Bio

Hi.

I'm an Interdiscplinary BA, searching for a job in the current market, and this site has been my introduction to role-play. I prefer medieval and/or sci-fi roleplays and am a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, RWBY, Fire Emblem Awakening, Superheroes, and Fairy Tail.

Fair enough. I'll figure what other character I'd want to play then. I'm assuming Descole is out because he was an antagonist before becoming a sort of hero in Azran Legacy? His last appearance of the series does make it open-ended what he ends up doing, though no longer with the drive for vengeance that made him a villain before. (The fact that he was willing to sacrifice his life to save the world might count for something.)

I won't push Descole though if you still consider him a villain for being a villain in most of his appearances. I'm sorry for annoying you for asking about another villain character if that's the case. I simply considered Descole more of a borderline case because of how his story ended in the Professor Layton series.

If Descole is unacceptable, I'll figure out a different character.
@Holy Soldier

Boundaries can easily be set on what he can invent. For instance, his inventions could have to be purely mechanical. He can't make a computer or any sophisticated electrical device. If there was an active sparking thing around, he could potentially attach a stick to it and make it a rudimentary shocking tool, but that would be the extent of his electrical work. The invention would also be dependent on what materials he does have on hand which then he would need to figure out how to solve the problem with it instead of the invention always being perfect for the situation. Also, he would still need time to be able to process what he has on hand, figure out what he can make, then make it.

I could also start him out with a different initial ability such as the Barrel roll, where he wraps himself around a nearby person and rolls them to safety away from immediate danger, or an intuition ability that allows him to detect that something is off or about to happen(referred to as "Layton's famous intuition"). I could make the ability to fight with improvisational weapons his starting ability if you wanted. I tried the inventing one first since it is something Layton is known for and was something to potentially help him survive against veteran fighters. The inventing could become a later, higher tier ability if you wanted.

I'm sure I can figure out new abilities for Layton as this progresses. It will be challenging at times, but Layton is one of my favorite video game protagonists. It would be worth it. Besides, one of those new abilities will be spent getting himself a sword. Also, it would be fun to see what he can do after acquiring special abilities from the other realms.
Here's my entry. Hope you enjoy. If accepted, I look forward to playing under your dming again.

OK
@Bishop

Thanks for the suggestion. I changed her to unlock more stuff later. She only starts with healing as her main ability as of now.
@Miyuki Chan

What would you recommend to balance her out? I can have her develop the teleportation later if at all. Main ability for her is the healing. I could also find other things for her to be weak in or accept more limits on her abilities if that would help.

I mainly have this idea for her to develop into a healing teleportation/illusion type with good telepathy. Telekinesis would be her main emergency power.

I could also bump her age up to 16 if that would help.
Here's what I currently have in mind. Tell me if she's over or under powered.

Edit: Made teleportation an ability she'll unlock later. Average at telepathy and photokinesis as of now.

I'm interested.
Hopefully, being sick is never fun.
Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn inwardly groaned at Beth's antics. How could the girl be so...so...eager to grovel at the Caretaker's feet? It was downright sickening. Geno's complaining had been a bit cringing, but it seems like the girl wasn't even hearing what the Caretaker was saying. Their whole purpose here was in question, only chosen because they had managed to hold onto memories, easily replaceable by any others that managed to keep some aspect of their past intact. What had happened to the ones called before? What was this Oracle going to require of them?

Then suddenly, the small group came across a bright light. Her grey eyes instinctively closed to protect her sight, but then they blinked rapidly, trying to get use to the brightness. Finally, she started to perceive the contents of the area.
