Favorite character? That's a toughie.

To quote from one of my favorite articles:

I’m a firm believer in the idea that super-heroes teach you things, and it’s usually a pretty simple lesson. Superman teaches you to be nice and to be a good person, because that’s the way you make things better for everyone. Batman teaches you that if you’re determined enough, and if you try your hardest, one man can change the world. Those are great guidelines, not just for storytelling, but for life.

But Spider-Man’s lesson is a little less sugar-coated, and a little more human.

Spider-Man teaches you that you’re going to screw up. It’s going to happen, and it’s going to be bad. You’re going to make bad decisions and it’s going to feel like they’re going to crush you. It’s going to hurt.

But Spider-Man also teaches you that the only way to get through it is that you never, ever quit. It’s not easy, but even if it seems impossible, you can beat anything that stands in your way. You can become the person you want to be.

As for the rest, Superman leads the pack for DC, favorite villain is probably Two-Face, and my Marvel baddie of choice would be Ultron.

@Eddie Brock Do you remember Red X? His run as Iron Man was the fucking bomb. He had that Iron Man banner picture and would use scans in his posts way before I can remember anybody else doing it. There was something so cinematic to it. It's probably a big reason that I do it now - because thirteen year old me thought it was the coolest fucking shit ever.

Sounds familiar, but I can't quite picture it. In any event, I'm addicted to it. Sometimes I procrastinate writing by looking for a good picture to use, although now I just use Imgur in one-offs rather than saving everything to Photobucket. I remember one time when I picked up Catwoman, MB linked me his PB because he's got sub-folders for, like, all the Bat-characters. Wish I still had that link. I'd plunder the crap out of it.

I actually didn't even know MB was from there until after my time, I think. I've never met anyone from the Hype or here in person. When I was in high school still, some of the old guard would talk about meeting up at San Diego Comic-Con. Now that I'm old enough to afford the trip every year, those lazy bums don't attend anymore. *grumble*

Also, I'm all aboard Team Pictures in Posts, as y'all have seen. I've got two 100+ Photobucket albums for Spider-Man and Flash. Heh.
