Alrighty, @The Kid Lantern, I've finished my sheet.
Meta Detection, ie, the super power of stating the obvious. Guys, I totally sense that Superman can, stay with me on this, fly! No seriously, he can fly! I can sense that about him! What do mean, you can all see for yourselves that he's flying right there in front of us? No really, I sense it, guys!

Sorry, couldn't resist. xD

haha. Well I was thinking more like, walking down the street, seeing Clark Kent and being like "oh shit, that guy can fly, he's really strong, and he's got laser vision. He's got powers like Superman... Maybe he is Superman?"
Work in progress.

Secret ID: Lucas Gatehouse
Alias:
Age: 17
Home Location: Gotham
Powers:
-Meta Detection: Lucas sees an 'aura' around everyone, which can tell him a thing or two about their powers. At the moment, he can only see the more overt powers. For example, he could tell you Superman flies, shoots lasers, and has super strength, but he wouldn't be able to tell you about the minor hypnotism abilities the man of steel has.

-Meta Duplication: If he can achieve skin-to-skin contact with another meta human, he can duplicate their ability. He isn't very good with it, however. This duplication is a total duplication, and Lucas will be able to do everything the other person can do, except, his body tends to be rather inefficient with the power, meaning he'll be drained of energy much quicker than the original user if they were using their own power. Additionally, he is typically unskilled with the power, unless, again, he's hung onto it for a long time. Lastly, he can only hold one ability at a time.

-Enhanced Human Attributes: He is stronger and faster than the average human. He is beyond human capability, but not by too much. He can run at thirty miles an hour, and if he really sprints he can get up to fifty. He can lift up to around 750 lbs(a real guy has lifted more, much more) if he strains himself, and can deal out harder hits than an average person would be able to. Additionally, his reaction time has been increased to a phenomenal 20 miliseconds due to having significantly more synapses in his brain than the average person.

Weaknesses:
-Attempting to copy a power that is too powerful will give him a seizure, or, in more extreme cases, a brain aneurysm.
-He can't copy any magic-based powers.
-He can't see the power auras through TV or images. He's gotta see the real deal.
-Bullets. Sharp objects. Blunt force trauma. Anything that would kill a normal man would kill him.
-Electricity can hurt him really bad. He has more synapses in his brain than the rest of us, and has more electricity flowing through him at any given time. If that balance were upset, it'd hurt. Even little bits of static electricity can give him migraines.

Equipment:
-Two Eskrima sticks, which he has basically no skill with.
-A combat knife, mostly for utility reasons, but he does have the ability to use it in a fight.
-Grappling Hook
-Two smoke grenades, one flashbang
-some bolt cutters and a swiss army knife
-a flashlight

Appearance:

Lucas has a slightly better than average body type, of an average height for his age, although he's much more muscled than is the standard for people of his age, having the body of a dancer or acrobat. He's a caucasian individual, of welsh and irish decent, though he lacks the freckles that are commonplace among the irish. He has a large, friendly smile and very bright blue eyes. he's got short, very dark brown hair. In terms of clothing, comfort is his first priority, and he'll often wear hoodies and t-shirts. He likes shorts(they're comfy, and easy to wear!) but he does occasionally wear jeans.

In costume, he has a pair of black, rubber-soled, steel toe boots that make him appear perhaps an inch taller, as well as dark pants made of a tough material, with stab plates and padding inside. His costume features a composite underlayer that is somewhat similar to thermal underwear, keeping him warm and comfortable. Outside of this he wears his utility belt, within which is all the knick-knacks given to him by The Bat. Over this he has a long, flowing black coat that is comprised of kevlar, padding, and stab plates, allowing him to protect himself from injury to a certain degree. Finally, he wears a white mask that was very distantly inspired by the Comedy/Tragedy masks, though as opposed to a grin or frown he chose to draw on a thin lipped smile. The lightning bolt that is pictured is not actually on the costume. Lastly, he wears a wig when in costume as well, to further conceal his identity, as his mask does not cover his whole head.

