Pilot Psychological Profile: Ansgar is an old, tried and true hand in the art of warfare, and has had the dubious pleasure of having served with the DEST Commandos for twenty solid years, and served with the Draconis Military for six years prior to that. This tends to, understandably, give him a very tired outlook on life. Not to say it is pessimistic, but he tends to realism. The old man has given up considering retiring anytime soon, fully prepared to die on the field of battle for a cause he doesn't really believe in, for credits that aren't really worth the effort. He often times reminisces openly about his days as a DEST Commando, sharing war stories and providing hard learned lessons to those willing to hear them, and possibly spare them the pain of learning the hard way as he had. But, in his own words, "Some lessons, kiddies, are only learned at the Academy of Hard Knocks.", in other words, learned the hard way.

Ansgar has no ego to speak of, as is to say, he doesn't walk around strutting his stuff and trying to impress anyone with tales of his past deeds. He's seen and done things most kids he works with couldn't imagine, and shouldn't readily imagine either, and prefers to spend his off time quietly enjoying a cigar and a drink, staring out into the nothingness of space and letting his mind drift blankly. He has no line that is to not be crossed, as far as anyone has ever tried, although he tends to grow oddly quiet when the discussion shifts to relationships.

Unlike Clanners, and more honorable soldiers, Ansgar has literally zero qualms about going to any means necessary to win the war. From using civilians as targets of convenience to bait out enemy forces, bombing and assassinating key targets, or even resorting to chemical, biological, or radiological warfare, the former Commando hasn't ever lost sleep over what he's done. In a fight, he is the perfect picture of a calm, collected operator, knowing full well when to withdraw, flank, or otherwise fight as dirty as need be to win. In other words, the perfect thing for most Clanners to hate.

Pilot Biography: Born on the Combine homeworld of Luthien, to a heritage of military service, it was of little surprise that Ansgar would be raised as a perfect heir to the family tradition of military service. His parents would take him out and train him in physical and mental exercises as he grew up, alongside his academic training, and it would be of no surprise when he 'voluntarily' joined the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldierly as a Mech Warrior, as his family tradition would dictate. Of course, the family was beaming with pride at this, regardless of how Ansgar would have actually felt.

For the first seven years of his service he would rotate through the various corps of the DCMS, unwittingly following in the path of Ansgar's father, who was retired DEST, and would learn to operate and use most Draconis Combine equipment and vehicles, as well as those of their supposed allies as well, before being approached by the Internal Security Force with his new assignment. DEST, the number now scrubbed from the annals of history, needed a new body and Ansgar fit the bill rather nicely. So, accepting his new tasking, Ansgar was assigned to the role that would define his approach to warfare in life.

For twenty years, Ansgar would engage in actions that, should they have been public knowledge, would have been damning at best. From stealing corporate secrets and raiding Clan Tech from their owners, to assassinations and, for lack of nicer words, terrorist acts against vital targets that proved problematic to conventional solutions, the DEST team and Ansgar would eventually form a bond tighter than most, something noticed by the ISF. The tightly bonded team would eventually be sent into an impossible situation, intended to remove a now problematic part of the DEST. On Ansgar's twenty year anniversary of his entry into the DEST Commandos he would leave, presumed dead by the ISF.

Ansgar took his personal Mk. II Infiltrator, and his equipment, with him to rotate through various mercenary companies and organizations, often times working for the Draconis Combine that left him for dead. He held no qualms with the majority, just the ISF, and believed he could do more good now from outside than from within. Ansgar openly shared his experience with many he worked with, often times training groups of Battle Armor teams within various groups, and would eventually find himself in the employ of Mycroft's Marauders, something of an odd name. Ansgar would serve them as faithfully as he had any other, and anyone willing to learn from an old man in the world of warfare, well, all the better, right?

Stukov felt how heavy the bag felt, glancing at Smiles in a half disbelieving manner. Really, flying into the heart of the zealous, and she was palming this thing off on him? He rolled his eyes, nodding and secreting it into a pocket so no one saw it. Once they landed, he would lag behind a few moments and deal with the stupid thing. Sure enough, after touching down, everyone was quick to disembark, and Stukov took a moment, making sure the pilot, or anyone else, was looking before slipping the likely infernal thing around his neck. He hid it under his shirt, armor, and coat, which left the thing feeling rather uncomfortably close to his chest and beating heart. It felt unusually warm, like it was freshly plucked from the burning building, and that unsettled him.

Stukov followed after the, albeit now arguing, women while Sis ran off with her sisters. Great, don't cause trouble, she said. Runs off to play bump and grind with her dear sisters, she does. The former armsman pinched the brow of his nose while the two bickered on about, well, Emperor knows what right now. So, with a quiet sigh, he stepped forward to get to hear 'SHUT UP STUKOV' in stereo, again. "Could you two not argue in front of the Sisters? Mostly for our own sanity rather than their well being..." Stukov fully expected to get told to shut up, it was how things seemed to be going lately. Getting told off or told to shut up. It was getting rather irritating, really, but it wasn't like he had much to do in return for it, not yet. Just they wait, he would have his laugh soon enough.
