Although, if it makes it more believable, I can do this: Scootaloo scoots up to where Gilda is going where the remains of the elements are. Gilda gets there before her and picks up the pendant. She is about to put it on when Scootaloo gets there and calls for her to stop because it's supposed to be hers, but Gilda (being Gilda) just sneers and puts it on. Scootaloo is devastated when the element shines and Gilda is shown as the true bearer, and once Gilda defeats Discord she can gloat a bit.Repetitive plot: The way it goes down is actually quite different. Dak (what I've chosen for Daacad) will think that Gilda getting to know him was just one big lie and will throw the element at her before running off. Gilda will have to nudge him toward doing the right thing and being honest about the terrible secret his friend entrusted to him, thus saving the tribe, and she'll have to get him the element just as he tells the truth.Sera (Seraphim, what I've chosen for Udāratā) will accept the element even though nothing happens, because she wouldn't think of it as something mean. The only thing that the two of them can think of to cause Sera to have to overcome her anti-element will be getting Sera to hate Gilda and then having Sera save Gilda. Kang (Temp for Kangkai) will accept the element, but won't wear it, so Gilda and friends have to somehow find the element in his home behind his back and get him to wear it just as he gives away all his long-earned money.Smee won't accept it because he thinks that it'll be useless, since penguins don't think of accessories as useful and the only use they have for gems is for their magic. Gilda and friends have to figure out how to get it to work the same way as Smee's crystal, and they won't be able to think of something to get Smee to overcome his anti-element. That actually happens naturally, and they only figure out that the element was tuned to work like Smee's crystal just in time to get it on him as he saves the suicidal penguin.Veninde will accept it like Sera did and there won't need to be any fancy business, although Gilda will take a while to realise that it's supposed to be friendship guiding her and not magic.Commentary: Explain how a “daymare” could occur: It's basically a daydream, but it's involuntary like a nightmare. It'd strike her like a vision (because they basically visions) in the middle of the battle and change her sight to that of the scene in the dream, causing her to nearly get killed.

Long story. This morning, my brother and I put out a lot, a lot of oversized flags for independence day. The ground was hard, which made it difficult to hammer them in, and they ended up being crooked. Long story short, my mom made us do that because our dad didn't do it last night, so when he got home, Rhett and I had to pull all of them up, while our dad hammered them in, and finished in a tenth of the time it took us. I thanked my dad, and I can't tell if it was actually there or not, but it felt like he was disappointed that we couldn't get the flags straight or spaced correctly (which anyone who knows me knows that I have no sense of distance). Afterwards, I tried to talk to her about it and she turned it around at me as always. I've even tried to tell her before how I can't ever talk to her because she turns anything serious hostile towards me, and she turned around and made me the bad guy then too. I'd probably spend more time with them if I didn't feel that anything I say would be used against me.

And also, the barebones formula is beginning and end. Not Beginning, middle, and end, just Beginning and End. The to get to that end are very different in each story thread.

so dont have them get their element while in their home but on the journey at varying times like in danger for one and another just at a random point that takes some effort by the reader for them to figure out that it's fitting at that time

... That's a really good idea. Gilda would probably try to bypass the whole thing the first time by just asking what their name means. Bam, you've got your bearer. Lolnotoobad.Also I was planning on having the names deal with talents, since in the canon for this story, the name of an animal is determined by a special spell. The spell connects to the weave of fate (which, just so you know, is malleable and not set in stone, hence ) and finds the destined talent of the animal, before giving them a name related to that. The weave explains why some ponies have names completely unrelated to their talent (the weave ends up changing the end talent enough to not be related to the original name).There won't be too many minor characters, and any minor characters will likely only be stationed in one tribe/flock/herd/whateverthing. But yeah that adds a lot more depth to the whateverthings than the original idea.
