Heya @fury panda, please could you find a non-anime picture for Dr Mia? I should have put that in the rules but in my mind, the characters either need to be all anime or all not. Sorry i should have told everyone sooner.

Hey, I'm Catharyn! I joined the Roleplayer Guild on 2nd Feb 2011, then rejoined on the 17th Jan 2014 after Guildfall.
I was active every day until late 2015, accruing (i think) around 7k posts across dozens of roleplays. Then, I started working and had to gradually slow down my RP schedule. In 2017, I officially went on hiatus when other commitments got fully in the way of roleplaying.
This continued until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, when I suddenly realised I had a lot more free time in lockdown! So in mid-2020, I returned to the Guild with a vengeance. I also managed to get The Cradle 1x1 off the ground - a story i've had percolating for almost a decade.
My posting schedule has slowed down a bit now that the world has opened up again. I still love science fiction, fantasy and espionage themes, and generally aim for around 300 words per post.

I'm back from work and am starting on my 2nd IC post now! Anybody have any questions or concerns so far?
Additionally, @conscripts you may want to collab with @themadasshatter on the end of your last IC post. By that i mean he can contribute his side of the conversation via PM so you can grant him permission to land all in one post rather than leave him with only one line of dialogue to work with. Sound good guys?

Had to do a massive edit of my post since I totally forgot Vokeera was genderless and was using female pronouns out of force of habit... It's going to be a challenge writhing my posts while avoiding the gender specific pronouns

Good post nonetheless! Every one I've read so far has been sensational so massive well done people; i can't wait to start my next IC post this lunchtime. I'm back. Sooo knackered so will check new posts and get an IC post of mine up tomorrow!

Morning all Just to let you guys know, i'm around a bit today but my next IC post will be Monday evening as i'm now preoccupied all weekend. @Ozymandias will continue to ensure things move along smoothly, so my advice for your opening post would be to not engage Director Ogilvie, Clara Lascelles or 0984-Thebes in direct conversation unless you're happy waiting til Monday for a response.
@TheMadAsshatter All ships that were intended for interstellar flight have FTL drives. The technology is relatively widespread. Before the war there was a power grid kind of like a network of gates which increased the range/speed of ships in FTL but as you cab imagine many parts of it were destroyed or brought offline. Navy planes and other fighters must be stowed inside a FTL capable ship to jump between points. This is because the FTL drives are still to be used in the smalest craft.
@Thecrash20 Its an interesting character, however i am concerned by two things. Firstly, that he's overpowered. Could you please give us a bit more detail on how three operatives managed to kill off an entire species? Secondly, as he's so well optimized for combat i'm worried that when there's a lull in the fighting you'll struggle to fit into flow of the roleplay with a character like that :) I'm not saying there isn't room for augmented killers at all, its just i don't want you to be bored when there isn't any fighting going on if that makes sense?

Yeah i did notice he's a little easy on the eyes. Too bad his physical appearance is just a projection and not actually real

Its looking good but could we please have a little more detail on his family and early life on Gauss Prime? We know that Zek learned medicine there, but nothing else. Apart from that he is acceptable
