That's more or less the point I was making. Any post I made would have probably been some half-assed thing where he doesn't really do anything.

So, in regards to evolution, will our Pokemon's evolutions be more a naturally occurring thing like in the anime, or are we following the games' rules? Was just wondering if I'd need to invest in a Razor Fang later, XD

"Sounds great." replied Trey. By that point Glider had left its perch on his shoulder and was now on the ground, in the mood for stretching his legs a bit, "Glider and I were gonna head there ourselves later, anyway. Right buddy?" the Gligar looked up at his trainer and gave a happy nod of agreement. The girl who approached earlier, Lily, mentioned training. As she released her own Pokemon, a Ralts she called Ruby, Trey gave a small shrug and could only offer one answer to her question.

"Best way to train is to have yourself a good sparring partner. You could always have a go against one of us. Heck, Glider and me make a point to never turn down a challenge."

At around this point, a trainer silently passed them by, who also seemed to have a Ralts since he had one sitting atop his head. He didn't say anything though, so Trey decided not to be pushy and respectfully let the trainer pass without interruption. But there was another one shortly after that. In fact the only reason Trey could even tell he was a Trainer at all was because he spotted an Eevee peeking out at the group from the trainer's backpack. But the sight of that particular Eevee was pretty cool, seeing as how it was silver, a rare color for that species. Meant it was probably rare, and whoever that Trainer was they were super lucky to have found one.

"Whoa..." Trey said in a lowered voice when the trainer had gone, "...did you guys see that Eevee? I've heard of them being silver before, but that was the first time I've ever actually seen a silver one. So cool." he felt small kick at his shin, and he looked down at to see Glider giving him a jealous look, "Well, not as awesome as you, buddy. Never." the Gilgar then happily jumped back up on Trey's shoulder.

I don't think I really specified where Mach ended up after his stunt, but given the small crater he made and the dust he kicked up it's not likely he landed nearby anyone.

Though I should point out that, given Mach's current position and situation, my post would essentially just boil down to something like this: Couldn't move. Got hit by a bunch of chains and went down for the count.

Also disembarking from that same ship, was another trainer. Unlike the other one, though, this one let his partner be perched on his shoulder. It was a Gligar, one that the trainer nicknamed Glider. As his feet touched the soil of the Kosei region for the first time, Trey looked around himself with a wide grin and a look of wonder in his eyes, "Here we are, Glider. It's a whole new world." he said to the Glgar perched on his shoulder, who responded in the way only a Pokemon could, by saying its own name, though it did so happily, with an equally exited smile on its face.

This place was nothing like home. The Johto Region as a whole was always known for being one of the more old-fashioned regions. It's only real major city was Goldenrod City, while most of the other towns were more rural than anything else, dotted with shrines and practically divided into two halves by Mt. Mortar. But this place, this place was something else. The buildings had a rustic architecture to them that reminded him of home, but then there were those big turbines. There definitely wasn't anything like that back at home. Of course, this just proved that even right from this outset, this journey was gonna be one to remember, and Trey could hardly wait to get started on it.

But first, he had to find the laboratory of Professor Tsuga. He was told that Tsuga could help him get started with his journey across Kosei, and besides, getting to meet any of the world-famous Pokemon Professors was an opportunity that no trainer worth their salt would ever pass up. Then he spotted someone, a man who looked vaguely familiar handing off a package so someone else who was disembarking. Why did the man look so familiar? Then the recognition hit him like a ton of bricks. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small photo depicting the very man who had long since left, "Wait! Ah man... looks like I just missed him." lamented Trey, having started to run after the Professor but gave up when it was clear he would catch up to him.

"Oh well, I'm sure he'll be at his lab." Trey muttered to himself, only just now remembering that he was now standing next to someone, "Oh! Sorry if I startled you. I was supposed to meet that Professor when I got here but it looks like I just missed him. Name's Trey, and this is Glider, my partner."

I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but wouldn't pretty much all the trainers be arriving on that ship?

