Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

This seems appropriate.

Given that I am currently the last one to post, I shall not stick anything up right away, but I shall prepare a post of Kasy disengaging and making her way towards our dear soon to be departed Blue Sun.

I'm going to get working on a post tomorrow, I think.

I don't know if you realize this or not, DJ, but these comments makes it feels like you're treating this scene like a competition. At least to me. This isn't the arena, hun. If you're going to treat it like that, I don't see the point in me posting much or at all. Especially since Haze is going basically going to be doing all the killing and Vellios is basically just there for show and nothing more. Out of all the scenes, I've only killed two guys because I'm being respectful by letting the other players shine and not step on toes. Vellios isn't a biotic or tech, he's a soldier who doesn't have much of a specialty save beat the shit out of things and maybe, MAYBE creative thinking.

Haze has killed how many? For an underdog, he's already killed more than Vellios despite my pc's training, experiences and slightly unstable nature in battle. I understand you're excited but this is also a team effort, like a tag team in the arena you need to build or work with what your team provides. Not take advantage of it and steal the glory. Not trying to be a downer here btw and I say this with the utmost respect and reason as well.

Don't ask me how, but I somehow missed this entire conversation.

What Fallen brings up is a very good point that I've touched upon in PMs about having characters do too much per post, and while it's great and all for any one character to be a super badass, it's kind of boring for anyone else involved in a scene if one or two characters end up killing everyone in a post to show off their skills. Likewise, with Tanya, I more or less had her kill one of the technicians, weaken another's shielding, and the drone dismember another one while specifying that there were several other bad guys around and that she was pinned down, which Aeron responded to by having Alex take the heat off.

I'm quoting this post to reiterate it for everyone; sharing is caring, and no one person is going to be coming out of a fight against numerous bad guys on top unscathed if they just rush in there. Heck, that warehouse situation went by a lot faster than I would have expected, and not sure if you guys remember what I said about named NPCs, but I did say that they are controlled by Hellis or myself, so defeating Three Eye and killing all his goons in the span of a few paragraphs is kind of power gaming a bit. It kind of feels like you guys aren't really treating these guys as a credible threat.

Mop up 5 dudes? That's quite the mop up. You could leave one or two for Vellios...

And Kasy will punch anyone who gets in her way... But she will probably speak to the person before killing her.

And I'm going to quote this because 5 guys is way too many for a "mop up". Once again, treating the bad guys like they're push overs isn't really fun for anyone, and if anyone's going to try to take on those odds, they will be facing some injuries, to say the least. Hell, go play paintball and try running into a room full of people and see how that goes. Even if it's a bunch of squeaky 12 year olds, it doesn't take much for one or two of them to turn around and turn you into a colourful bukkake.

Anyways, this is part of the reason why I kind of want to push you guys to start taking on individual posts instead of big collabs because it's moving things along really fast and we're starting to get into pissing contests with each other. Team work, everyone. Remember we're a bunch of ragtag assholes and not a special forces outfit taking out a bunch of goat herders.
Self Inserts.

The moment I see somebody submit a character sheet with their user name or the same name of every character they've ever roleplayed because it's the same person who is just a fictionalized version of the player, a part of me dies screaming inside.
Just a quick note on that last collab: the summary says all the baddies are Blue Suns, the only Blue Sun is the asari friend Drono and Dex made after a friendly game of catch. I think you meant to say Twin Star.

And the posts are all good reads! I'm going to get a Tonka and Tanya post up sometime today or tomorrow I hope, and we'll just keep things moving along nicely.

To be fair, one if the characters in question had a wife and kids. It was easily one of my favorite arcs and there was a kiss. I'm hoping to trap steer Dervish into a SolveigxKarth arc if I can't get Solveig to snatch one of Fox's characters. A SolveigxLeif arc would be interesting if Sevine turns down both of them.

Also, computer gets here tomorrow! Expect posts and collabs, yay!

Do'Karth is no woman's sloppy seconds. He's simply too much of a man to resist.

Also, concurred. I absolutely loved the Marassa and Sevari story. I'm just bummed I never actually got a chance to do the homecoming scene.
@Dervish

Torturing your fans. Because what else do we write for?

@Frizan

Maybe we can contact Tara Gilesbie, AKA "Enoby". XD

To be fair, it was a pretty sad scene. We'd literally been playing those characters for 2 years at that point and I'd been slowly building up to the fact that my character fell in love with his, and only admitted it when his character's choice was return to his family or risk perishing trying to do the right thing and help my character find her brother, who was my other character. In the end, his character left the game entirely to return to his family after suffering horribly over the course of the game (getting maimed and losing an eye and reuniting with a father only to lose him again immediately is hard for anyone), and my character had to live with the fact that the man she loved was likely never going to see her again and that she'd messed everything up years ago by not sticking with him and instead choosing to complete her thankless personal mission.

Tormenting characters is the best part about roleplaying. <3

We'll be sure to keep teasing at it and then end off with a disappointing "Yeah let's be friends" which will, of course, result in a massive audience backlash over the anticlimactic conclusion to that character arc.

I expect fanfiction.

In one of Shaft's and my previous games, we had a player who wrote hilarious fan fiction about all the characters. It was amazing.

We also totally ended a "will they/ won't they" with two of our characters with a resounding "nope" that ended up making one of our players cry. I've never been more proud as a writer.
@MiddleEarthRoze I aim to please. ;D
And now Roze and Sagex have entered into a "will they/ won't they" scenario that will be keeping audiences on their toes until the season 3 finale. Will Roze steal Sagex's coin purse or his heart? STAY TUNED!

We'll be back after these messages!
