Uh, no. His other option was to give us something to do! Why is that concept so fucking hard to comprehend? Why is it so goddamned impossible for non-tourney fighters to be out doing something else while the tournament is going on? But noooo, we all apparently HAVE to be at the stupid tournament even if we're not participating because otherwise we don't get to take part in the plot. UGH!

You realize, of course, that this is a TOURNAMENT SETTING, right? As in, the rules FORBID US FROM INTERACTING WITH THE FIGHTERS? So what do you think we're gonna do to "react and interact" post a shit load of redundant commentary like Naruto characters do? Seriously, if this were literally any other setting I would agree with you. But the cold, hard fact is, this is a tournament, where other characters are literally stuck in frickin' limbo until the fights are over, so you might as well suck it up and finish the fights quickly so the rest of us don't die of boredom.

Which is why the prospect of sitting on my ass doing jack all while waiting for pairs of players to post back and forth sounds like the worst thing ever. Seriously, collab posts should just be made mandatory so we get through this thing and us "spectators" don't die of boredom while waiting for something to happen. Just my thoughts on the matter.
