Bio

Absolute clown. Dark and gritty superhero fan fiction guaranteed or your money back.

... Guess I should fill this out with something about myself.

I'm Uni, an aspiring musician and current fast food slave in his early 20s. I used to roleplay a lot as a teenager but fell out of the habit and now I'm trying to get back into it. I'm a sucker for comic book roleplays but I'm down for pretty much anything usually. My favorite genre is sci-fi but I fuck with fantasy, horror, slice of life... Like I said, pretty much anything.

Feel free to hit me up if you want to talk or something. I'm more active on Discord where I'm known as captainunicycle.

Roy was born to a pair of forest rangers near the Spokane Indian Reservation in Washington state. The two would perish in a fire while evacuating the reservation, with the young Roy being taken in by Brave Bow, an elder of the tribe. Raised as one of their own, Roy's life within the tribe was peaceful, with him being taught from a young age how to use a bow.

One day when Roy was 12, he snuck out of the reservation in order to go steal some alcohol. He got drunk and blacked out, waking up hours later with a hangover. Returning home, he found Brave Bow dead with no clue as to who did it. Worried for his own safety, as well as the possibility the rest of the tribe would think it was him, Roy left the reservation behind and made his way to Seattle.

After a year spent living on the streets and stealing to survive, Roy's life changed for the better when he stole a wallet off of one Oliver Queen. This stolen wallet led to Oliver taking Roy in as his foster son and Roy becoming Speedy, Green Arrow's sidekick. The two fought side by side together and strengthened their bond as mentor and protege.

However, this bond was put to the test when Roy was 18 and Oliver found out that he had been drinking almost everyday on top of abusing painkillers. Oliver kicked Roy out, and the young man found himself on the streets again. Though Oliver would eventually come back to try and take Roy in again, he refused, deciding to forge his own path. Kicking the habits he had acquired was hard, but he knew he could do it, and he knew he could live on his own without Oliver being in the picture.

That was how the young man became Arsenal. A year after his falling out with Oliver, he's looking to join this new team of supeheroes to prove to himself that he can be a part of something greater.

I'm interested in playing Roy because I've found him to be an interesting character, and his addictions provide great character drama - something to challenge him that isn't just the latest supervillain. I decided not to delve into his affair with Cheshire and the resulting daughter Lian (at least not in his backstory) because I'd like to focus on a younger Roy who's still learning the ropes.

As far as storylines go, I don't have any concrete arcs in mind, more just ongoing subplots. I'd like to see Roy still adapting to sober living, occasionally relapsing even. Running into Green Arrow would be fun and would allow Roy to show Oliver how far he's come, probably in a "in your face old man!" kinda way. The aforementioned Cheshire could be a plot as well, set up Roy's fatherhood and all that. Other than that, I'm just here to have fun and interact with other players.

Kit had been wandering around rather aimlessly after losing track of the dog, still looking for her yet feeling hopelessly lost all the same. He kept shouting out "Wolf? Where'd you go?" or some variation of the phrase, each time feeling like he had just alerted all the creatures of the manor to his exact location. Even still, nothing came, which didn't really make him feel better.

Kit opened a door and emerged out into a courtyard, a quaint little place that felt a lot safer than the halls he had just been in. He scanned the area, looking for anything of use, and found the behemoth detective had just noticed him as well. “Oh, it’s you!” Band said, sighing in relief. “There y’are, I been lookin’ all over. Where’s the wolf?”

"She ran off ahead without me. I'm just hoping she's found the Icebreaker, wherever he is," Kit replied.

The detective seemed a bit sullen at that, Kit feeling about the same. The detective piped up, “Well, we got each other at least. Better stick together.” This mansion was a labyrinth of peril, death at every turn. Band was right; they'd have to stick together this time. After a short discussion the pair decided to head back the way that Kit had came and take another path.

It wasn't long before they found the web of a giant spider who snatched up a zombie that had made its way into the spider's web, first being paralyzed by the bite before being wrapped up into a cocoon of silk. Kit felt disgusted as he witnessed the process, unsure if he wanted to continue on. Band spoke up and offered to help him out with the spider or just break down the wall back in the courtyard. Kit pondered for a moment, before deciding to brave the spider. "Stay on guard. I'll confront the spider."

Kit marched forward, shield up and sword at the ready. As he stepped in front of the web, the spider slowly lowered itself down on a string, dropping down right in front of the knight. Kit slashed his sword at the creature, the spider backstepping and raising itself on its hind legs. It swung its legs at the knight, whose head was snapped sideways by the hit. Grunting, Kit swung his sword at the spider again, managing to slash off one of its legs.

