can still exchange awards between yourselves, such as Trainer Points and items. Simply let me know of these awards, so that I can update them. I will consider adding in a simplified version of battling as an alternative that will still increase your Pokemon's level. BUT I ask that everyone become familiar with the current battling system.
@LuckyBlackCat@Dusksong
Congratulations to @LuckyBlackCat and @Dusksong for posting on the day of sunrise! Check your "official stats" and find that you have gained a little more than 1 trainer point (you and your Pokemon). As for the rest of us (@czechmate46, @Zarkun, @Lugubrious, @Eklispe, @KiritoAsuna, and @balthazar007), we still have sunset to look forward to!

Everyone please remember, it is now the next day, and the sun is now up in the sky! Who knows what the day has in store for us!?!?!?

Thank you!

Thanks for your patience everyone. I do not think that I will have missions up and ready before tomorrow like originally planned. I am visiting home for my mother's birthday, and everyone has waken up earlier than myself, including my nephews who now want me to spend every waking moment with them. I can't blame them since I haven't seen them since last spring. I convinced them to let me have enough time to update your "official stats" and CPs... and to sneak in this message.

If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get some work done on missions before I go to bed tonight. Otherwise, it will be early tomorrow morning.

Thanks!!
I think what he meant was. "Sleep whenever, just be reasonable about it."

edit: Plus you can just mention it happening when we shift time.

Yeah, what this guy said!
@balthazar007 Righhhhhht Haha totally forgot about that. Sounds good--I'll be PM-ing you after the next post :)

Also, is it okay if my characters don't sleep or is it some kind of unspoken rule that everyone has to sleep haha, 'cuz technically they've "slept" but for unspoken/unquantified amounts of time.

I'm looking forward to your PM. And no, I'm not your characters' mother. They can sleep whenever they like. Lol
@balthazar007 Does the leader of an organization have to be of master rank? If I wanted to create an organization could I make up an extra character like you did, or does one of my characters have to lead it (considering that they're both on their second day, I don't see how that really makes sense haha)

An organization leader must be at the "Skilled Rank". When you create an organization, you are given one free character as well. This character will be a "skilled" trainer. You can either set this new character as the default leader of the organization, or you may use an already established trainer.
