What you all haven't realized is that the PRK has a pretty varied population, and this can work to their benefit now. Both Tinites and elves. The obvious answer is to send some elves on what amounts to a suicide mission in Tin's island. Give them mitril weaponry and Tin will have no reason to not jump to the conclusion that they were elven assassins/scouts/whatever sent from the narby Yllendthyr bases.

Similarly, send Tinites to the elven islands. Because Tinites look kind of like other humans, give them KalMean guns like Tinites might use, and maybe even Dragon pendants or the iconic facemasks of the Temple Guard.

That would sow a lot more chaos and be far more likely to lead to a war, if that is what we want to do. Of course, the elves and the Tinites must be caught, but they must also be quickly killed so that they can't be tortured to discern their actual nationality and motives.

Since the government is still in interregnum what with the new Sultan just coming to power, the regional authorities will handle it. Basically they will just launch an investigation, torture a few people, and threaten to order a decimation if more bombings/attacks follow.

When they get word that almost the exact same thing happened on the elves' side they will be really suspicious, but they probably won't try to legitimitize what they see as an unlawful colony on their lands by cooperating with the elves.

Off the top of my head I want to say that my record is around 22,000. I might break it this time.

Of course I don't usually make behemoth posts like this, I just have a lot that I need to cover.

I'm making progress on my first post...slowly but surely...

I've been away from home for the past four days and until I get back on Sunday I have to type everything on a phone or iPad. I always spend a really long time trying to make a good opening post, and typing like this only exacerbates the difficulty.

Anyways, I'm going to try to have it up today. Ambitious goal, but it will give me motivation to finish.

Yeah, if you read my section on population it briefly mentions there being "a few million in the Zanjir Islands" so I'd say that 20-30 million in just your part is a bit...unprecedented. But to be fair these islands are rather big, and your elves probably haven't been committing massacres/supressing revolts as much as Tin, so you wouldn't have killed nearly as many of the natives.

In any case, it doesn't matter. A large amount of those natives aren't considered citizens (or people) by the Sultanate and therefore were not in my population count. Just my way of hitting two birds in one stone: staying vague so I don't have to figure out exactly how many people there are, and showing just how much it sucks to be under occupation by Tin.

As in for occupation, given the islands' isolation I had imagined the natives to be really primitive. Think the Maori native to New Zealand. They never had seen or used guns until they fought Tin's missionaries and colonists and stole some civilian-class firearms.

Yeah, as the second person to draw my nation on the map and set a population I didn't really have much to draw comparisons with. I thought Ventium was going to be fairly big, but that's clearly not the case.

What do you think sounds reasonable? 200 million? Maybe even 250 million, double what I have now?

I've finished my history with Ventium and Dong Wei and will add them to my sheet shortly, leaving the PRK as the only nation on the continent that I don't have some history with. @Mihndar do you want to write a little history just for fun? How about Tinite pirates occasionally sailing up north to cause hell in the coastal lands of the old imperium, kind of like they did with Yamatai? It would explain why we are 'historical rivals'.

I'll introduce and describe important characters IC and just list them on that section of my sheet as I go on. As in for the military section, there's info on all my infantry as well as the number of personnel. I'll eventually finish it by describing what vehicles and artillery Tin uses, as well as their navy. For now I'm going to prioritize working on my first few posts over finishing that section, though.

But remember, this isn't a nation, just a bunch of smelly natives. And they aren't technologically advanced and aren't Ajdar, so therefore they must not even be people!

I wonder what would happen if the elves discovered that it was the PRK that bombed their stuff, and if they didn't escalate the Tin conflict into a full on war.
