Cal nodded. "Deal. And also I would like to go on a few missions with you. Running them solo isn't good for my health" he gave a small shrug and started making up batter. Two bowls for two flavors. With a blender beater in each hand he got to work. It didn't take very long for both types of batter to be mixed up. One was a red and the other chocolate. He handed her both beaters and tilted his head. "What do you think? Need anything?"

He had the ice cream ball sitting on the counter along with ingredients to make it. He was actually having fun and was glad he bumped into Zoe. This cake making and hanging out lifted his spirites and focused his brain on something happy.

Cal chuckled as Zoe's ego inflated. He didn't even feel bad about inflating that ego...especially when he had meant it. He really did feel better...he was no where near 100%, but her words stuck in his brain and got him away from the cliff of depression.

Cal grinned as Zoe raked through flavors. "I'm thinking red velvet with a chocolate swirl and a glaze of some sort. Oh and sprinkles...definitly need sprinkles" he stopped walking when she did and tilted his head. His brain trying to register what she was talking about. "Your..what?" he blinked and the look of realization crossed his face as he shook his head. "No...no no. I wouldn't do that." he tilted his head. "I was just hoping we could hang out. Eat cake. That sort of thing." he rubbed the back of his neck and seemed to realize he was still in his upgraded suit. He raised up a finger for the hang on sign and sped off. He reappeared in casual clothes and put his hands in his pockets. "I did buy one of those homemade ice cream balls...the one that you're supposed to toss to people to make ice cream. Add ice cream to that cake or maybe root beer floats" he was rambling to try to avoid being awkward.

He gave a small smile and went to set up for cake making. He felt like Zoe was an awesome person...strong in the personality department...but he needed people around him who could smack him out of situations like the one he was in. That and right now...he really wanted to focus on having a semi good day of cake and ice cream making. "Need a taste tester...want to volunteer?"

Now what would be the most entertaining way to go about it

Just have the horse scream and have Tiras calm it

Have the horse break out of the stables and head toward the tent and have Tiras stop it just in time...which might lead to him trying to help them out

Or have the horse break out and scare his falcon with Tiras stopping the horse then the falcon swoops on into the tent and flaps all over the place

Cal listened and nodded. "That....that was actually really comforting" he gave a small chuckle at the part about avoiding Enyo for now then smiled at the end of her comforting and nodded again. "Thank you" He ran a hand through his hair and inhaled. "I definitly needed that...." he looked at the doorway for a second before looking away and motioning at Zoe to follow him. "I'm making cake....want some?" comfort food and birthday food all wrapped in frosting and sprinkles. "I don't know what flavor I'll make...hmm"