Personality:
As a teenager with superpowers, Lucas thinks life is pretty great, man. While not strictly an optimist he can be quite optimistic, and typically has a smile on his face. He's also quite friendly, although not to the point where he's the kid who's friends with everyone. Despite this, he can get annoyed quite easily, and once he decides he does not like someone, that decision is very hard to shake. Generally he's hardhead, but he does have mutable opinions on a few things.
Lucas is a boy who likes to prove that he can do something- He has a want inside him to show that he doesn't need help. This is not to say he does not acknowledge the need for help when necessary- But even when acknowledging he needs help, he tries to do it himself anyway.
In terms of sense of humor, Lucas' favorite is dry wit and sarcasm, though he isn't the best at sarcasm himself. Lucas is sensitive to the plights and problems of others, but then often has trouble thinking about what needs to be done to actually help them- sometimes he just exacerbates the situation.

BRIEF Bio:
Lucas Gatehouse has lived in Gotham all his life, born to a mildly eccentric father whom was a small time movie star, and a mother who was an economist that had the demeanor of Gregory House.
They lived in a modestly sized apartment within Gotham, carefully picked to be just outside the realm of the truly terrible neighborhoods. Lucas doesn't have any particularly strong memories of the place, as it's always been a "place to put his stuff" as opposed to a location that has meaning to him. As a boy he didn't have many friends largely due to little opportunity to go out and meet them- His father worked with a very young crowd that didn't have any children that he could be introduced to, and his mother worked with people that would rather shit bricks then waste time on something that wasn't money.
But life went on, and he went to school, eventually becoming associated with "the weird kids" whom would later evolve into "the theater kids", though his social circle would eventually be much more encompassing in the future. It was in middle school that he first discovered his ability, he saw a girl in his class with the aura around her, and when he shook her hand as part of a 'get to know you' exercise, he had his first seizure due to his body not being ready to accept all but the weakest of powers at the point.
It was at this point his mother and father began fighting, due to gradually rising money problems due to his father's inability to get another role in a production, and Lucas' apparent health issue with the seizures they now had to deal with. To escape from home troubles Lucas immersed himself in the theater and became a part of many school theatrical productions, becoming quite a good actor.
The more he acted, the more and more he watched the television to get' inspiration' for his roles. But as he watched TV he became drawn to the exploits of superheroes on the news, the bright costumes reminding him of his lovely time in Theater class. The seed of an idea formed in his head- He could be a superhero.
It was shortly after he'd resolved on the idea of becoming a superhero that he got the call from Robin, and went to meet with him and the others.

Notes: He swears profusely, mostly because he has reached a point where such language no longer has any sort of 'weight' to it, but he's trying to get a handle on it. Also, please forgive the terrible history, I'm very tired and I wanted to get it over with.

Sample Post:

"I would kill for a few molotov cocktails, a machine gun with limitless ammunition, and... Aw, hell, why not an Apache Attack Helicopter too?" Lucas was attempting to think of ways this situation could be better. Like, if Robin had thought to invite Batman. That probably would've helping.
A Multiplex clones' fist slammed into Lucas' mask, sending him stumbling.
"You son-of-a-bitch. Do you know how long this mask took to make?" Lucas pulled out his knife, making big, awkward slashes at the clone. It wasn't connecting due to Lucas' lack of skill, but it was keeping the clone at bad, while it clearly tried to search for some kind of opportunity to ruin Lucas's day and probably the health of his bones as well.
"Like, a couple hours, dude. You almost broke it. Not nice." As Lucas finished his sentence, the Multiplex clone spotted an opening and went for a punch. Lucas stepped out of the way, slashing with his knife and making a huge gap in the Multiplex costume.
"Aw, hell yeah." Lucas smiled under his mask. This fight would be getting a whole lot easier. The Multiplex clone through another punch and Lucas stepped back, kicking out hard with his foot, sending the clone sprawling.
"C'mere, you bastard." Lucas jumped on top of the clone, wrenching off his glove and shoving it into the hole in the Multiplex costume, while the clone struggled, legs flailing and arms attempting to push Lucas off, blows that suffered from lack of movement range attempting to pound into Lucas' chest.
"We win." Lucas said, grinning wider. He envisioned Multiplex's aura of power flowing into his own, combining with it, melding with him...
Nothing. Nothing was happening. A fist smashed into the side of his head, causing a spiderweb of cracks on the lower left portion of the somewhat delicate mask, sending Lucas rolling a meter.
"What happened...?" Lucas' daxed brain attempted to understand why the hell he couldn't copy Multiplex's power. He willed himself to see the arua of the clones, fighting all around him, and the one he had tackled got up.
"They all have the aura... Oh, eff-me. I gotta figure out which one of them is the original." The thought hit him like a bus, as the clone got closer, walking slowly. It looked as though Lucas maybe have broken one of its ribs, staggering, one arm pressed into it's side, the other outstretched towards Lucas.
He got back on his feet, prepared to fight, shouting "I'm gonna knock you down on your ass again, and when I do-" when suddenly-
"BANG! BANG! BANG!" The noise tore through the air. Not long after that, the silence returned to the still night air, and the fight was over. The villains were gone. The teen heroes either looked down, or stared at the boy wonder. A hero was now nothing more than a corpse. Lucas tried to swallow the lump in his throat, looking at the broken, beaten body, still dressed in the cheery colors of Robin. It didn't feel like the thing lying where was Robin... It felt like it was a stranger in a Robin suit. Like it couldn't be happening. That the busted lips and the shattered arms bent at unnatural angles and the red-rimmed bullet holes on the forehead just couldn't be happening. But it was.
I would hope it's not too late to cram in a work in progress submission.

