The Tales of Adventum [Re-Opened]

Hello Everyone!

I'm ready to give this RP another try. I'm going to be skinning it down QUITE a bit to make it even less statistic based, but not so much that there is no strategy. We need more writing and less math. I think it will take 2 hours from this moment to complete.

Balthazar only noticed the demon fog he himself had created AFTER his euphoric state of bliss had passed."Interesting" he spoke to himself while looking down at the city below. Mocking no one in particular, he apologized, "Pardon me, I didn't mean to cause such a scene." He then bellowed out three loud bursts of laughter. "HA HA HA!"

The dark lord was pleased as he surveyed the field. His minions were causing massive amounts of destruction all across the city. More angels were entering the fray. Some magical humans were putting in a valiant effort as well. And the battle against the eggs? Well that sure was a strange sight. His platoon squashed egg after egg, only for them to be revived by the fog as well and continue fighting. It was an endless cycle that was quite amusing, comical even. Once the novelty of it wore off though, he turned his sights elsewhere.

His next words were amplified through demonic magic, so that everyone in the city could here, but the message itself was clearly intended for the army of angels that was obviously planning their counter attack off in the distance. "Oh no. It seems I have accidentally crop dusted the entire city and made the air quite repulsive to the pristine noses of angels! Is that why you are so far away? I'm so embarrassed! Hahaha! Or is it... that you are afraid? HAHAHA! It could be both I suppose... I tell you what! I'll remove the fog if you will come and play! How does that sound!?"

True to his word, the fog began to recede away from the edges of the city. But of course, there was a catch; things are never that simple. Before half of the fog lifted into the sky, the other half of it poured directly into the nostrils of every demon in his army. (He of course made sure to pull the stuff out of the Bad Eggs as well, leaving them no more powerful than they were to start with.) This produced maddening results. His minor demons rampaged across the city with powers they had never before dreamed of having. The middle tier demons held on to their sanity, if only just, and set their eyes on more challenging prospects. The top tier demons reveled in their ever increasing powers, but they stayed waiting close to heart of Downtown, upon their master's telepathic orders.

Balthazar watched in great interest, wondering if he had been too aggressive in his actions. Would his newly empowered army destroy the opposition too early?

Can everyone please put all of their character sheets into hiders? And make sure that all organizations ARE NOT in hiders. I think the entire 'characters' tab flows better that way.

I included you @dimitri, because you still have a character sheet here, even if you might not be with us anymore. Please put your sheet in a hider as well, unless you want to delete the entire thing instead and just leave behind a blank space. Thanks!

Alright ladies and gents. Please say thank you to @LuckyBlackCat for bringing some things on Items to my attention. They have been even further re-vamped. Please re-read through all three hiders in the ITEMS section of the 0th OOC post. There's plenty of new information to be found there.

This also effects Poke Marts once again. Please refer to any one of my location's Poke Marts to see exactly how. I'd say that this is a major improvement and makes things easier on location creators.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. If it isn't obvious already, feedback is taken very seriously.

@Balthazar007 Yep, fixed up the mart.

Just a question about consistency. In the old thread, a few characters had items that aren't currently in the registry (Ella has Black Sludge, Leisy has Soft Sand, etc). Also, type-boosting items now seem to be Expert items, but some Skilled trainers already have them. That and there have been quite a few mentions of berries, at least the basic, low-level healing and status curing ones.

Would it be possible to have all those basic berries in the registry (not the rarer ones, the supereffective damage reducing ones and the like could come later), as well as a few more type-boosting items, with the rank restriction lowered to Skilled? Maybe the price could go up to offset this.

Anyway, I'll try to move more stuff over today and get a post up soon.

Everyone, yes, try to make sure to make sure you get your Poke Marts looking good if you have a location.

But don't forget to post IC as your character before the end of this month. You can even do this before worrying about your Poke Mart's inventory. I say this for two main reasons...

First:

There are numerous ways to earn TP:

• Every time you post IC, your character earns one TP.
• Your first IC post of each month earns your character 5 TP instead of 1 TP.
• Each type of organization has its own unique way of awarding TP.
• TP can transfer user-to-user in the form of gifts, selling items, or 'battle wagers' (later section).

Second:

There are many different ways to level up a Pokemon.

• Pokemon can gain one level by having a battle with a wild Pokemon.
• Pokemon can gain two levels by participating in a PvP battle.
• All Pokemon left at a daycare at the time of your first IC post in an IRL month will gain two levels. This cannot be combined with the Pokemon party condition below.
• All the Pokemon in your party at the time of your first IC post in an IRL month will gain three levels. This cannot be combined with the Pokemon daycare condition above.
• Pokemon may gain levels from the item called "Rare Candy".
• Pokemon may gain levels through special conditions from special Pokeballs or Special Items.

EDIT: So by getting a post in before this month ends, you can still get the bonuses at the begining of November as well, which is right around the corner.

ALSO: At the moment, the RP is in day time. But since it's about to turn night time, it might make sense if we all agreed to write as if it was late in the day, if not moments before nightfall. Oh and in case you didn't hear. We are not picking up exactly where the last RP left off. A couple of days have past.