I probably shouldn't snark so much about the spin-offs, especially since one of them (Birth by Sleep) happens to be my favorite game in the series. Still, KH has become one of those franchises where the creator makes spin-off after spin-off in order to explain/retcon the plot holes of earlier installments.

BBS - Explains the full backstories of Xehanort, the Keyblade War, and even retcons the whole "Chosen Wielder" thing between Sora and Riku (Sora was chosen because he made a connection between his and Ven's heart while Riku was chosen solely because of Terra performing the ceremony on him).

358/2 Days - Explains a more detailed version of Roxas's backstory, and then proceeds to nosedive into bad fanfiction territory (yep, I still hate this game).

Coded - Follows up on the "Thank Namine" plotline from CoM and KH2.

I'm pretty sure 3D tried to explain a few plot holes, but I can't think of them at the moment. Well, that and 3D's story as a whole gets confusing as hell because they decided to throw time travel into the mix. Oh and... seriously, 13 versions of Xehanort? That's the best they could come up with for the 13 Pieces of Darkness plot line? *sigh* Remember when the Disney villains had this Council of Evil thing going on way back when? I sure miss that plot line.

Uh oh, guess we'll have to make a pointless spin-off game to explain it. :p

Get its... head? But that was still Jupiter somewhere in there, right? If he didn't do something, they were all gonna end up dead. All the while, he was using his prosthesis to stomp out Shadows that came close to him and the newcomer who stuck by him. She was flinging spells left and right, one of which was a Barrier of some sort. Maybe they could use that? The Princess of Heart still needed guarding, especially if she was gonna purify that Darkside. Maybe this new girl could help with that? Fortunately, she had just asked what she could do to help, so Mach was all too ready to make a suggestion.

"See that girl over there?" he quickly gestured at the Princess of Heart, "She can turn that big Heartless back into our friend, but only if she can touch it. Can you get closer to her and use your Barriers to help guard her?" he asked, then knelt to the ground, beginning to fiddle with the settings in his legs, "I'm gonna stun that Heartless, when I do, that'll be her opening to fix things, got it?" he was now focusing on amping up the settings to his enhancers. He did intend to stress test the suit at some point, but he never thought he'd have to do it in live combat. Still, if this worked, it would give them just the opening they needed.

This is it, Mach. No chickening out now. He thought to himself. He started feeling... warm all of a sudden. Despite the immensely stupid and risky stunt he was preparing to pull, he was feeling comforted by something. Then... a voice? No, he shook his head, convinced it was his imagination. During this, his whole suit looked like it was starting to glow under the armored bits, especially his legs. This was a sign that it was heating up, a by-product of overclocking the enhancements, which was what he had done while knelt down. Hopefully, the suit could give him enough raw strength to knock that Darkside flat on its ass long enough for the Princess of Heart to do her thing.

Then, like a human rocket, he took off. He was sprinting forward faster than any person could possibly move on their own. He even appeared to leave a blurry trail behind him. Then, he launched himself in a leap that really sent him skyward. Again, he was moving with such speed, and now jumping with such strength that he even left a small crater where he jumped from. In the air, he somersaulted as he started a downward arc, positioning himself into a kick. As he did so, he started looking like a meteor entering the atmosphere, as his armored suit became so heated that it was leaving a hot trail in its wake as his feet made impact. If the kick connected, Mach then used his current strength to push himself back off from the Darkside's form, even flipping backwards before landing back on the ground with a crashing thud, again a small crater formed where he landed, and small cloud of dust got kicked up around him.

He was silent, honestly stunned that his crazy stunt actually seemed to work. He wasn't sure if the suit could handle those levels of stress, but it seemed to hold out okay. At least until right at that moment. Suddenly warnings began blaring up in Mach's HUD. His suit was, to put it simply, overheated, especially around the legs. As a result, it locked up so that it take a moment to cool down. Probably not the best position to be in when the fight was technically still going, "Uh oh. Not good!" he said, trying everything he could to speed up the cool down, but unfortunately there wasn't much he could do, since all power in his systems were already being automatically diverted to the cooling units. Unless his miracle kick had ended the fight, he'd be a sitting duck for a few moments that would no doubt feel like an eternity in the heat of combat.