Secret ID: Mark Reeves
Alias: Dynamo
Age: 17
Home Location: Gotham City
Powers:
Kinetic Energy Absorption, Control, and Redirection:
Kinetic energy is one of the most fundamental aspects of our universe- To control, absorb, and redirect it without limit is what it means to become a god. Suns could be extinguished with a thought, any sort of attack could be absorbed, and the entire universe could go into imbalance due to the violation of the conservation of energy- It is not meant to be stored like that. It could mean the end of the universe as we know it.

At least, that's what Mark has been told. He, sadly, does not have the ability to become a God-being of universe-shattering proportions and he is not "am become death". He is simply a kid from Gotham with a pretty neat power. Barring the extremely unlikely event that an extremely powerful telepath(by extremely powerful, I mean, Martian Manhunter wouldn't even be a nth of the aforementioned telepaths power) with a death wish came along and removed the blocks preventing Mark from accessing his power.(Not to say such a thing would happen over the course of this RP, but I do enjoy mentioned the sheer awesome destructive power of totally kickass kinetic energy. Plus, the original version of this character used in another RP was god level. So, yeah. I also write this to denote how ludicrously out of control such a power can get- I am aware, and will keep it in check. i do intend to make him grow in power through the RP, but, again, not to utter ridiculousness. I also understand tht the limits I'm imposing on this power for myself may be difficult to understand, and if necessary, I can certainly explain them in further detail.)

Mark only has a very rudimentary grasp on his power, and all but a fraction of his potential is locked behind enough mental blocks to make Fort Knox look like a bouncy house, and to make even Martian Manhunter wet himself. But, in terms of actual applications, Marks power has a few useful applications that make him quite the vector to deal with.

Energy Absorption- The bread and butter of his power, Mark constantly leeches kinetic energy to give himself fuel to use his ability. This expands to things such as electricity and fire. But, a caveat to this is that he can't absorb too little or too much. The mechanism by which he absorbs the energy is a very delicate thing- Too little, such as the force generated from just sort of walking around, and his body's systems just aren't efficient enough to process it. Too much, and his system would be overloaded, and he'd take whatever force is connection with him like a normal human. Additionally, his body can only store so much energy at any given time. An example of too much energy would be a bullet hitting him, or a punch from a superstrong adversary. He could soften such blows to non-lethal levels, but it'd still hurt like a bitch. Also, the degree to which he can soften such blows sometimes isn't sufficient. Bullets of sufficient caliber, a la anti-material sniper rifle would probably blow his head open just like anybody else.

Blasts- He can redirect this energy into blasts, fired from his hands. These blasts can only use a portion of his 'power battery' at a given time, so he couldn't let it all go in an all or nothing shot. The maximum force he's exhibited is enough to send a normal person flying about three meters.