The spider hissed, before leaping right at Kit and sinking its fangs into his chest. The knight shouted in pain, bringing a fist into the spider's head over and over to get it off of him, but it kept its grip on him all the same. Kit felt his joints locking up, still struggling with all his might to get the spider off of him. That was when Big Band jumped right in, throwing a massive fist into the spider which knocked it off of Kit and back several feet.

The knight stuck his sword into the wooden floor and grabbed the Estus Flask from his belt, taking a chug of it to help deal with the pain. He felt refreshed, if still a bit stiff, and grabbed his sword to continue the fight. The spider, seeming enraged, leaped forward again only for its fangs to meet Kit's shield. He bashed the spider with the shield, knocking it back, before going in with a swing and a yell. The sword cleaved through the spider's brain, killing it. The creature curled up on its back before imploding on itself and popping up as a spirit. Kit grabbed it and pocketed it, before turning back to Big Band.

"I don't think I would've survived were it not for you. You have my thanks. My sword shall be yours for as long as you have use of me."

Call me Speedy the way I get this shit done quick. Not much of a reimagining, stuck pretty close to canon.

Might as well give a little teaser of what I'm cooking up.

Quick question: what's the max age range you're looking for? I assume 19 is the cut off point but just asking to be sure.
Sure, why not.

Kit nodded at the others as they introduced themselves, smiling behind his helmet. "It's good to meet you all. I'm hoping that together we can purge this manor of whatever evil resides here." While Band and Stein talked, Kit looked around the foyer, examining the bookshelves and wondering just what was beyond all those doors. He was in the middle of pulling a book out of the shelf when he heard Harry scream. Instinctively, Kit dropped the book and unsheathed his sword and shield, immediately gunning for the monster - only for him to realize that the monster was invisible and currently carrying Harry away at lightning speeds.

Immediately, Kit began to sprint after the captured detective, being led by the white wolf who seemed to be trying to smell her way after the monster. Band followed up behind, much slower than the man and the wolf, but the group still stayed close enough together. As they passed through various rooms that seemed to be stitched together haphazardly with no sense for actual livability, Kit kept his grip on his sword tight, ready to take on whatever monsters might come at them.

Soon enough, the trio found themselves in a room with a large pit and a single wooden plank to cross it. The pit was pitch black, almost seeming to swallow the light in the room. Band had to find another way across because he knew he wouldn't be able to cross the plank. Amaterasu crossed it with ease, while Kit had to carefully balance himself as he walked across. Not long after, the knight and the wolf found themselves in a kitchen. Kit had kept his sword and shield sheathed after crossing the pit, a mistake he would soon regret as a big frog with a pair of kitchen knives jumped up and over the counter, coming right at him! The wolf managed to leap past the frog onto the counter, dashing through the door on the opposite side of the kitchen. Kit wasn't so lucky. He tried to backstep out of the way but the frog hit him dead center, the knight grunting in pain as the frog carved into him. He managed to push the frog off of him, but he was definitely feeling the wound.

Kit pulled his sword and shield off his back and kept the shield in front of him, squaring up with the frog. He swung at the creature once, twice, three times, managing to land hits on it. It didn't look like it was ready to go down yet however. It brandished its cleavers with a creepy grin, then leapt at Kit, spinning wildly with its knives. This time, however, Kit was ready. He bashed his shield forward just as the frog was about to connect with it, parrying the attack and leaving the frog open for a fatal blow. Kit plunged his blade right through its face and the frog imploded in on itself, leaving behind a spirit. Kit looked at it with curiosity, picking it up and examining it. "Hm. This looks like it's worth something," he said to himself before pocketing the spirit.

Still wincing in pain at the attack the frog had gotten off on him, Kit grabbed the estus flask off his belt and took a drink from it, the flame within the flask healing his wounds. He went through the door that the wolf had gone through, calling after her: "You okay there, wolf? You didn't get hurt, did you?"

Sorry about the wait, was hit with some writer's block. Short post but maybe could lead into a collab or something.

I barely register that the woman says something about a Moon Knight costume, but it's odd enough to stick with me as I continue to beat on the thugs. Fighting is second nature to me. The rest of the world fades into the background. There's just me and the unfortunate bastards that I'm taking down. I bat away a rifle barrel with one baton while bringing the other up into the crook's chin, snapping his head back and allowing me to deliver a kick to his chest that sends him stumbling onto his ass.

That should be the last of them.

"No way, my old roommate used to love those films."

I look back to the woman who's standing in front of the truck and examining the Oscorp logo on it. She mentioned a Moon Knight costume earlier, as if there would be costumes of me after some of my... Less than pleasant episodes. And now she's talking about movies? All I can muster up in response to her is: "... What? What are you talking about?"
