@Ludditetechie Felix acknowledges that preservation of the church of Torag will be paramount in any new civilization. His main concern, however, is the journey there. Traveling by ship for an untold amount of time into uncharted territories- the survivors will need the favor of the deities more than ever, and they haven't enough priests for each ship in the fleet. Should the gods turn their eyes from them, or worse, should a ship's population fall into heathenism... These are dark times, but darker times lie in wait.
@manapool1 We've got 6 now, and based on how complex this is looking, I don't think I'll be able to handle more than that. If anyone drops, however, I'll be sure to message you.
Some more background to help you flesh out your characters:

So the scourge began invading around a year ago, each character has made their way to the city if they weren't there already. They had enough renown to be looked to for leadership and they've been spending most of the past six months preparing the 150 ship fleet for escape and building up their defenses. Needless to say the general emotions of the city are rooted in tension and fear

Trade has obviously stopped for the most part. Some aristocrats still think they can buy their way into a better position, but nobody else seems to care much about money at the moment.

Many traditionalists blame recent technological advances for either attracting the scourge or incurring the gods' wrath to send the scourge upon civilization. Felix has been the most successful and influential priest, and the society has a strong leaning towards Torag, though all the gods typically found in a city are still being worshiped and followed. Agatha, Haruki's character, also lowkey has a cult following.

The bastion is divided such that the slums are a long, narrow stretch that borders the wall. The most minority races (gnomes, half-elves, half-orcs, orcs, tieflings, kobolds, catfolk, ratfolk, and tengu) live in the slums, alongside a sizeable number of the halfling population.

There is a dwarven quarter where one end of the wall meets the water, and an elven quarter where the other end meets the water. The docks were bought out by the wealthy as soon as they heard the plan to evacuate. The rest of the city, mostly humans and halflings, live in the center.

The dwarves are represented by Gammar, a war hero and leader who had the foresight to move his people to the Bastion before the Xill could kill most of them.

The elves are represented by a council. Though most of them keep to themselves, Lorekeeper Ayrie, and occasionally Llenasae, act as ambassadors between the city's leaders and the council.

If the slums have any representation, it's through The Compelling Savages. This organization is considered criminal, however, so they don't communicate directly with any leaders.
@manapool1 I'm still waiting on character sheets, but yeah I'm fine with you watching
@Guardian Angel Haruki and @Ludditetechie is that alright with you?
Heyya Lud, sent you a PM to the discord as well.

Also, I know I said 4-5 in the interest thread, but is anyone opposed to a 6th? @Cu Chulainn wanted to bring a friend in
Okay, I PMed you guys the Discord link. I also have a friend coming in as a fifth, she should be introducing herself here soon.
also do yinz have Discord for OOC and dice rolls?
@Ciaran I prefer non-optimized, makes games feel more real and interesting.

Seeing as we're building a kingdom, I'm actually considering running a Forgepriest, or perhaps some other sort of crafter, like a craft-focused Alchemist. I may need help on going through crafting rules, however...

Scrolled past this the last time, yeah I can help out with crafting rules. We can also use these alternate crafting rules, if that's simpler for you.
@JImFromTheOfice Nice catch, I apparently overlooked that as well.

@Guardian Angel Haruki Great, but FYI, starting gold based on level factors in the starting gold level one characters get, so you can't afford your extra gear and 50 gp. Though one of your teammates might be willing to buy the light crossbow and hide shirt for you.
