Still trying to decide whether or not I have the time available so that I can dedicate the appropriate amount of effort into this RP. Also, I still trying to figure out which Navy trait I should take. Poseidon seems like the better trait, but Ultikana seemed to have gotten an amazing roll. I had quite the navy in the version of this RP that I partook in about a year ago. And that was without any Ships of the Line either! Hmm... Also, in order to have Pikemen, do we need to take the Outdated Army trait? Also, if the answer to the last question is yes, then I assume you cannot take Professional Army with Outdated Army, correct?
@duck55223 Was reading over the nation sheets and saw the potential conflict between Lancia and Corustaria. Can't wait to see who will win: the land power or the sea power.
@UltikanaRe Your traits equal -4...your rolls are now void. Sorting out rolls takes my time and effort, which is valuable to me, so you have one chance to change your traits. Otherwise im not gunna bother myself it. Bitch over.
I think the confusion happened here:
@Gowia I would like to request a roll, but how do they work? Are modifiers taken into account? Please let me know. Also, since I have more than 8 traits, is my stability automatically lower? And wait…we start with 4 points. Just realized that. Gonna go remove landlubbers. If I have 3 points, does that help my stability? If not, I will add Multicultural and remove Ambitious generals.
He thought that he had not taken into account the starting four points, while when I was trying to help him out, he (I presume) did not notice that I did take that into consideration. Also, while we (or I) have your attention, do I need to take a certain trait for a Tercio-style army, or could I just say when I ask for rolls: "Could I have some Pikemen and Cavalry added to my army", knowing fully that such a request will reduce the number of my musket-clad soldiers?
I took the liberty to make the map more "fill in" friendly. Now no more weird borders!
I can't believe I just made that reference. *face palm*
@Dedonus They will never know! Thank you! Cookie Pm'd
Unless they look inside the hider. :o Edit: I'm interested to see how the nations with super traits roll. Cannot decide to go with Poseidon or roll with King of the Seas, like I did in the last version I partook in.
This is just a test for hiders in game. ;) ;)
Oh? I apologize. I thought you meant something else…
This is what I meant. Or this.
@Dedonus In my opinion, you could take all but the army super-trait for positives, then take 'What is Gunpowder?'. That would seem to set you up nicely.
But the Tercio formation uses gunpowder...
I have a quick question. What army trait(s) would give me a military like the Spanish Tercio? I think this style would be interesting in this rp due to the time period (1620-30's, if I recall correctly). While the Tercio (or the Pike and Shot) was on its way out in this time period, it has not yet yielded to a pure musket-armed military yet. This would give me something to "develop" in game, as I try to adapt the Tercio as war strategies change.
For the Spider-Man / Loki collab, did you use TitanPad? I've found that's probably the best easy to use collaborative writing software on the Internet.
We did it in pm's.