Super Strength- Through application of his energy up through his arms, legs, muscles, and skeletal structure, he can lift weights and deliver blows impossible for a normal human. This function constantly drains his energy, however, and is one of the larger drains of his power.

Superspeed- Using his energy, he can propel himself forward at speeds unattainable for normals. Of course, this speed is leagues below any user of the speedforce's ability, such as Kid Flash, but it is notable, he can probably clock in at about eight MPH. This is a very inefficient use of power, however, and it drains him reasonably quickly.

Durability- Since everything has an equal and opposite reaction, he can enhance his own ability by applying kinetic force outward, dampening blows dealt to him. This power is also a large waste of energy, and blows of sufficient power(i.e. bullets) would damage him.

Hetero Energetic Manipulation- Hetero, meaning other, he can sometimes adjust the energy of other things, within a range of ten feet in all directions. For example, without firing a blast, he could give a thrown basketball a little extra 'oomph', or guide is through the air with very tiny bursts of energy. Theoretically he could also use this power to enhance the blows of his allies by lending tier hits extra kinetic force. He can also use this to protect his allies by taking away tiny bits of force from his enemies attacks. He could also theoretically use this to allow him to stick to walls by using a small bit of energy to make the wall 'pull' on him.

Flight- A horrifically inefficient use of power, he can attain flight or levitation. Even on full battery, however, this would last at most thirty seconds, not topping speeds of twenty miles per hour.

Healing- His healing is the least developed of his abilities, and requires a ludicrous amount of energy. At full battery strength, at most, he could probably fix a broken arm due to the terribly inefficient usage of energy from this power application.

Weaknesses:
Mark is extremely averse to telepaths, because after a rather unfortunate encounter in his youth with one. Additionally, he has absolutely no mental defenses to keep them from picking around in his brain, aside from 99.99999999999999% of telepaths being totally incapable of accessing the higher functions of his power.
Equipment:
-Utility Belt, complete with grapple cable, bolas, smoke pellets, two pairs of handcuffs, and twinkies(high in calories= high in energy).
-Two Pistols with rubber bullets. The Bat does not appreciate his use of such weapons(but he can't say he hasn't done it before..), but allows them nonetheless. He gets a very tiny amount of energy each time he fires from the recoil of the weapons.
-Two eskrima sticks which he is totally unskilled with.
-A small palmtop computer. It's not very powerful and he can't hack or anything like that, but he can google stuff and it gets signal from the bat computer. Sometimes Mark watches cat videos on it.

BRIEF Bio: [this shouldn't be a problem as none of us are really trained or have more than a few weeks experience]
Notes: I understand if you think this is a completely, out of the ballpark, frighteningly OP ability, and I am completely open to changing the character if need be.
Sample Post: [give us an idea of what you bring to the table, no less than 1 or 2 paragraphs with dialog!]

Quote: "In a world without gold, we might have been heroes!" -Blackbeard, AC4
Name: James Hannes
Age: 45, but physically is 33.
Gender: Male

Height: 6' 2"

Weight: 204.3 lbs

Ethnicity:
Caucasian, more specifically, Irish with some German and a bit of Welsh sprinkled in.

Sexuality:
Hetero Sexual, married to his wife, Hisoka Hannes.

Religion:
No Gods, no Masters.

Occupation:
Owner of the Camelot Institution, professional bodyguard and assassin.

Ability:
Power Swapping- James has the ability to swap powers with other Metahumans. With naught but a touch, he can swap whatever power he currently has with you. For example, he might be holding onto flight and whoever he's going to touch has fire powers. Once he's touched the individual, he gains their powers, and they gain his power, while losing their original power. The ability to power swap will never be transferred, meaning, once he touches someone, that person cannot then go and swap their powers with another person.
If attempting to swap with a person with no power, he will give that person whatever power he is currently holding. If he has no power and swaps with someone whom has a power, he will take the power, and the metahuman will be rendered powerless.

Hydrokinesis- The most recent ability he's gotten his hands on, James currently has hydrokinesis, allowing him control over water, through such things as water weapons, shields, transportation, etc. Through use of this ability he can amplify his strength and speed through manipulation of the water molecules within the human physiology.

