That is also a problem, but I can't see a way that it'll not be a problem with any sort of respawn system. The only character I think that could possibly do that would be Tsuiho or Grian, but Tsuiho isn't the type to just randomly kill people without a reason too.

I dunno, I can think about it and see if I can come up with a solution, but I'm a bit busy at the moment.


Well there is off course a debuff of weakness when you respawn but that doesn't give mean they completely stop fighting. they can just come back at each other after the debuff ended.

I think this might be a better idea too. The only thing im afraid off is characters trying to kill other characters you know. They could go on endlessly

Idk maybe im not understanding your vision tho. Does the ability return time back to what it was, or does it simply provide a respawn point akin to a base in an objective - based game?


Log horizon way, it gets you back to a respawn point. A small area around you resets time sort of. I try to make it that way at least. It is hard to do things with times travelling you know so it always leaves small errors

@liferusher I considered giving something similar to the second one to Ryan, but I was going to call it the Divine Protection of Trap Detection.

So just to make sure I understand and for simplicity's sake using my example from earlier -

Tsuiho has been fighting/avoiding the Knight for a good week or so ICly. Tsuiho and Maria had a 1v1 fight somewhere trying to settle this little score they had. It was something set up a few days in advance - either because Maria knew about the Tsuiho's target and decided to intervene, or Tsuiho decided to get cocky and get the Knight off her back by killing her.

One of them kills the other.

What would happen then? This was building up for a week or so ICly, and both of them knew/assumed it was only going to end when one of them were dead. So the one of them kills the other. They just forget the whole thing happened? That entire week of ICly build up just gone?

Otherwise, they each knew who was supposed to die in that case because they knew who they were fighting and they've been pursuing the other for a week.

Or am I just over thinking this? xD

I guess that might be a little bit troubling if they want to kill each other so badly.

Just like anywhere else there is also death in this world. In most cases when you die there is nothing to it anymore, but some chosen ones might notice difference in that. It doesn't seem like they ever die after their heart stops beating. It is only a fact but it doesn't seem like there is a way to truly die except for aging old enough. Instead of dying they return back to the place where they have been at 10 am that day. When you are back to life again all the npcs that you have talked to between the starting point you are at now and the moment you die have no recollection that you have spoken with them. Things like carts and items that were moved in the meantime stay on the place they have been last put. People won't notice you suddenly appear between the crowd and say you have been standing there for quite some time. Your previous body disappears and the people around didn't notice you died either after your body has disappeared. They might not notice much difference but they feel a faint feeling of weakness. The gear that they wore when they died feels heavier. Spells feel harder to cast and they feel weaker in general. Only after having battled demon beasts or other creatures for some time the feeling will go away and they feel like their usual self again. One more thing, death hurts untill they are back alive again and they have to figure out themselves they can die over and over again.

Other players that killed you don't forget on how you died.

If a player died after killing countless of npcs, all the npcs that got killed by the player in the last 5 minutes will get back to life, they will go back to a point where they weren't involved with how they got killed yet and don't remember a thing.

If this happens with more than 2 players near each other they all have to die in order to get the npcs back to life.
@Heckno12@Rune_Alchemist IM GOING TO F-ING WRITE THIS DYING THING DOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL! so we dont have any confusions. Also got a new idea for it so please show your opinion on it, I think it is pretty rad and unfair >;)
