Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Huh. For some reason I expected more people to post in the OOC while I was gone.

The pace of the OOC banter goes from that of a snail to jet airplane. Just depends on what's happenin'

Edit: see the double ninja for proof
By the way I promise I'm not as dry as I feel I have made myself appear, just haven't had a good time to start cracking jokes and what not.

Oh no not another memelord...

I HAD HOPES FOR THIS GUY.

As far as suggestions go, you seem to have already been given solid advice. A war demigod fathered by Vestec sounds nice.

Honestly the domain (portfolio) doesn't make a good character, a cool and unique persona does. So don't worry about about it too much, those powers are just the foundation and in the grand scheme of things they aren't all thay important.
I have an issue with the 'Creatures' category in the wiki. I think 'Creatures' in the full sense is covered better by the term 'Fauna' in the 'Fauna & Flora' category. There has to be a name that better conveys the meaning of what goes under the 'Creatures' category - that is to say, 'sentient' creatures that are not exactly 'fauna'. What is a better term for 'Sentient Creatures' that is not 'Sentient Creatures'?

Yeah, the creature tag got thrown onto the djinn page and it's not the best catgorization for them either.

I think just "Sapients" is best. Sapient is more accurate than sentient in this case, and the djinn are sapient.
Speaking of the wiki, I challenge @Kho to write all those 20 WIP articles about individual Eskandars and Rukbans. ;p

I'm thinking about writing a page for the ogres next. Debating whether it should come before or after the next Ommok post.
@Cyclone I wrote the damn collab with you and heard nothing about it T-T this is the second time

Edit: we talk about everything in our pads, you tell me everything you have planned, but forego THIS VERY IMPORTANT STUFF TT-TT

Wat? The collab banter is just mutual trolling (or in the case of the current pad, Vec + Kho vs Cyclone trolling ;p)

If I say something publicly on the OOC, its importance supersedes anything in PM or on pads and so I'd expect you to pay even more attention to it >.>

pretty sure we discussed this in the PM convo too!

But in any case, who am I to argue? The implications of you saying, "nope you didn't need to spend any might on that giant stuff!" is to let me spend the 18 Might on something else. Since we did agree in PM and then announced on the OOC that if your might goes into the fate pot, you can use it.

So what's it gonna be Kho? Status quo? Me forced to go back on the IC and add some wretched Might summary mentioning this? Or do I get 18 more Might worth of stuff to do?
@Cyclone Wat? You never mentioned that at all - it's not even in the post summary

Edit: and I don't see why 1) Aihtiraq's creation requires Might at all and, 2) Why unleashing the (already existent but sealed) Winds of Change requires any Might at all

It was agreed upon in the OOC.

Edit: yeah, page 628 I mentioned that's what I was doing. Termite said some other stuff about it on 629, and then it would seem that everyone else just mounted their horses gods and gallivanted off to forget about the whole thing xd
If it wasn't clear, Aihtiraq's sudden appearance and the Winds of Magic took up the majority of that 18(?) Might in the Fate pot that Zephyrion spilled over.
The Iceborn

C) Improve Infrastructure

With the Giblinsbane launched from the docks and Yngvar taking no time in embarking upon his expedition, Dag turned his attention back to finishing the shipyard. With the help of the giblin thralls, construction was done quickly. But then the reports of giblins fleeing towards the swamplands reached Dag's ears, and suddenly he became wary of the creatures. As time went on he was beginning to see that they weren't simple beasts; their aptitude for construction and following orders proved as much. The giblins were quickly proving to be a valuable resource, but he would need to ensure that they stayed just that: a resource. They couldn't be allowed the chance to flee, and he was wary of letting them discover some of the Iceborn's secrets.

So the thralls were certainly utilized in the iron mines by their former home and in helping to transport the metal back to Dagshall, but they weren't permitted to work in the blacksmith for fear of them potentially learning how to work metal or stealing weapons. Similarly they were building the shipyard itself, and they were used to shape planks, carve oars, and sew sailcloth, but the actual assembly of the longships was to be done by human hands alone. The chieftain wanted to ensure that the giblins didn't learn the tribe's secrets of shipbuilding nor figured out how to sail.

The last thing that caught Dag's attention was the need to fortify the settlement. Dagshall was defensible in that it was on an island, but he didn't want to hedge the tribe's safety purely on them being able to stop an enemy from crossing the rivers that separated the island from the mainland. So with their abundance of lumber, he had his people start building a palisade wall around the village, starting on the side closest to the swampland. At regular intervals they would add a watchtower or a gate into the palisade wall. When that work was complete, the tribe would be secured and Dagshall would be a formidable stronghold.

Of course, Dag was especially quick to forbid the use of giblin labor upon that wall. It was too risky to let them stray so close to the edge of the settlement, especially given that they would be within sight of that swampland and might try to flee there to join with the fugitives. For now, those giblins in Dagshall were kept near the beach. The shipyard gave them enough work and from there it would be hard for them to escape.

I'm so much more efficient at this stuff than Cyclone

Cyclone? Who's he?

I have to admit that I feel like I joined this game a bit too late to really be anything more then some minor bit player at best... My choice of domain and god didn't exactly help either...

Don't get me wrong; I love this kind of Rp and the idea behind it... This is honestly the greatest thing I've ever seen! I just... feel like I showed up to the party to late to really do anything amazing...

Is that actually the main thing holding you back? I had just imagined that you were feeling overwhelmed by the amount of background story and posts.

By all means there are plenty of plots that you could get involved with (Take for instance Oradin-Thulemiz. He's a necromancer attracting literlaly all the undead in the world to the far north, that's practically screaming for Farxus' attention) but if those aren't "amazing" as you had envisioned, well...

I suppose I'd be open to the idea of you scrapping Farxus and coming up with a different character if you still want.
