Used in Seres' right hand and sheathed in a black sheath behind his waist, the black knife has a full tang which is wrapped in slightly softened leather strips and has a small black iron cap at the end of the hilt and a black iron guard about 4 inches from the pommel.

Wroughtwilder Throwing Weapons
An unique combnation of a throwing star and a throwing axe, the WTW looks like a normal, black, four-pointed throwing star but one point has been pull out, giving it a distinctive cross shape. There is an edge towards the bottom of the handle. Several holes have been drilled into it, giving it superb balance but it moves slower in the air compared to normal throwing knives. 5 of them are stored in a sling pouch located on Seres' left hip.
Overall lenght: 27 cm (10.6 in)

Fog Pellets
They're glorified smoke bombs that Seres' can hold two at a time in his hand. They have a pretty good duration and density and also go off with a loud "bang" when thrown against the ground. What else is there to say?

Bracers (Left): Thick crimson forearm protector, can be used as a sort of buckler, extends over fist a little.
Bracers (Right): White steel forearm protection, cotton padding underneath

Chest Piece: White steel upper chest protector w/ black gambeson underneath and neck protector
Leggings: Black boiled leather pants.
Greaves: White shin guards w/ red line decoration & white padded leather knee guards

Background:

Once a small time thief, Seres got a name not for how stealthily he stole items, but how fast he ran and hid from authorities. As his fame grew, so did the value of his "treasures". Of course, as luck would have it, he would eventually be jailed after an attempt to steal a brooch of the crown prince. He thought his execution would be inevitable but the prince was so impressed by his effort and his skills, he bailed out the thief but in return he would have to work as a scout in his army.

Once in his army, Seres quickly rose through the ranks of scouts and informers, often predicting ambushes and traps on the path. However, the army was ambushed outside a town they were camping and in a sudden deadly suprise attack, rebels killed both the prince and most of his army.

Now, with no where to go and a belly to feed, he become a mercenaries, protecting nobles and royals. Most time it was easy work and good pay but he has kept his skills sharp just in case. And now with his newest contract, he'll have to put all of his skills to work.

Tian Shi

Name: Tian Shi
Gender: Female
Age: 7-17: 16
Nationality: Chinese
Current location in the world: San Francisco, California
Appearance: Tian Shi is a stereotypical Chinese beauty. She has long, straight hair that is as black as a starless night sky. Her small, yet full lips are a brilliant red. Her eyes are a lovely almond shape, and its brown color may seem plain from a distance but as soon as you look into them... you can't help but be hypnotized. (Foreshadowing!)
Location and notes on star mark: A very, very tiny four point star can be seen if one looks very, very carefully in her left eye. But no one ever really gets the chance to notice it.
Star power: Mind Control: Tian Shi has the ability to charm poor victims into following her command if they look her in the eyes. Of course there are some limitations on what she can get them to do and she can only use it one time per person.
Corrupted or Uncorrupted: Uncorrupted
Personality: Tian Shi may be beautiful, but her personality is rotten. She is manipulative and cruel. She puts on an innocent face and feigns kindness while her true motives are selfish and she only thinks about her own personal gains. She is also coy and flirty, often using her beauty to get men to do her bidding without the use of her power.
Biography: Unsure of when her birthday is, who her parents are, and where she is from, Tian Shi was born without a name or a home. She grew up in a little, run-down orphanage and was given the name "Wei". The children there rarely had enough to eat so they spent most of their time, instead of playing, going out into the streets to beg for food. "Wei" noticed something weird during the time she spent begging. Whenever she looked a stranger in the eye and asked them to give her money or food, they did so without any complaint. All the other children were jealous and didn't understand why she was so successful in begging while most of them were ignored or beaten. Eventually, she decided to leave the orphanage when she was thirteen years old, and used her powers to join the world of the Underground. She easily slipped her way in, getting into trouble with some of the worst people in China and doing a lot of dirty jobs. She had also given herself a new name: "Tian Shi". While she was content with her criminal life style, she, like everyone else in China, became familiar with Quinglong. It was strange, but she was drawn to him by his charisma and passion and became one of his followers despite her past. When he found out about her Starred power, he promoted her to a higher position and was given the code name: Snake.
Other:
While she does find Qinglong attractive there are many reasons why she wouldn't go for it.
1. She doesn't just 'settle down'.
2. That would compromise their work relationship.
3. She respects him too much for that.

She never stays in one place for too long and she does not have a permanent home because she does not ever want to be found.

She keeps poisoned throwing knives on her but her main weapon is a whip. She takes pride in the fact that she rarely has to use weapons though.

A Knife in the Dark (Ebonfort)

There was a cold nip in the twilight air, it must be another season going pass. Yet another months flying past the dark brown eyes of Galawynd Elsinal. One more mark to notch in his adventures of roaming the city of Ruby Banks. There was a certain sadness in seeing another season wasted but the White Elf had other things to worry about. Namely a certain little heist he had been planning.

For the past few days, he had been poking around a certain noble's house. He spent many a late night peering into the houses's windows, tracking his movements and watching his routine. And tonight, he would be out on one of his many nightly excursion, likely to a tavern or a party that the damn wealthy threw on a daily basis it seemed. But, while the noble was out, getting drunk off his ass, the little White Elf would pay him a visit and cure his alcoholism by stealing his wealth. It was like a community service, helping an addict out deemed some form of payment ore reward in Galawynd's mind.

Leaping down from a chimney, the elf dashed across roof tops to balcony to roof tops again, dodging open windows with light and smoking chimneys. A few short short minutes later, Galawynd's back was pressed against the steep roof of the house and peered over into the window. Mysteriously, it was still lit and there was the scent of food cooking over an open fire. Perhaps the noble had hired a maid recently and wanted food when he returned?

It would be of no matter, there was a dagger waiting for her should she make some bad life decisions. Slowly opening the window, he crept into the darkened room; long, silent strides took the elf to the door that should lead him into the hallway. However, all he got was a face full of wall.

The bump seemed to bring the world into light as his eyes started to adjust to the room, revealing a horrific mistake. This house was no residence of a noble or even someone remotely wealthy, plants grew all over and even out windows. Hoping the woman in the room wouldn't notice his presence, he pressed against the dark wall. When he thought he saw the women move, he immediately sprawled onto that shadows on the floor, praying to whatever deity or god was still available at this hour.

The hairs stood on the back of his neck, he had a feeling tonight would be a long night. Hopefully it won't be in the town dungeon, gods knew that rat hole lacked anything better than a rock bed.
