Outside the guild, I looked back to it with hopeful eyes, determined that tommorow I was going to give it my all. My optimistic tone changed to frustration as the eyes on the dragon staff on my back glowed. "Shut up Kilgarrah!" I'd throw the staff on the ground. "Your the one that recommended me to this crap to start with, just because i have no experience with actual combat doesn't mean i won't loose whatever the challenge thing they were talking about." I paused as the staff glowed again. As if listening to the utter silence around me. "Dont make fun of me, your supposed to be my partner!" I stomped my foot, protesting as if i was talking to someone. "You watch, ill be in the guild in no time!"
As I began to walk down the staircase at the spire, I noticed how warmer and bright it was in comparison to its intimidating atmosphere at night, I would begin to appreciate the walls and ceiling around me, however this distracted me. Slipping on a step from not paying attention I would again tumble down the long spiraling staircase, rolling and hitting each step creating a series of echoing metallic sounds and heavy thuds until I reached the bottom of the stairs, face planting on the floor, and groaning.
"I think giving them a nice welcome party is appropriate, take it easy on the teasing though, were not bullies." I said as I looked to Joseph. "What do you guys think?"
"Ladies ladies calm down!" I said, butting into their arguments and placing my left hand on Avery's shoulder, my right on Aly's. "Look were all working for the same people, we all got to find these files or whatever, why don't we put aside these petty disputes and go do our job so we dont get zapped by the authorities hmm?" I looked at the three of them with a friendly smirk.
"Wow, guess its a five man team huh?" I smirked childishly with my pure white teeth grinning at the other four in the group, rubbing my left hand through my own messy hair. Only wearing white shorts I had nothing else on, not even shoes, and my left hand was on my hips.
Age: Existence began near the end of Camelot's history
Race: Drakken
Drakkens are beings that result from the mergence/fusion of a willing dragon and human, sacrificing their souls and individualities for their souls to become the homogeneous mixture that is a Drakken. Drakkens are technicly a new being, but resemble both qualities, memories, and skills of their former counterparts. For instance, if the human that made the Drakken was good with swords or magic spells, then so would that Drakken, additionally, if the dragon that made up the Drakken can breathe fire, so too can the Drakken. However the more complex and rare a skill/ability is, the more likely it will not be transfered to the Drakken, or modified to some degree once transfered. A Drakken on the surface as a singular conscience, but it is driven by two consciences collectively, any attempt at mind control or telepathy may cause chaos in mental conditions for both the Drakken and the being who is using such mind powers, as the collected conscience can cause an enigmatic disruption or chaotic factor to such abilities. Drakkens are not perfect humans, nor perfect dragons, and can shift between both their 'human' and 'dragon' form at any time. Like ability transfering, their forms often resemble the originally counterparts that make up the drakken, however there are differences that are influenced by the other half. For instance, the human form will often possess reptilian eyes, horns, wings, tails, claws, and/or other draconic features in any combination, While the dragon form may have a humanoid appearance, or even variations in over all design such as size differences, color scheme, scale type, etc.
Powers/qualities:
Passive ascension of physical abilities such as strength, speed, and stamina compared to the average human, this trait is most noticeable in the human form, also increases senses. Like all dragons fire/heat immunity is also another trait, and the luminating eye property that is common with many dragons which offers night vision. Minor regeneration which can allow major injuries and limb loss to regrow over time, as well as loss of scales or scars. However the regeneration process takes weeks or months depending on the wound or limb loss, and cannot save him from fatal wounds unless he was kept alive by some other source long enough for the regeneration to fix it. (if he was missing a heart that could take a month and a half.). Timeless, Dragons are not impaired by age and are immortal against time, so dying naturally is an impossibility for them. Scales are naturally as durable as solid iron, which can make them difficult to damage. In his human form his wings and tail are the only scales he has access too, so for additional protection armor is necessary.
Production and manipulation of fire, usually a fire breathe but can also be produced from other points like the skin, and can be controlled to manifest shapes or forms or concentrate its energy in different manners, such as a beam-like fire attack or sea of fire. Such ability is common with dragons
Transforms between human and dragon forms. His dragon form oftens drastic improvements in physical qualities (other then mobility) but suffers from being a bigger target and while much more destructive, its easier to battle a singular opponent in the human form, the human form also of course allows use of his weapons.
