Um... they're not adversaries. They're his support. Lisa reactivated him and gives him maintenance/upgrades when needed. Trent's their liaison to the army, relaying orders from General Lane and generally acting as Mission Control.

Edit: Also, would you object if I brought in Samuel Lane as the General that Trent is taking orders from?

@knighthawk Colossus is also a big softie with a heart of gold. Atom's a robot, so I doubt that logic will apply to him. At least for now anyway.

Are you sure you want to trust Seth with cleaning the toilets? I mean... he's the one who's known to prank everyone at the drop of a hat so there's no telling if the bathrooms won't end up getting booby trapped.

Mac addressed him first, asking Seth where he'd been. The Nobody gave his trademark shrug, "Eh, nowhere, really. Skipped rocks on a beach, got bored and decided to check out one of the big city views from the top of some musty old Cathedral in Paris, got bored of that and came back here. Nothing to tell, really." if any of the Frenchmen present were Parisians then they may just take offense at the Nobody essentially scoffing one of their most holy sites in the city as "old" and "musty".

Looked like everyone was laying into Drake for what happened. He probably deserved it, but Seth kept out of it. He had no interest in deciding someone else's punishment. Tocsax seemed to keep looking at him as he ranted at Drake. Why? Seth had no idea, nor did he care to know. If some of that frustration was supposed to be aimed his way, then Tocsax wasn't doing a very good job at it. Or maybe there was some other reason Seth just didn't notice? Oh well, it must not have been that important anyway.

"Seth," spoke Tocsax, "sorry for punishing you first. Now, can you protect Mai?"

Seth shrugged, as if he had no idea what the other Nobody was talking about. Then he snapped his gloved fingers as if suddenly remembering something, "Oh right, yeah of course..." his voice trailed off and then, Seth's grin changed a bit, and he narrowed his eyes knowingly, "...Oh, man, I just remembered I can't." he snapped his fingers again, pretending to be disappointed. He stood and opened up a Corridor next to him, "Those toilets aren't gonna scrub themselves, are they? I better get on that. You guys can finish the quest without me, right? Great, catch ya later!" and without giving anyone a chance to object or stop him, the Nobody was gone.

If Tocsax wanted Seth to scrub toilets, then fine. Seth would scrub toilets. And that was all he was going to do from now on. Unless of course Tocsax wised up and decided to end the silly punishment. Otherwise, the others were on their own for now. For what it was worth, Seth did actually keep to his word. The Corridor took him back to the ship, where he did legitimately start scrubbing bathroom toilets. Of course, he did this at his own pace, a very slow pace that ensured he could keep himself busy with this for as long as it took to make his point.

So... any particular reason why nobody's made the obvious suggestion to solve the Drake dilemma?

1. Drake's a mercenary first and foremost. Ergo! He cares more about his professionalism than anything else. At least, he should. Wouldn't be a very good merc otherwise.

2. Assuming #1 is true, the solution is surprisingly simple. Don't threaten his health... threaten his wallet. Either he agrees to the terms, or his contract with us is terminated and his payment forfeit.

3. If he's really that attached to the Shadow Nexus, offer a compromise. Don't just jump to the "we need to purge that shit permanently" conclusion. Figure out a way to more effectively suppress it, even if that means exploiting the magic mantra (It's magic we don't have to explain it). Failing that, take it away from him temporarily. Keep the Nexus locked in a vault that only a Keyblade can open or something. At least then, we can always get it back at a later time in the event that we find ourselves in a bad enough situation to warrant risking it.

*shrug* But hey, that's just what I would do if I were Tocsax. If you want to know what Seth specifically would do... well he'd probably do the above, but without all the niceness and professionalism expected from a character like Tocsax. In fact, Tocsax's current solution is probably what Seth would've jumped straight to... only without giving Drake (or the rest of the party for that matter) the luxury of having a say in the matter.

Edit: In case you couldn't tell, it's a very good thing Seth isn't the one in charge of the company. He would have gone straight to the Rick Grimes policy of "This isn't a democracy!".
