Why are you playing SAO?:It gives her the ability to see. Never before has she ever been able to experience her sense of sight, and this allows her to. When she joins SAO and becomes trapped in it, she doesn't care, she is to busy with the sights and colors.
Life prior to SAO:She was born blind, and even though many considered that a handicap, she embraced it and thrived. When she was little, several people made fun of her, and for that she didn't want to learn to talk. She understood everything being said, but didn't try saying anything, and was declared a mute by her psychologist. She never grew close to her parents, she couldn't communicate with them. Her brother was the only one who accepted her for who she was. Others gave up on her, saying that she was dumb just because she couldn't talk. Jace knew better and understood that she was smart, and understood what he was saying. He guided her hands and taught her sign language, so that she could better fit in, be able to talk to others.
Life since playing SAO: She pays more attention to the scenery than the other players. She is excited to be able to see her brother for the first time, as well as her own reflection. She stays close to her brother, knowing that he will try to help her as much as possible.
