Also all sheets will be reviewed in due course so don’t panic if we don’t respond right away. Please take that time to eat, drink, be merry and discuss the open road.
If your character will be joining us at a later stage, i.e they won’t be from LA then please use the below character template! It’s more or less the same as the other but with some minor tweaks.

Also, as most destinations will remain a surprise to you all, of you do want an OOS character then I will PM you with our next destination and you can decide from there if that’s where you’d like to start or we can come up with a reason for your character to be there. OOS characters do not have to be high school age but be sensible, no 80 year olds...unless they’re badass.

@BleedingLoverWon’t be necessary at this point, just work on your idea and we’ll cross the gender gap bridge when we come to it. There are plans in place if we need them
And the mythical co GM finally makes his long awaited appearance! So happy to see all this interest.

@BleedingLoverStill accepting, as @TootsiePop said, this isn’t first come first serve. We judge on the character sheets and ideas of you guys!

@StaniflyAs above

Conrad Wu

Location: The Playground - Meeting Room

”This is Fury’s cat? Well he must really trust this outfit then” Conrad has only ever met Director Fury two times. One, when he came to see someone at the Operations Academy and Wu just so happened to be in the room and the second; well the second was somewhat a little more recent, it was just before they put Conrad deep into Hydra. Fury was on hand to evaluate the agents credentials maybe? Or to see if he thought that Conrad would flip whilst undercover. The gist of the conversation was pretty much do as your told and you won’t die. Nick Fury, motivation speaker extraordinaire!

”I think my quarters would be a good start, drop off my stuff and then I can meet the rest of the team” Nothing more important than a first impression and Wu knew with this group he had to make a damn good one. As the trio of Conrad, Tinley and Goose prepared to make a move, they were joined by fourth person. ”....shirtless problem…. he thought to himself, what kind of place was this? The man introduced himself as Agent McCormick. This place was all very formal. ”Agent Wu. It’s a pleasure”

”I’m all for getting settled so yeah, lead the way” Conrad has been awake now for maybe thirty six to forty hours. As soon as his previous assignment ended, the plan was to go home and recuperate before the next job but the top brass had other ideas and he was relocated to the Playground team in quick fashion. There was very little breathing room given for a quick bit of downtime so going to his new bunk, putting on some relaxing sounds and having himself a little power nap was currently his idea of heaven.

As he thought of heaven, Wu’s idea of hell suddenly popped up in the room; a cat. He backed away slightly in his chair, he was not the greatest cat lover in the world, he much preferred dogs. They were friendlier, at least in his mind and far more interesting. Plus he has pretty much convinced himself he was allergic to the felines….he wasn’t but he liked to pretend so he didn’t have to be around them.

”What a cute little thing” He said through gritted teeth.

Conrad followed the blonde bombshell into what looked very obviously like a meeting room and when prompted, took a seat opposite the field leader. ”I’ll be the first admit, SHIELD wasn’t my first choice” Wu began. ”Like everybody I cycled through a lot of dream jobs when I was a kid. The only constant really was whatever I chose, I wanted to help people in some way; be that just making them laugh or smile or putting my body on the line to protect them. Hence as I’m sure my file says I signed up with the police when I left college”

He looked around the room for a quick second before continuing. ”I spent a lot of time in deep cover. It was tough, I watched be did a lot of things that were a real struggle to deal with. After a while, I realised that although I was doing some good, for every gang I brought down, two took its place. It burned me out and I was ready to walk but someone must’ve got a hold of my file as I was approached by a recruiter. The opportunity to try my hand at the big leagues, I couldn’t pass it up”

His time in the service had done well to train Conrad for the Operations Academy yet the tech and resources available still took him by surprise sometimes. It was a lot more than the people back at the Met could even fathom. His favourite of course was the nano mask. It had quickly become his signature device for missions; his knack for impersonation and fly by thinking was definitely an asset. ”After the academy I spent a good chunk of time in wet work before going back undercover again. I got the call to come here just after I was pulled out of my last assignment”

”Pleasure to meet you, Agent Abercrombie”

Conrad took the blonde woman’s hand and shook it firmly. Field Leader? That was a turn up for the books. She seemed very young for that role but he was one to rarely question the decisions of his higher ups unless absolutely necessary so she must be damn skilled to get to where she was that’s for sure. This was an elite unit, the best of the best no doubt. He was looking forward to meeting everyone else and seeing what they brought to the table.

After giving Tinley the once over, Conrad had many questions but he knew one thing for sure, he still hates the S.H.I.E.L.D uniform. Even on some as beautiful as she was, it was still garish and not up to his high fashion standards. ”Only question is do I really have to wear that uniform?” a rhetorical and humorous question of course yet one that he wished would be answered with a resounding no.

Wu began to follow his fellow Agent deeper into the Playground; it was a marvel. He had been in some very big tech places over the past few years and in some very low tech ones as well but the Playground was something special. ”It strikes me that you probably run a very tight ship here. I’m not here to rock the boat, just to help out and do my part. What do I need to know?”

“The New Guy”

This certainly wouldn’t be the first time that Conrad Wu would be one of those. He has spent most of his childhood being the new boy. Hell he even made his bones in the police as the new blood in whatever gang he had been tasked with infiltrating. No this certainly wouldn’t be the first time for him but this time may certainly be the most pivotal.

He had heard whispers and rumours about the Barton unit from his compatriots at S.H.I.E.L.D. The members of this team were the truest of the true; the very essence of what it meant to be an agent of SHIELD. Everyone brought something to the team that would be useful in their fight for justice. Conrad was unsure why he himself had been recruited. He was a fair operational hand sure but his talent was in the long game, infiltration and intelligence. Hell he has spent the last few months in deep cover and was looking forward to a bit of rest before he got the call to report immediately to the Playground. He couldn’t lie, the place was nothing like he expected. Well, if he was perfectly honest Conrad actually didn’t know what he expected. If the organisation was struggling for funding, this place certainly didn’t show it.

The plan was never to save the world. It just so happened that all of Conrad’s talents and passions made it the easiest thing for him to turn his focus towards. If his parents had had their way, Agent Wu would be knee deep in history books teaching at some stuffy school like Eton or Oxford. That would never have been enough for him, Conrad craved more than that, much more. He craved adventure, fun, danger and everything in between. The world was a stage and he wanted to have a major part in that production; that was just something he couldn’t do sitting behind a desk.

Conrad was so entranced by his new surrounds that the velvety tones of Phil Collins - You Can’t Hurry Love playing in his earbuds was nothing short of background noise. ”Honey, I’m home” He muttered to himself as a pearly white grin crossed his handsome face. He did not know what the future held for him as part of this group, would he be accepted? Would he be liked? Would he die his first go round with these guys and prove to the world that all he’s good for his a smile and a lie? He didn’t know but he couldn’t wait to find out.