Locked Away Metahumans- Within a hidden chamber inside the Camelot Institution, James has two metahuman captives that he uses to effectively 'store' powers. He has two captives currently, one with a potent healing factor(Not Claire Bennet level, mind you), and one with telekinesis. He will occasionally swap his secondary power out for one of these if he feels the situation calls for it.

Personality:
Most would call James a sardonic asshole. Those who knew him better would call him a cunning, sardonic asshole.

@DocTachyon
"It's good. I got a few things I'd like to ask you to do, though.
-Tell me where Freetown is. California? NY?
-Either cut down his Shock Arrows to 4, or increase their charge time. Also, add a number of times he can recharge with the quiver before needing to return to base to get more power.
-The Hull arrows are cool, and you don't have to change this, just wanna lay some facts down. The damage a bow does is more based on draw length, how long the bow is, and how much draw weight their is. You could have an arrow made from the densest material in the universe, and if you fired it from a normal bow it would just kinda fall out of the bow. You gotta have a more powerful bow to allow you to fire more dense arrows, and in turn, deal more damage. Of course, i have no idea what your perception of how dense alien hull is, so whatever.
-Just, please cut out 'Professor Paleo"... Please..."

Freetown is around mid Oregon, maybe south Oregon. I can have him meet up with the California people, though. I was trying to have him at the edge of where they might go.
Ok, I'll double charge time and add a max of 8 recharges before he has to recharge his quiver.
The hull material is actually lighter and stronger, like Titanium, so it can keep a sharper edge and penetrate armor better.
Ok, I changed it to generic raiders.

Alright, accepted.
<Snipped quote by Nytefall>
The powers are a little much... Turning people to glass? Summoning monsters? Giving people mental disorders? 'The Power of The Old Ones' sounds like in some scenarios it could be the finger of god. You're gonna need to limit it more in some way and tone it down a bit.

@DocTachyon
Not really, its as random as can be.
I said evil entities i never said they were actual physical monsters, they may not even hurt them could just be an annoying noise or a bunny that will follow around the person swearing at them.

The Whole character is based around randomness, i am more then happy to have his powers do nothing of use against an opponent.

I don't like random characters for one of the many reasons I don't like Superman. One day they're near useless and the next day they're capable of destroying planets. I don't like this power because if gives you a pretty damn good chance for an insta-kill.

Sure thing Tachyon, consider the power stealing rekt. Should I change more stuff or is it A-OK now?

Edit: Is his healing too much too, or did you just meant "In addition"? I really want the healing but I can tone it down some.

Looks good for now. Consider it accepted.
THE GREAT AND POWERFU- I mean, reasonably humble GM has returned.
So, I'm back from Vacation and the OOC is in the works. The hopeful estimate for the OOC right now is either sometime later today or before 4:00 PM EST tomorrow. At the absolute latest it will be up by Friday.

(was finished on a phone forgive the roughness please but it should be mostly if not all there)

Consider it accepted. I'm a tad wary about what his maximum power of this 'charging' could be, bnut just don't go making explosions that are excessively large and we won't have a problem.

I made a non-superpowered character. I hope it's fine anyway, otherwise I'm willing to adjust.

I like it. But I'm gonna need you to make a few changes to the CS. As much as I like the back story, I can't just let you say that you've already claimed all of New York City. NY is a big place, with A LOT of people. If you changed it so that you said he, say, took over Queens or something, that'd be one thing.

The powers are a little much... Turning people to glass? Summoning monsters? Giving people mental disorders? 'The Power of The Old Ones' sounds like in some scenarios it could be the finger of god. You're gonna need to limit it more in some way and tone it down a bit.

Hey, this still going on? This sounds really cool, just being like a superhero doin' shit after the apocalypse. I've been watching lots of post-apocalyptic animes and been playing fallout a lot, so I decided "fuck it I'll join this". My dude idea is basically, a metalworker and gun enthusiast who, for some damn reason, developed the ability to steal other people's body parts with no ill effects. In simpler terms, if you cut off his arm, he could just cut off your arm and attach it to the stump, then his body will automatically absorb it. Of course, this also gives him superb regenerative qualities.

