Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

Big ol' debate between atheists and theists (I want to say Christians, but I don't know if all the people on the theist side are) on iFunny.

Yeah, all the theists are christian, and they're up against AU. I dunno about the ones in the debates but most of AU are idiots, and since at least one debater is a literalist, it can't possibly go anywhere.

Oh, I heard that was great. By the way, Dark and I made up our differences and agreed to not argue about religion.

Or at least keep it on ifunny :3
Hehe, I'll keep civil. Pwomise.

I'm willing to not argue if he wouldn't spark it. I don't understand why Dark can't keep to himself in terms of religion, and always tries to ruin it for everyone else. Right. Be willing to accept new ideas if they work.

I have a response to this but it would start another fight so...

Was Storm's husband Dark?

Anyway, think for yourself and all that.

And then you have the whole "well, which christianity is right" even if you ignore all the other religions and their equal possibility of being true as christianity does, you've got this:

Anyway, good luck, nice life, eat your vegetables, all that jazz. Bye.

David is right, you keep using the exact same arguments even though he's already disproved those statements countless times. It's useless to argue with you. I guess I know why the sermon I watched was also about avoiding conflict, and my Bible Study on Friday was about avoiding conflict, and how mum's devotion yesterday (the one with the verse about the tongue) was about avoiding conflict.... Yup, I'm stopping right now. *poof*

*Sigh* If you consider "god is perfectly good no matter what you say" with no evidence in support of it as "proving me wrong", then you should never enter a debate for a totally different reason than you're thinking of.

Except we can't, God is superior always, and you're far too blind to recognize that he follows his own moral standards.

Except he clearly isn't. If he can't even follow his own first set commandments, then he pretty clearly isn't following his own standards. I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is "omnibenevolent" while also being omnihypocritical.

The faith spoken about in your second verse is specifically the saving faith. Faith that Jesus has saved you and that you will be going to Heaven is worthless unless you do works, also. The faith spoken about in your first verse is faith as a whole, faith that God will provide.

Ah. See now THAT was a salient point.

You are corrupt. Although at the same time, all of us are. Not really. It's a boss that ignores the code when you hit him and goes "Nope. Try again." And them uses the same attack pattern every time.

So then you should probably follow the whole "don't judge" and "don't preach" parts of the bible, huh?
And no, it's more that I'm not letting you go against your own parameters. You can't claim something that doesn't hold up.

Not in anger, but in turning away from evil. You're close enough.

Except you totally are doing it out of anger. You can claim otherwise all you want, but you know you are.

How convenient, the sermon we were watching today spoke about those exact verses. To be angry at someone in your heart is counted for as murder. One of the reasons for this is that it's like killing the person inside your heart. God takes anger very seriously.

Which is ironic for the obvious reasons. The biggest thing that has to be proved here is that god cannot be held to his own standards. If he can, then he fails miserably, in which case he is not perfectly good. You can still worship him, and still claim that perhaps Yeshua still is perfectly good, but YHVH isn't. The other option is that god cannot be held to his own standards, in which case there is no reason to follow them as he doesn't take them seriously enough to follow them himself. The whole "lead by example" thing. It also gets into the ethics of robotics. Are the creations lesser than the creator even though the creations can objectively surpass the creator at some point, or are they equals because they can achieve the same? So on and so forth.

Because our anger is imperfect. Although calling an atheist a fool not out of anger, but in accordance to scriptures is not.

And yet "You are not welcome here" isn't either? Uhuh.
And while it's semantics, I'm not an atheist, in case you forgot.
