Yeah, mainly darkness as a weapon and for boosts. He'll also have an ability called Divine Healing, the only real gift granted to him by God, which allows him to access and use a small amount of divine/holy power to heal or even revive other's. It will be extremely weak as a skill though, because he hasn't used divine power in a long time.

Yeah, that would work great. If he's being offered a chance at repentance, how does that mesh with getting boosts from evil?

Yep, that works; you don't need the quotes though, since everything is assumed to be speech. It's easier to read if the words and actions are on different lines, but that's not a deal-breaker or anything.

*Grips the lever on the wall, gasping for air*
I... refuse... to die here!
*Pulls the lever until it clicks in the downward position, releasing the air lock*

It'll add a real sense of risk for the character.

Now I just need s pic for him (harder to find one than you think), some powers (I'll use the Superpower Wiki for that), and then a name (FantasyNameGenerator will be useful in that regard).

Then I'll be all set, after reading through the rules of course.

Sounds fantastic. Given that you haven't read the rules yet, are you fine with the short, first-person posting style? It's atypical for this site, but it works extremely well for us.

Alright I'll allow his spirit (him) to be permenantly destroyed while he's out of his own verse. When it comes to bodily destruction he'll enter a plane of Limbo, which looks like a place he's comfortable in, where he can repair/rebuild his body.

That's usually how we do it. If you like the idea of having some form of truly immortal spirit, we don't really ever address the concept, so it's not a problem unless he's coming back to life from that kind of a state. In that case, we'd have to figure out how it works within the physics engine. But if it's the "once he dies, he's an immortal spirit that's permanently gone from the physical world" (like what a lot of people consider the spirit to be in our world), I don't foresee a way that it could conflict with anything established.

Maybe I could make him immune to just Annihilation, seeing as how God has the final say over the existence of a being He created, but allow him to be killed.

Sorry, let me clarify that; I think I worded it strangely. When I say "annihilation," I mean more in the sense of being hit with so much sheer force that there's no material left that can recover; I didn't mean to imply that someone is just going to erase them.

There's a system for intangible beings that we could apply if you want to go that route. For example, if the physical aspect of him is destroyed, he could go into an intangible ghostlike form until he can get enough energy to restore the physical aspect. So that way, it's not technically "100% unkillable," but it's a lot harder. Of course, you don't have to do that if you don't want to—there's a lot of room to maneuver.

That's still something I'm working on as angels (even the lowest) are incredibly powerful, so there's a lot to think of in terms of power. I'd say Shapeshifting definitely (to blend in mainly) but the rest?

I have no idea.

And then there's the fact that angels (both in my headcannon and the Bible) can't be killed by anything but God...I guess I could do an Absolute Immortality type thing where he comes back after a certain amount of time or something.

A lot of beings outside of their own individual universes are immortal in MR. Usually the way we do it is by defining immortality as really, really, really hard to kill but not absolutely impossible and usually requiring some amount of annihilation. It typically comes with perks such as accelerated healing and the ability to survive most fatal situations (e.g. being torn in half). If you want to do something that goes beyond that, we can definitely discuss how we can fit something like that into the primary physics system.

Another angel. One who is truly repentant and remorseful for his actions (unlike Lucifer and the other fallen angels, who are deadset on their path of rebellion, even though it leads to eternal damnation). My angel OC would be given a second chance by God, who would allow him to leave his verse and help others in different realities as part of a test to earn redemption.

Alright. Now for the lore. In this, greed and pride weren't the only reasons why Lucifer (of my headcannon) rebelled. You see the angels/angelic beings (like Cherubim) were originally massive celestial entities that could destroy entire galaxies with their pressence alone. (They were like this before creation mind you.) And God, gathered them together and told them about His plan for creation. He told them that in order for Him to create the universe, the angels had to lower themselves (in other words become as we know them from various texts, myths, etc.) so the new universe wouldn't be annihilated and order could be maintained.

They agreed and God created the universe, then man. And over the course of several years after the creation, while Adam and Eve were still in Eden, Lucifer became angry at his maker. He reasoned that beings like himself shouldn't have their power limited for lesser creatures like us.

And that's how the rebellion happened and the Fall (of man), etcetera, etcetera.

And that's the "lore."