I'm thinking, basically, it's sort of like his body produces a lot more stem cells with a special mutation, probably sort of like cancer, that gives him that ability. But it's superheroics! I ain't gotta explain shit, do I? Anyway, he also built himself a swanky little piece of armor after the apocalypse and modified his very favorite gun.

I'm not sure if he'll be a good guy, a bad guy, or just a guy though. Probably the third one.

Here's my current CS: If you have too many dudes, feel free to disregard this. If you're gonna do this with a lot of players, may I suggest having a defined post order, by the way?

Edit: yeah I wrote this first so disregard me asking about shit at the beggining. But still answer those, please?

Good point. But yeah, basically the ability is 'just' an enhanced form of the first one.

Some elaborations:
Let's say he and an average bob are fighting. Bob cuts off Kent's right arm, Kent kills him and cuts off Bob's right arm. Ken grabs Bob's arm and sews it to his stump, after an hour or two, it is officially 'attached' and he can begin really using it. Beforehand, he can't really do anything.

Let's say Kent and Superbob are fighting. Superbob does the same (cuts off arm), Kent does the same (Kills and cuts off arm). Superbob had super-strength, thus, Kent has somewhat increased strength (Yet definitely not to the point of Superbob's) in that arm, and only that arm. If he replaces that arm with another again, he loses the superstrength, yet gains anything special that new arm might have.

He can also heal over time pretty much any part of his body. Depending on the organ, it can take weeks to a full year, however. Larger parts of his body also need full replacements, E.G. he can just regrow his kidneys, but he can't regrow his arm, for that he needs a 'donor' so he has sufficient material to work with.

He also can't regrow the more complex and important parts of his body, specifically his lungs, brain, heart, and stomach. For those, he's also going to need a replacement. However, he doesn't need to worry too much about if it's the right 'type' of heart or anything or if it's genetically close, it just needs to be a human heart. He'll be able to fix anything else himself.

However, there's lots of other downsides I'm thinking of to this. Obviously, if he attaches something with cancer, he's going to get that cancer, for one. For two, he basically has to prey on humans to do all of that. It's not like he's going to recieve too many actual donations, is it? It's also likely that his immune system is pretty much fucked when it comes to poisons or super-viruses. I mean, if it 'accepts' utterly foreign body parts it'll probably 'accept' anthrax or ebola, right? He'd probably live through that, but obviously it'll be a huge goddamn pain.

I'm not sure about too much else. Does that explain his abilities sufficiently? I think it does.

Edit: I just thought of something, lel. I'm thinking attached parts also eventually superficially turn into his 'actual' stuff, while being basically the same inside. E.G. if he attaches a black guy's arm (Oddly, that thought is hilarious to me. Is that bad?), it'll turn white in a few days.

Stealing people's powers and healing is too much. I mean, how many superbobs has he killed? How many superbobs will he kill? I see this getting too powerful too quickly. I'd say take out the power stealing part altogether, but if you can think of something better, you can do that.

Well, since the GM will (hopefully) be back with us and this starts rolling again, might as well answer his original question about my character.
<Snipped quote by DocTachyon>
Whatever material he could change his body into probably won't stop too many bullets, unless he took material from other parts of his body to make another part more dense. On the topic of something as big as a tank shell: unless Max compressed all of his body mass into one small block (killing him), he's not stopping any tank shells anytime soon.
(And yes, I made his appearance essentially an amalgamation of Joshua Graham and a ghoul)

Alright, that's good. Your character is accepted/

I finished my character:

It's good.
Please...
<Snipped quote by Zaresto>

Okay, finished my CS.

