Prof Oak wished Liam and Shiranui luck and then left to return to his lab in Pallet Town. "Should we get going on to Ecurteak?" Liam inquired.
Liam had his Rotom Phone register him for the World Coronation Series and placed him in the Normal Class since he hadn't entered before.
"How would you register for it?" Liam asked.
"Might be cool," Liam agreed. "But I feel like region hopping would be nice in doing that though."
"Pokémon World Coronation Series?" Liam asked aloud in confusion. His Rotomphone floated up and explained that it was a tournament held with trainers from every region. Every trainer is organized into one of four ranks: Normal, Great, Ultra, and Master class, with each group holding fewer people than the one below it, for instance, Master only has eight members whose members include among them: Former Johto Champion Lance, and Galar's undefeated champion Leon.

"I hear that the two of you are off to Galar, so I decided to bring you both a gift," Oak said as he produced a pair of deactivated cell phones. "These latest model Pokédexes include information on pokémon that were discovered in the Galar Region." Oak went on to explain that these Pokédexes are powered by Rotoms. Liam however had opted to update his older pokédex in place of getting a RotomDex. Oak explained that he had caught an extra Rotom on the way here that Liam could have for his Pokédex. Oak sent out that Rotom which possessed Liam's SIM card and swapped to the new phone and copied all of the info Liam's phone into the new one. It floated up and took a photo of Liam and began to process the set-up.
