I'm curious, would the ring give him any telepathic abilities?

Unless your counting his ability to communicate with the dead due to the ring, no.

Also, don't try and push your character as "the one ring user that quickly masters his ring's powers". To keep the playing field level, only tiny glimpses of power can be witnessed here in the opening pages.

Everything was fine except the mentioning of the IQ test. You can allude to something akin to an IQ test, but the IQ test and IQ score as we know it was created in the early 1900's. That's more than 1000 years into the future of this RP. If you fix this, I will approve your character sheet.

@Balthazar007 What's the age limit? I was thinking of having someone with the inability to age and go through puberty.

There are no age limits. He/she can be as young or old as you want them to be.

And I guess your ring could grant you the ability to not age, as you can absorb life force from others to stay young, but the way you made it sound is the character has that ability without the ring. That wouldn't be correct. The only magic in this RP comes from the rings. But I would like to assume that's what you meant in the first place.

Haha! I just added a theme song from youtube to the Oth post in the IC tab. I like it! It's fun reading with it in the background.

Thanks @Valkan, I got the idea from your character sheet. I remember how much fun it added to reading your biography with the music playing in the background.

@Balthazar007 The indigo ring controls the dead, does this include spirits, aka ghosts and darkness?

Yes, but the longer something/someone has been dead and the more powerful it was when living, the more difficult it will be to bring them back and to control. Here in the beginning, all our rings only show whispers of power. So controlling a spirit or even a recently dead rat is out of the question for now.

IC posting rate: Never post twice in a row; instead, you can edit in new info if no one else has posted yet. Wait till at least four others have posted since your last post OR till three days have past since your last post before you make another.

Hello to everyone!

I need to set a little rule now. I'll add it into the OOC post as well.

Whenever someone doesn't post to the RP for two weeks straight, I will reopen this RP to new applicants. If someone replies before the inactive member makes another post, the inactive member's character will loose his/her ring to the newcomer. Any post within the IC tab or the OOC tab qualifies as being active. So even if you don't have time to write in the main story line, at least let us know OOC that you are still following along.

Previously inactive members can return to the RP even if all rings are spoken for. Their character can be a "ringless" character. If another ring opens back up because of a new inactive user, "ringless" characters have first dibs.

I've made my first IC post. I hope to meet more of you IC soon. I left the location vague so that geography wouldn't constrict anyone. My character is just in a pub, in some random medieval city.
