Bio
Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.
In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!
Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!
These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.
Personality: Solen is a timid boy, but he craves knowledge and thrives in chaos. He tends to prefer isolation purely because he is not an instigator and does not enjoy the average rigamarole of daily life. He isn't rude or stoic, and to most people, he is a rather pleasant, patient, and forgiving person. Solen tends to let people take advantage of him or use him for their benefit; he struggles with saying 'no'.
Solen is, however, brave in the face of true danger. Where others might be cowardly and flee, Solen is undeterred. He fights through his fear, and his good nature requires that he put himself at risk for others. Solen is also undeterred by the strange, peculiar, and unusual. He is a man of science and wizardry, and more than anything,g is a curious critter. So much so that he can sometimes overlook his safety for a chance at making a discovery. This has led to many problems in his apprenticeship, as his attempts at breaking new ground often result in fires, unintended hexes, and other such issues.
Bio: Solen knows very little about where he came from. Solen remembers tunnels and burrows, and thousands of people who looked just like him. He remembers a great hustle and a collapsed tunnel, then his memories do not pick up until he in an infirmary, being tended to by distressed nurses. He was a refugee, according to them, taken here with a crowd of many of his kind. There are still cracks in his exoskeleton that remind him of his injury, an injury that nearly took his life.
Without a home, without a family, Solen became another hungry refugee scouring for food. His luck would finally give him a break when a wise and powerful wizard took him in. This was none other than the illustrious Father Roach, a clerical master of Pollens who cured injuries and diseases in the name of righteousness... Or so Solen thought. Quickly, he realized the truth of Father Roach, that he is an extortionist. While talented in his craft, he charges a fortune for his skills and primarily aids the wealthy and elite. In truth, he had only taken Solen in to aid him in his work. Still, Father Roach occasionally gave Solen valuable lessons in magic. Lessons that did not fall on deaf ears. Solen became an insatiable learner, absorbing any new magical knowledge he could get his hands on. Father Roach still keeps him on a tight leash, always needing someone to tidy up and to heal the minor injuries for him, but Solen is prone to wandering and experimenting. For his many accidents in his attempts at learning on his own, and for his tendency to wander into places others dare not go, Solen had been given the title of 'fool' by his peers. They mock and jeer him, but Solen is determined to keep up his pursuit of knowledge!
P R O F I L E Being a vampire has changed Drake from a jovial and friendly guy to be much more stand-offish and gruff. He tends to stay stoic when he can, but when blood or answers are involved, he becomes an exceptionally excitable individual. The few 'friends' Drake has left get to see the 'good' in him. Deep dow,n Drake is just a scared young man lashing out in fear. To those close to him, he is loyal, compromising, and a solid confidant. To others, he's a bloodthirsty maniac.
In situations where he is in danger, Drake is a surprisingly cunning foe. Cowardly by nature, he prefers ambushes and rushes down before quickly fleeing if he can't make a clean kill. In situations where he had been cornered, expect the actions of a trapped fox, lashing out like a feral beast. At his heart, Drake is sweet, but vampirism has a way of tainting even the most kind of souls..
D A Y S - G O N E Drake grew up in a rough household. His family was disjointed and poor, and Drake learned to stay out of the house to keep his parents's ire away from him. He was raised by the streets, learning many hard lessons. Eventually, his rebellious teen phase led him down a life of crime. Selling drugs, minor thefts, and plenty of other petty crimes helped him get the things he wanted. As he grew older, he grew bolder and his crimes grew more in intensity. Muggings, pickpocketing and burglary were quickly added to the list. Drake's family abandoned him after he was sent to prison for his crimes and he spent three years trying to reform. As a young adult of 23, fresh out of prison, he decided to change his ways.
Drake moved away from his hometown, found a job as a janitor and tried to keep his head down in his dingy new apartment. Being alone was torture, and the pain of poverty slowly crept back into his life. Finally, after his car broke down on him he grew desperate and once again returned to a life of crime. Unfortunately for him it was short lived.
In an attempted mugging gone wrong, Drake quickly learned about the supernatural. His target, which appeared to be a rough and ragged man using an atm in an isolated spot was not as defenceless as Drake had expected. When Drake pulled a knife on the man, they where on him in a flash, biting his neck. In Drake's last moments of life he fought with his quickly draining strength, clawing and thrashing in vain.
When he awoke, the man he had attacked stood before him, blood still smeared across his mouth. They quickly explained what had happened, the embrace, and the hunger Drake was feeling. Then, they left in a flash before Drake could ask any further questions.
