Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Logistically speaking, that's a short term fix, long term mess. Trust me.

Please explain further. What alternative do you suggest?
@Balthazar007 So... About mission rewards. Because it's harder to get TP now, and many items are much more expensive, would it be possible to increase point values a little? I'm thinking a x1.5 multiplier or something along those lines.

How does that sound? It just seems like it'd be more fitting for the CP cost and the in-character effort.

I left TP rewards the same, but just did a significant drop in the CP cost of making a mission. That should effectively accomplish what you're after. Not making each mission reward crazier, but instead, making missions more abundant.
Nicholas (Nick) Dalton

Central City (City Park)

Nick relaxed in a park bench under the lighting of a street lamps. All three of his Pokemon were playing a game of tag. Feathers (Staravia) was at a clear advantage, being able to fly and all. The sight whole scene was quite humorous. Despite the disadvantage, Little Guy (Munchlax) wasn't giving up; neither was Krabby for that matter.

Little did Nick know, a wild Liteo had sneaked his way underneath the bench and was watching the three Pokemon play as well. His tail flicked back and forth as they scurried to and fro. He really wanted to join in, but felt quite shy, and 'what of this human above him? Was the human nice or mean?' he wondered. Deciding to play it safe, the little Liteo crouched down further content to relax and watch. Slowly he drifted off to sleep, being tired out just from watching the three go at it.

Krabby was the first of the three to get worn out. His little crab legs weren't made for constant running. Slowly, he scuffled back toward Nick. As he approached the bench, he noticed the wild Liteo curled up in a ball napping. Humans might consider this cute, but the only thing Krabby noticed was a tail flicking back and forth, as if the Liteo was having exciting dreams. Something about the tail flicking mesmerized Krabby. Focusing on nothing else, he approached the Liteo and its tail.

Nick's focus was still on the two Pokemon playing tag. 'Where did Little guy get all the energy?' he thought to himself. Feathers on the other hand seemed to be tiring out. Anytime she would dive down to tag him, he would immediately jump before she could fly off and tag her right back. 'What a clever little bugger!' Nick thought, as a smile crossed his face.

*SNAP* The sound of Krabby pinching down on the Liteo's tail permeated the night. A surprised screech came from Liteo as it immediately woke up and began running around the park, dragging Krabby along.

Nick stood as quickly as he could and shouted, "HEY Krabby, let that Pokemon go!"

It took a moment for Krabby to fully grasp what he had done and hear Nick's call. Releasing his grip, he tumbled a few feet, landing on his legs. The wild Liteo turned and gave the Krabby a harsh look that actually made Crabby take a step backward in hesitation. In that moment of unease, the wild Liteo took the opportunity to escape into the night.

Nick immediately started scolding Krabby, "What was that for Krabby? You could have hurt the poor guy." Krabby simply looked down in shame. His response tugged at Nick's soft side. Feeling a little bad for raising his voice, Nick followed up with a deep sigh, "But I guess it's in your nature to use those claws of yours." A thought ran across Nick's mind, "Hey, Krabby. How about we call you 'Snap'? It's quite fitting I'd say!" The Krabby snapped both its claws in the air multiple times as if to take pride in the name. "But you have to promise me that you won't go using those on others unless we're in a battle. Okay?" Nodding his whole body, Snap agreed.

Somehow Little Guy and Feathers had completely missed the whole Krabby/Liteo ordeal. Little Guy laid had passed out on top of Feathers, while she lie pinned underneath, too drained to crawl away. Nick and Krabby both had a laugh at the sight before Nick recalled all of his Pokemon into their Pokeballs.

Nick was feeling hungry and was sure his Pokemon had to feel the same way. They were in their Pokeballs, and he wasn't sure if they could hear him, but he spoke out loud anyway, "Let's go get some grub." Off to the Poke Center they went.

Not far behind, Nick had a cute little stalker, the wild Liteo was dashing from one hiding spot to the next, careful not to be seen.

+1 CP = 16 CP
@Balthazar007 Question: can trainers elect not to evolve Pokemon until later? I just realized that Leisy's some Pokemon are set to evolve to tier 2, but since she's only a skilled rank trainer and that there's a mechanism for not evolving Pokemon in-game, I was wondering if she could do the same?

yes. reference my last IC post on that. I'll put something in the manual on that soon.
@Balthazar007

Sorry, I've been meaning to post but I managed to acquire some internal bruising on my left side. I spent most of today laying in bed and trying not to move too much, because it hurts like Hell. Hopefully it'll be better by tomorrow, so I'll try and get a post off by then.

sounds rough. Get better soon.

No rush, but remember.

Three, begin writing, and be consistent about it. If you do not post as your character IC for three weeks AND do not post OOC for one week, your character will be marked as inactive. If your character was an angel or demon, it will switch sides. When this happens, a user from the other side may claim ownership of your character, this will be the first person that PMs me about it. If a character from the In-between category goes inactive, the first two users (one from each opposing side) that PM me about it will enter into an epic RP battle. The winner of the battle will be determined when one user concedes defeat OR does not post IC for one IRL week.

Seriously, no rush. I would love to add to my army. :)

Announcement:

I have made changes to the manual in the "Pace" hider. (0th OOC post > Manual > Pace)
Weather patterns have been removed, and "Breaking News!" updates have replaced them.

Don't worry if you're not posting as quickly as you would like to. It's okay. We can all move at our own pace. But please be sure to check in via OOC posting, at least once a week to let us know you're still around.

Thanks!

@Balthazar007 Yep, will take another look over the old thread and get working on it.

Edit: Also updated the marts with the new items.

Could I suggest a new special building type - Tuition Center? Pokemon would be able to learn tutorable moves from any generation there (a possible limitation could be the moves can't be other than the Pokemon types found in the location, or there could be a set list of ten or so moves). I'd be happy to help with pricing.

Sure, we can do something like that. How about we call it "Tutor Center". Location owners can pick up to 5 moves per "Tutor Center" We'll use the same pricing/ranking as TMs. (greater than 19 base PP = 10 TP "Beginner" / 10-19 base PP = 20 TP "Skilled" / less than 10 base PP = 40 TP "Expert")

How does that sound? I won't put them in the "Item Registry" or anywhere else, each location will have it's own list, in the "Tutor Center" hider.

Also, thank you for the chapter summaries you sent me via PM. I condensed them a bit and put them in the Oth IC post.

Alright Everyone!

I have finished adding practically every single item that is available in Pokemon Showdown into our RP. That means that every single "Battle Item" that will exist is now available (at least until a new generation of Pokemon are added). If you are a location owner, you might want to look through the newly updated "Item Registry" and update your Poke Mart(s) accordingly.

Remember, if it doesn't have a price, it cannot be found in a Poke Mart.

I still have a few ideas for new General Items and Special Items, but that's for another day. If you have any suggestions on possible new general items or special items, let me know. If you have any comments on the ones currently in place, also let me know. I sort of threw everything up in a hurry, they could be modified.
@LuckyBlackCat

Hey, do you think you could PM me a good but short description of all the major plot points that happened in the old thread? I want to add it into the 0th OOC post in the Chapter Summary hider. That will help new users and myself get a better understanding of the big picture thus far.
