We about ready? I can't wait for this!
Is it time yet?

Time for what, you ask?

Competitive or fun, that's always been a source for debate. However, arguing over the problem is utterly useless. There will always be people wanting to win, and there will always be people wanting to goof around. We can't pick and choose without isolating one group, so the only thing for it is to suck up and try to get as much personality and screen time as you can while you have it. Make an impression, do your best with what you've got.
<Snipped quote by Doc Doctor>

I'm going to play a bit of a Devil's Advocate here and say that it's not a terrible idea to do so. Submarineroid is a monster that switches to Defense mode after it attacks, so stopping the attack could be your way of keeping it in ATK mode to run it over with a monster right after. Yuta runs Shadow Spell, so knocking that ATK down to 100 to deal a massive hit next turn isn't a terrible idea, even if you'd rather save it for something bigger.

On another monster that doesn't pull the switcharoo, tho, it doesn't make much sense.

If there's at all a logical motive, sure. I'm just not expecting somebody to see a lone Submarineroid on my side of the field (and literally nothing else, as is usual for me), and say to themselves, "That bugger looks threatening enough to use a mirror force on," without a fair excuse for being so suspicious. If they use a naturally suspicious character, that's fine, but I hope to not see anybody who before blossomed with confidence to suddenly become wary of what most would view as a hopelessly pathetic move.
What's more, my character typically exaggerates his attacks, turning his moves into a kind of seemingly innocent comedy meant to disarm other duelists and trick them into thinking he's just a moron.

P.S, That Shadow Spell sounds like a great idea. Keep it handy just for me.
Name: Fuubi Yagara
Sex: Male
Age: 22
House: Utopia House

Appearance: A short fella, five feet tall and ninety pounds. He has a black buzzcut, five o'clock shadow, dark brown eyes, and huge yellow buck teeth. He wears a black school suit with his left arm sleeveless.

(I'm really shit at drawing. I tried though!)

Duel Disk: The classic

Personality: Fuubi is an asshat who uses unorthodox behaviors and tactics to try and disrupt his opponents. Psychological warfare, intimidation, ridiculous antics... He'll do whatever it takes to make an enemy lose their cool. Aside form that, he's a manic guy who loves energy drinks, hitting on girls, and having a good time.

History: Fuubi's parents were both wildly abusive, and beat him with a sack of ripe mandarins twice daily. Sometimes they forced him to miss classes, so that the teachers wouldn't see his full-body bruising. When he was 17, his grades were piss poor and he had reached the limit of his patience. He flipped out and punched his dad in the nuts, hit his mom with a folding chair, and then ran out into the streets, crying. He stole and hotwired a pizza delivery truck and drove all the way to duelist academy, seeking to change his life. He knew that the only way he could get over his childhood trauma was to do what he loved best; duel and annoy people.

Wish: To meet the famous Yugi, challenge him to a televised duel, and then make him rage.

I'll switch to Utopia House then. As for standing up to high tier decks, don't worry. I did singles with this deck all the time before Dueling Network was shut down, it can fuck people if they get careless. I mean, it's still like roughly 50/50 against competent players, but Berserker Soul is like the Kenshiro of decks. If you get a good mill, your opponent is already dead. They just don't know it. Once the secret of the deck is out though, it becomes pretty easy to counter. I'm hoping that nobody realizes this and breaks character in order to block the silly looking direct attack of my Submarineroid with a trap or effect or something. In my DN duels, almost nobody did, and they frequently paid for it with a quick and nasty end. And it's the retro old school duel disk, the first model.

@ImportantNobody@Dynamo Frokane

I want to join you two, but not as a fighter. I want to be a hapless bystander watching the fight as his ice cream cone slowly melts, like that dude from The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.
