Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

Well that's a shame, since I've done the research. But I guess that just makes me a hateful bigot. ^.^

Nah man. Misinformation <> hate.

I'm so fucking hungry right now I could eat my arm.

Too bad those definitions don't agree. XXY is considered male. Hermaphrodite can be determined. Dark, if anyone's qualified to know what they're talking about, it's Pinkie, and they disagree.

They literally all agree that sex <> gender. Gender is not fixed nor biological, and it's not like tumblrites claim it is. Dictionary says so, science says so, medicine says so, and a brief look at gender roles through cultures through history will say so as well. This is not difficult.

True, hence why I keep saying technically. Hermaphrodites do exist that are not like you claim, but are completely equal in both XX and XY. That's why it's a sex itself.
her·maph·ro·dite
hərˈmafrədīt/Submit
noun
1.
a person or animal having both male and female sex organs or other sexual characteristics, either abnormally or (in the case of some organisms) as the natural condition.
synonyms: androgyne, intersex, epicene; More
BOTANY
a plant having stamens and pistils in the same flower.
archaic
a person or thing combining opposite qualities or characteristics.
adjective
adjective: hermaphrodite
1.
of or denoting a person, animal, or plant having both male and female sex organs or other sexual characteristics.
"hermaphrodite creatures in classical sculpture"
synonyms: androgynous, intersex, hermaphroditic, hermaphroditical, epicene; More

My gods man, do FIVE MINUTES of research and you'll be smarter than 90% of americans on this subject. Hermaphrodites are considered a sex because they fucking appear in other species than just humans. The fact that humans exist that are hermaphrodites isn't even important, really.

And no, pinkie really isn't qualified to know what he's talking about with this. I can kinda see why you say so, but he's not.

Maybe, just maybe.... we're all right, and you're the wrong one.

Or perhaps the definitions, science, biology, medicine, and history are right and you're just being dumb and stubborn.

It's not that we don't grasp what you're saying, it's that we're sick of all the idiots running around screaming "I AM A HEMIDEMISEMIROMANTIC QUEER-HETEROSEXUAL AGENDER AND I DEMAND EQUALITY" when in fact they're pushing themselves into a position of inequality with all of their stupid labels. You're either male or female, how you feel about the subject is absolutely and utterly irrelevant. /thread

Male, female, or hermaphrodite. Those are the sexes, unless you count the technicality of XXY. Yeah, people are idiots who have no idea what they're talking about, but when you go around spouting stupid shit like you did two comments ago, you're in no position to call them out on it.

A synonym for gender is sex, and a synonym for sex is gender.The reason medical experts will (normally; I don't agree with you absolute in that sentence) refer to sex is becauseA) It is the medical term.B) Patients may be bozos who think their gender can be something other than their chromosomes.

syn·o·nym
ˈsinəˌnim/Submit
noun
a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase in the same language, for example shut is a synonym of close.

Note: It does not mean it is always exactly the same. Gender and Sex are similar, not the same. And duh dude, the reason sex is the scientific/medical term is because it's biological, not social. And yeah, I thought of an exception. The only time you'll hear a scientist talk about gender in their work is if they're a sociologist. :P

Gender = SexSex = GenderGender Identity =/= GenderGender Identity =/= SexUsing a gender identity that is not matched to your sex / feeling as if it isn't matched to your sex = Gender DysphoriaOkie?

Not at all.
Gender =/= gender identity.
Gender =/= sex.
Sex =/= gender.
Gender identity =/= sex.

Being non-cis =/= gender dysphoria (necessarily) It can, but it is not always the case.

Geezus apollonius christ you guys. This is not hard.

Sex = XY, XX, technically XXY and technically XY and XX/XX and XY.
Gender = the social construct of which sex should be in the role that you occupy.
Gender identity = how someone feels that their situation in regards to both sex and gender is.

Why is it so hard for people to grasp this? It's not complex.