Kilgarrah the sacred dragon was infamous for his pyschic abilities in addition to his mastery over fire and unusual poisons, however when transferred to the Drakken the psychic power has been stored in a biological gem encrested on the forehead in both forms. The gem is fragile and can break from either being struck or exhausted of psychic energy, however it can regenerate over time. While the gem isn't broken, the user can use minor telekinesis, counter/prevent space/time manipulation (or any form of reality manipulation), Sense or force away spirits and similiar entities, and shoot small beams of psychic energy that has a piercing quality. So long as the gem isnt broken, Kilgarrah is immune to illusions, counter control mental attacks or abilities such as someone attempting mind control, and ignores direct reality manipulation upon him (such as for example if someone had the power to erase himself from existence,)
Kilgarrah had an unusual ability for most dragons, and that was its injecting venom. While there are many dragons that have poisonous qualities, Kilgarrah was the few that could inject toxic venom via claws, teeth, or its barbed and speared tail. The venom acts as a paralyzer that can take full effect to something as large as a griffon within minutes. Also, like most dragons, the blood has an acidic quality that is as potent as weak hydrochloric acid, as well as usually being kept at boiling temperatures as many dragons with fire abilities keep their body temperature high with internal fires. On contact with skin it would take minutes for any real damage other then burning skin, but it can errode away weak metals and soil a bit faster.
Very little mastery over the element, only applies to shooting a few variations of wind blasts, projectiles, and gusts by use of his wings, and a suprisingly agile flier despite his size.
Currently has little control over this ability, and when it happens it is usually involuntary. Soul attunement usually involves in some sort of protection, attack, or ghostly summon of one of two souls that the Drakken has. Lancelot provides a protecting shield of spiritual energy, weapon buffer enchanting his weapon with holy properties, and can be summoned as a white tangible (but transparent) knight with a large Lance. Kilgarrah can be used as a ghostly, tangible serpent. A ghastly serpentine aura for protection, or buffs fire abilities into ghost fire (White flames made of spiritual energy) This ability usually occurs when the Drakken is at a state of danger or near death in combat, and the effects are involuntary, chosen by the souls of him instead, and last briefly.
From the original Lancelot, he has good experience with weaponry. He keeps a magic weapon that can change between a Lance and a Katana that he can summon to his side at any time while in his human form, in addition he can also summon his armor in his human form.
Weakness: Temperatures below 60 degrees is unbearable for Lancelot and will have to expend energy to heat up his own body to save from freezing to death, cold based attacks are also a problem. His chest in his dragon form is soft enough to be struck with swords unlike the rest of his body. Pride can get the better of him and bring him into rash actions.
Appearance:
7'02 human, with somewhat tan skin, relatively muscular. Often adorned in red and black steel armor and helmet. Green eyes laminate passively like dim candles of emerald flames. A pair of black wings with a crimson red underbelly, and a keeled scaled, lumbering black tail with crimson scutes on its bottom. Has a small pair of horns amidst messy, mane-like White hair.
30 meters long, with six limbs. Two arms (that usually act as front feet but are slightly shorter and more hand-like in design, so can stand and move in bipedal posture. back legs, theropod like, and massive wings that double the size of his lizard-like torso. A medium sized neck, relatively thick, and a saurian head with three horns, one on the snout, two curving from the back. A pair of tusks that reach a meter or two past the snout on its jaws. His scales aside from his belly are keeled and armor like, ebony black in color. Eyes are the same as his human state. The belly are blood red scutes that are formed like flat plates, and the membrane of the wings are the same crimson color. A row of barbs run along the spine from the back of the head to the tip of the tail, which is speared with a triangle shaped portrusion that acts like a spear.
Bio: Betraying Camelot, Lancelot formed a pact with Kilgarrah, who was growing ill of an unknown disease. They became the Drakken they are now, and left Camelot to travel the worlds without any sort of law or guidance holding them back, other then a strive to be as chivalrous as one could be, when not of course, enraged by something. While centuries of existence has taught him patience, he has a short temper when it comes to his pride, and his greed often leads him into trouble with stealing or treasure hunting. As a student he keeps his treasure hoard on his bed in his room
