Synopsis

I like telling engaging stories with cool people :)

Collaboration and teamwork are very important to me when telling a story- I could write any genre as long as the group dynamic is healthy.

If you're chill and understand grammar we'll probably get along!

RPs I'm In

Language is the tool I use to connect myself to the world around me and to the people that I care for.

@Bourgeoisie My 70ish year old friend, who is also a war vet and has worked in construction, has also never once complained about his "old bones". He's actually quite spry. I am just being realistic here, but seeing as how you likely will not concede, we could always say suspension of disbelief in an anime themed roleplay allows this.
@Cinderella Man That is true enough, but my brother is just six years younger than Dwight, a war veteran, and doesn't seem to have trouble with that sort of thing. Boot camp, the training that follows, and war itself is certainly more taxing than construction.
It would be interesting to see a roleplay in which the players really are weak and nearly defenseless against the monsters. I think numerous and varied monsters with characteristics ranging from the deadly intelligence of the xenomorphs all the way to the sheer power and size of the titans roaming a world populated by sparse human survivors trying to last another day in any way they can would be interesting.

Perhaps two to three known species of creatures with various sub-species could be implemented to prevent things from getting stale with the same enemies, but also controlled so new monsters don't just get created left and right.

I like the idea of a futuristic world brought to ruin in some way or another, so advanced technology is present but not always common or in working condition. Seeing people play as cyborgs, androids, or straight up robots alongside regular humans would please me personally.

The players could have their own personal drives and goals, while a good overarching mission could be to find a sort of "kill switch" for the creatures, a working vessel that can carry them away from the planet, or perhaps a city/location that is fabled to be impenetrable against the monsters.

Having it written that "the end" arrived around twenty years before the role play starts would be a good idea, I think. Characters with multiple perspectives would be present, with some having been born into this world, while others would either have been very young when it happened or perhaps have had their own lives going for them before it was all ruined.

A good system for worldbuilding would be to allow people to write (within parameters you set of course) their own locations, technology, people, and cultures into their backstories, giving you a plethora of lore and content to work with when managing this world for everyone.

There you go, plenty of suggestions for you. I say why ask questions when you can create the answer yourself. :)
@Marshall
@Bourgeoisie Tbh 37 really isn't that old, certainly not old enough to have someone of that age describe their bones as "old" and "tired".

So I'm trying to garner a good understanding of the current events, let me know if what I have is incorrect.

1. Deon unleashed some sort of virus that is royally fucking all of the humans in the nearby area.

2. Hank is dying, her daughter is trying to revive him.

3. Some of Kurai's characters are trying to save Mithias, Lucan shows up desperate to be turned. I think Bedivere is here too?

To sum it up, there's a big confrontation going on between most of the major characters at Deon's hideout. Is this correct?

@Wraithblade6
It's probably going to be a while before I post here though, I want to make sure I can keep up with everyone else before you all end up waiting on me again.
@Kurai Assassin
I already sent them an apology privately, explaining my situation as well.

For the record though:

Wraith, Grey, and all of the players here at Blood Compact,

I am sorry for my behavior.

@Thundercrash I've suffered greatly in the past in roleplays by not being involved enough with other players, so I tried to get myself close to the action without disrupting anything.
Alright, I posted. I hope I didn't misinterpret anyone else's posts. I was sort of uncertain at times. If anyone finds an issue, let me know. (I worked on that post right before posting this, it's 2:43 AM, so if I managed to miss a typo in my beleaguered state, please let me know so I can fix it. I think I got them all though.)
Marcus Lupeworth

Marcus, entirely naked, leaned against his kitchen counter casually, sipping a cup of coffee absolutely loaded with sugar and creamer, and why wouldn’t he? He was entirely alone in his apartment, save for Scarlet of course, his weavile. Life was pretty good actually. It was going to be an easy day. Just run to the store and stock up on moo moo milk. He always got a bit of a weird feeling when he drank that stuff, but hey - It’s delicious. So who cares? And of course! Today was the reopening of the Radio Tower! And also his first day on the job…

Shit.

Twenty minutes later and he’s ready for war. Or, well, work. Aha! Just one last thing to accomplish. Marcus raced to the bathroom, brushing his teeth for the third time that morning. He smiled into the mirror - Immaculate as always. After spending a few minutes making weird faces into the mirror, Marcus practiced his smile just one last time. “Fuck that bullshit about eyes. Teeth are the window to the soul.” He blinked at himself. “In that case… my soul must be pure as a damn angel.”

And so, Marcus began to march out of his apartment, snagging a handful of hard caramels from the bowl on the kitchen table on his way, and popping one into his mouth. The rest always went into his pocket for later, and the bowl always stayed stocked. Scarlet stayed close behind her master, never trailing too far behind him. He keeps her safe.

A short walk later, and there he was. Marcus took in the sight of the majestic Goldenrod Radio Tower with pleasure. “Scarlet… I’m nervous as all hell right now. With that being said… Let’s go!” The pair marched their way into the tower, got into an elevator, got off on a random floor - Marcus had a good feeling about it - and promptly got themselves lost wandering the halls. “Okay Scarlet, new plan. Let’s look for somebody.” The pair once again marched their way around the tower, eventually finding a sole recording booth that seemed to have garnered considerable attention from a few individuals. Popping another caramel into his mouth, Marcus approached the group. Sadly, Plan B seemed to be doomed to failure as well. The group was already engaged in some sort of conversation. Well, might as well make the most of this time. Marcus studied each individual carefully. There seemed to be a fairly attractive woman with a thing for red, an angry looking guy in a trench coat, another woman leaning over a mic, and some guy that seemed really tired out. Marcus smiled genuinely. At least they seemed interesting.