It's good. The only thing I'm wondering about is the 'hardening'. How theoretically tough is that? Would it go down to a few bullets or is it strong enough to make a tank shell feel like a nerf bullet?
Also, his appearance made me think of this:

<Snipped quote by DocTachyon>

No I understand, that is why I gave him such a weakness, he was very powerful. Anyway, in terms of durability, if you or I were to be stabbed, let's say, in the arm by a 5 inch blade, it would easily sink all the way through, but for Carter, only 2 inches of the blade to sink in, before his skin would stop it. The force applied would make a difference, but his skin would act life buffer, pushing back at it. So were as a bullet to the heart would kill us, a bullet would be slowed down by his skin enough to stop it from puncturing his heart. But cutting him would be difficult. Hope that makes sense. As for the oxygen, someone would have to hugging him, or be in his "bubble" basically to be affected, since the fire only burns on the surface of his skin, it only takes air in the general area. As for his Heat Manipulation, he can super heat the air in an area within his direct line of sight, but not to far away from him, he can create fire, throw it, use it like a flame thrower, as he sees fit basically. I guess another weakness would be the fact that he can manipulate Heat in extremely cold environments.

I suppose that's alright, as long as he couldn't take a full clip from a machine gun or anything. Surviving a few bullets is alright, but if someone starts unloading either a lot of bullets or something like a 50 cal., I'd expect that to be too much for him. Now, I like it, but I'm gonna have to ask you to tone down the power of the fire capabilities a bit. I'm not gonna put a limit on exactly how much, but make sure they're just a bit weaker than the fire hero we already have. Other than that, accepted.

Here's my CS. Tell me if something's wrong with it.

Heh, I thought it was funny that he alias was Tim for no reason.

Anyway, I'm not 100% certain what it is that his power does, but it doesn't seem ludicrously powerful. I'm going to say that this sheet is accepted. Keep in mind if you pull a Lethal Harmless Powers without giving me a heads up I won't be a happy GM.

How long after the Apocalypse is this? I was thinking you said a year, but I wanted to be sure.

One year, as was helpfully answered by @Lord Santa.

A question that I don't believe has been asked before:

Where exactly do most powers come from? Alien origins, psionics, etc., and is it something that just manifests at some point or are you born with it?

It really tends to vary where people get their powers from. Some people's physiology was heavily affected by the alien virus and were granted superpowers. Some people had their genes altered by radiation or experimentation, and others got powers as a result of evolution/birth. When it manifests varies person to person, but if you are born with it, it either presents itself VERY early(probably on or around your first birthday) or later during puberty.

Looked interesting so I thought I would apply! Feel free to critique my app, also I'm going out of town for a couple of days so don't be alarmed if I don't respond. However, if we start on Tuesday then I shall be ready by Sunday.

I feel obligated to tell you we have a demon-esque character already. That doesn't mean I can't accept yours, but I thought you should know. So, how tough is his armor? How strong is he? How powerful are his magical attacks?
Then, in his history, why was he is a museum of all places? If there's an ongoing alien invasion, that might be the last place I'd go unless I had a unnatural love for history. Why isn't he in his house, with his fiance, waiting for the whole invasion to blow over, when suddenly, he realizes his wife is sick?

Is it too late to express interest? :D

Never too late to express interest.

SO, anyway, I'm terribly sorry BUT starting today, I will be going on vacation. I will be gone from today, Friday the 17th of July, until Tuesday the 21st of July. That means that during this time CS's won't be accepted and the OOC won't go up, but things should begin moving along again as soon as I return. I encourage you all to continue conversing between yourselves as to not lose interest in this RP. I'd like to thank everyone for applying and showing interest. i hope to see you all when I get back.

It's good. I'm a little wary about how it drains oxygen, though. Could he suffocate someone else with that? How much more durable than you or I is he? How strong are his fire powers? I apologize if it seems like I'm questioning you more than the others, but you do have a quite powerful character and I like to know limits.

Is there still any openings?

Of course! Plenty of openings for anybody who wants to join.
I'm thinking of making a tech/powers hybrid Chaotic Neutral character. Think low level powers (durability and can metabolize radiation) and some decent gadgets (modern tech level stuff, but made with alien scrap for superior performance, smaller size, etc. Think arrows made out of hull armor, shock arrows, explosive bullets, encrypted comms, etc.)

That's all fine, but I'd keep the shock arrows and explosive bullets in small supply. Considering regular bullets would be hard to find now a days your character wouldn't exactly be running around with barrel-fulls of such exotic ammunition.