Lost in the hunger of a fresh embrace, Drake tasted blood for the first time in his life. The act horrified him, and he fled from town that very night, afraid of being caught and afraid of harming anyone he knew. With his car still broken down, he moved on foot, hitchhiking when he could but never staying around for long.
Drake spent the next year traveling the country, hunting for prey in the woods and countryside in an attempt to save himself from ever drinking human blood again. He spent nights in any shelter he could find: rest stop bathrooms, caves, barns, anything. When he made it to Riverside, he looked as ragged as he felt.
The local Gangrels found him quickly, angry that he had entered their territory unannounced. They asked him the titular question: "How many winters?" and when he gave them his answer, they took him in. Drake found no kinship in those who trained and cared for him, though. They encouraged him to lose his heart, to give in to the beast's call and become like them. Undead hunters of the night. Warriors of the Anarchs. Drake disliked the constant sparring and beatings they called lessons, as well as the camaraderie. Still, they kept him fed and taught him to form his claws so he keeps a polite relationship.

Drake may act as if he is too good for his kindred and use smarm and snide remarks to lash out for others. Deep down though his humanity is still intact and he wants nothing more than to do as little harm as he possibly can. He drinks from animals and blood bags, doing anything he can to never taste fresh human blood. He tries not to engage in human politics and crime unless nessecary and mostly keeps to himself. The less he engages with the world of vampires or humans the less collateral purely for his existence. He tends to try to endure punishment when he can and while it may make him seem like a groveling fledgling or an apethetic monster, he truly just does not want to esculate.
N A T U R E Survivor
Drake detest the vampiric fallacy that their humanity is a weakness. He clings to it and strives over anything to find a cure. He refuses to debase himself to the rituals and society when he can, and just wants his old crummy life. Even with every sign and older vampire telling him that there is no hope he would do anything to escape his curse.
D I S C I P L I N E Protean (level two): Eyes of the beast, Feral claws
The heat was sweltering, so much so that the inside of the Valkyrie bordered on uninhabitable. As such, for the majority of the time spent at point beta, Rally was out of her Walker. With her uniform off, fanning herself with the manual to her mech in her undershirt. Despite the inhospitable conditions of the jungle, Rally couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. She had spent so much of her life on Argos, in an underground bunker devoid of life.
It was shocking to see a land teeming with life, the sounds of it bordering on deafening, the aroma enticing, and the landscape utterly beautiful. She was disappointed when her com beaconed her to her mission, reminding her that she had come here for destruction, not peace. The thirty-odd minutes she spent here were pleasant to say the least.
"This is Valkyrie sounding off, commencing operation," She said wistfully into her com as she stood up from the shoulder of her Walker, stretching a bit before entering her cockpit. Flicking a few switches and turning a few knobs caused to massive robotic humanoid to slowly stand to it's full height, the multiple lights at it's 'head' lighting up. The gigantic grey mech whurred to life with the sound of her engine thumping and pistons pumping. Slowly, the colossal man-shaped machine rose up.
"Entering combat mode," A robotic voice from inside the cockpit announced. It was something Rally had come to expect when her machine turned on. The automated computer system chimed in with updates, usually involving the status of her device's current condition. It seemed strange, but she could never help but reply. "Thank you, Valkyrie."
With her machine turned on, she scanned the area with its camera, making sure the other two hadn't pressed on without her. Flicking her com link back on, she hailed the two of them. "Are we sticking to the initial plan? If so, you two might want to get behind me." She stated, beginning to advance her clunky machine. The gas springs audibly creaked with each step, keeping the immense weight from utterly crushing the ground underneath her with outright. Still, she couldn't help but frown at the sight of the damage in her wake, trampled shrubs and scattered woodland critters. Nevertheless, she made a steady advance toward the enemy encampment.
If he's alone, Marcus' strategy would be stealth sniping
First he would drop-off with the mech deactivated so that the sensors won't find bumble sting.
Then after landing on a good spot he will destroy the enemy myrmodon in one shot followed by cluster bombing it to dust and using his mobility to cause chaos for escape.
I would love to talk shop with yall, but I will try to do it in character as much as possible. I figure we can't particularly be too stealthy about this though: we are in giant mechs and the jungle isn't easy to move quietly in.
My proposal is this, us two tanky lads start an initial frontal assault. Rally can probably take out armored vehicles with her machine guns and her Comeradery could be good with coordinating strikes on the enemy Myrmidon. in the meantime, Bumblesting can take advantage of the distraction to maybe get some good hits in on the prime target, the enemy Myrmidon
I will try to get a post out tomorrow or Thursday
Edit: Didn't see Ricky before, maybe instead have Rally go for the other mech head on?
