Kai

Both Kai and Cole had explored the city aimlessly in search of food and battles, hoping to test their wits in Kalos, but found themselves completely and utterly lost. It was getting dark and the night life of the city was popping. The duo had probably passed many cafes along the way, but they were completely oblivious to that fact. It wasn't until Kai saw a big crowd, with a girl riding a Rapidash out front, and hurried on over to see what the big commotion was all about.

He stood near the girl with her flaming horse and asked the question, "Is this one of those battling cafes? Because I totally want in!" The sign on top of the building said "Cafe Soleil," but it never said that it was a battling cafe. Though scanning and looking around the cafe, that's when he figured out what the crowd was all there for. People had cameras out and both teenage boys and girls were swooning over a man who was sitting at a table. He had a pretty face from what Kai could tell, but the pink was a bit much for him. But whoever he was, he was getting all the attention, not to mention he had a pretty strong looking Clefairy by his side.

"You think they're strong?" Kai said, patting his partner who had climbed onto his shoulder.

"I think we can take them!" The bear said cheerfully as he threw a fist into the air.

"That's the attitude I want!" The trainer laughed. "How about you?" Kai said, speaking to the Pokemon rider, "You think they look tough?"

"Sounds like a plan to me," Fred said, agreeing with going into town. They hadn't seen his girlfriend, so the next best thing was to look for her in town, maybe she had ended up there while he ended up in the fields. He didn't know why exactly he was there since again he hadn't played the game in so long, but his girlfriend had never even seen how the game looked like so there was a slight chance that she wouldn't have been sucked into the world with him. Nothing made sense though, she was lying next to him and if he got sucked into some kind of virtual vortex she also would have been sucked into it since again, she was right next to him, that's what he was hoping for at least.

As he was about to head into the direction that seemed most like town, it was a gut feeling of some kind, a burst of laughter caught his ears. "Brandenburg," Fred muttered, "sounds like more friends." He threw up his fists and scanned the area, hoping for another wolf to jump out rather than another flying knight who a strong right hook.
Sorry about that! Weekends are usually when I'm busy, which is odd, weekdays are my free days xD

Catching up with everything now and expect a post within the next few hours! I'm hoping for next hour!
Sorry, I'm back. Weekends are always kind of busy for me. I'm throwing up a post within the next few hours. Hopefully hour!
@Pyromania99 Good question, should have put that in from the get-go. A two post between would be just about right, so we'll go with that. *goes to edit it into the rules*
@2b3heart
No worries, we've all been there! Hopefully things settle down for you soon!
@Lady Amalthea posted, forgot to tag you but edited it in, so you probs won't get a notification.

Where? Apartment 1A
With? On the phone with Soli; @Lady Amalthea texting Tas;

"Hello?" Sam said, answering his phone.

"Sam?" The voice on the other side chimed back. "Sorry I had to ditch you right before the party, Ryan needed someone in the office for a late night shoot. I really did want to meet your friends though, I mean you talk about them all the time!"

If there was ever a moment in Sam's life that felt like an eternity, it was right now. He set the knife in his hand down onto the cutting board and brought them to his lips, running his thumb across it and his pointer finger on his chin. Sam was frozen as was the time, he had forgotten that before the night started he was bringing a date to Nat's party. He had invited her as his plus one a week ago, in hopes of getting lucky and just showing her off to his friends. She was a nice girl he worked with, someone who he had found both physically and mentally attractive. The two connected and blended pretty well, having spent many hours with her for the past few months as interns. But strangely enough being with Tas tonight at the party had made him forget about her, obviously up until this point now.

"... It's totally...fine." Sam replied, slowing having his thoughts come back to him. "Thanks for going though, I mean if it wasn't you then it would have been me in the office. So let's say I owe you one."

"You're right!" She giggled, "You do owe me! Maybe you can cook me one of those famous dinner's I've heard about? Unless they're just rumors."

"Well I can't really deprive a pretty girl of food, especially if it's a pretty girl who hasn't had my cooking yet either." The man laughed jokingly. "So, Soli Turner, would you like to have dinner sometime?"

As Soli answered Sam's dinner date proposal her voice was covered by the vibration and chime from his phone, notifying him that he had received a text. He slipped the phone to it's speaker mode and read the text, which was from Tas:
From: Doctor Hottie
Back at the party, sorry I missed you. We have a homeless man here now who looks to have eaten all the food.. Do I want to know what I missed? Anywho, I may come raid your fridge tonight. Just warning you. :P

Sam cut Soli off halfway through their conversation so he could concentrate on Tas as she was now re-entering his mind, charmingly telling her that he would call her tomorrow morning and they could go out for brunch and then plan the dinner date he owed her.

"Alright! You better call, I mean, if you don't we'll just awkwardly see each other at work!" Soli said, obnoxiously laughing like a maniac. "It's not like I'm crazy or anything..."

"Good night, Soli," Sam chuckled. Ending his conversation he went back to Tas's text and hit reply.

To: Doctor Hottie
You're lucky I can read your mind. Come over, food should be done when you get here.

Hitting the send button stared blankly at his phone screen as it brought up the rest of his text messages. The first two that appeared were that of Tas's, which was obvious as he had just finished texting her, and right under was Soli's. Noticing the amount of texts he had for each woman he chuckled. The number of texts that he shared with Tas was more than his top five most texted people combined, but Soli's number had grown a lot in the past week, as was his feelings for her now that he took a second to himself. Sam hadn't really thought much of Soli other than he wanted to sleep with her, but if he really did want to he would have done it a week ago and not after Nat's birthday party. Subconsciously his mind had played him into getting to know the girl and actually liking her. But, again, he was now making headway with Tas, and that took him forever to work up the courage.

Not more than an hour ago he was ready to profess his undying love for Tas to her, but a simple phone call from the girl he works with made him hesitate on what he was going to say once she arrived. He laughed again, which was becoming a bit strange, and went to the fridge, popping open a bottle of cheap white wine. "Cheers to me and my night."
@CloseEnough I think your idea of having him have difficulties with battling makes sense since like you said he was made for tricks and not battling! You've convinced me! Hopefully Amete can grow into a battler with everyone! You can go ahead and post Lakota into the Character Tab and join right on in the IC!
@CloseEnough Ok cool! Thanks for the clarification! :)

So there is though one thing that is bugging me and I don't really want you to change it, I just want to find a middle ground if anything. I know Amete is a Rapidash, and the love that they have would make sense into why it already involved and whatnot. But wouldn't it make more sense for the two to have known each other longer than a year before it evolved?

I mean, I know Lakota is going on the journey to become a better performer, but Amete could also be needing the journey to become a much tamer and stronger Pokemon too. So the thing is I think it would just make more sense if they met earlier in her life and not just a year ago in order to have the Rapidash fit into the timeline otherwise I think it should still be a Ponyta. But honestly that's just my opinion.

I'd like to hear what you're thinking so I can get a better picture and understanding of why the Rapidash. The reason why is because I feel like the Rapidash might be overpowered compared to a lot of the other trainers and their starters. But in all honesty, if it doesn't bother the others too bad than we can ignore this whole thing and it's fine! x)
