@PlatinumSkink That would work perfectly fine, sure as sure.

Another idea I had was stragglers of Grado's army attempting to reinforce the throne room/castle in general, and Voss could be part of that group. Perhaps the attempted reinforcements run into trouble, leaving Voss to forge ahead and attempt to reach the group and warn them of the need to avoid potential trouble, and continue to assist from there? Sort of a chapter 1 reinforcements type of deal.
Alright people, where are the posts? Don't make me send in the Kriegsmen.

Hmm, I can try my hand at Halo again, why not. I'll get onto a CS then, shall I?

EDIT: Aaaaand done.

To a degree, I suppose? Last Halo game I finished to completion was Reach.
"Archaeo-Tech Technology is redundant, ma'am. I will reserve bludgeoning actions for uncommon mutants." Whether Ansgar was being sarcastic or not was lost through the rebreather he wore, muffling the tone of voice he had when responding to the psyker's request for him to not use the weapon as a hand to hand substitute. However, the spikes that weren't stopped by the Rhino or the psyker's shield nearly hit the Grenadier, a sidestep narrowly avoiding the unpleasant death by impalement. Raising the Galvanic rifle, he fired shots into the mutant as he walked backwards, orders overruling his desire to get close enough to lob the necessary volume of explosives onto the impaled thing to kill it. Beyond that, it was relatively smooth moving to the Rhino and, once everyone was aboard, shot off at a rather fitting speed. Spotting the Apothecary at the controls, the Krieger didn't question it, since while he was not familiar with any of the Astartes outside one Chapter, he assumed there was a good reason for the medical expert to be driving.

Lacking the advanced scanning equipment, connections to the Rhino's sensors, or any other means to detect anything outside the hull of the transport, all Ansgar could do was sit and wait. The remark that the Celestian made on halting the Chaos invasion or being dead by the Emperor's side was a welcome one, at least by the Kriegsman. "In death, Atonement." The remark was the tail end of the Litany of Sacrifice, and the idea of charging head long into death was neither foreign or unwelcome as far as Ansgar was concerned. Then again, some of the others of the group may take exception to that, but it was not his place to attempt to fix that. When told that they would fight from inside the Rhino, it took him some moments to realize that the vehicle had a hatch for passengers to be able to fire out of. It also dawned on him that, due to his height, he couldn't actually reach the top hatch for firing out of the vehicle, as it clearly was designed for power armor in mind.

"Ma'am, it may be wise to disembark if we encounter hostile forces in numbers requiring more firepower than is already provided. The top firing hatch seems intended for power armored individuals, who have the extra height to be able to fire out effectively." Addressing the Celestian, Ansgar stood inspecting the Galvanic rifle he was in temporary custody of, ignoring the intense gaze that was being given to him by the Tech-Priestess Malig. Ansgar was under no disillusion that his short height was going to make fighting from inside the Rhino effectively impossible for him, reducing the amount of effective firepower while mounted inside the vehicle by one. Until then, he had to do the one thing most Guardsmen would agree to hating, wait. Wait and see what happened next.
Jerod Staudinger

Jerod noted the continued attempts to get under his skin, more obvious now since she was continuing to use the full title he technically was entitled to despite remarks to the contrary. Reigning in his irritation over the insistence of using the full name, he remarked rather dryly before the newcomer fellow started prattling on. "Why, such a sense of humor! And here I was wondering why the Crown Prince kept you around. That razor sharp wit would be remiss in employ elsewhere."

Jerod listened to Sordan introduce himself and his goals. Get back to Tellius, regroup, and follow orders from there. Though, as he continued, he intended to stay with the group and provide further pragmatic minds, which was a welcome addition. Though, by the very nature of a pragmatic minded individual, he didn't trust this man any farther than he could feasibly throw him. Just because he talked sense didn't mean he had any reason to trust the Tellius swordsman, but he kept his quiet on that. Wouldn't be the first time he was expected to work alongside untrustworthy individuals, hell, as far as some people were concerned, a sellsword couldn't afford to trust anyone more than their coin was worth. Speaking of trust, the Crown Prince brought back out both the damn fool of a hero, who introduced herself as Lyn, and some stray that Lyn had stumbled across while he was unconscious.

"So, will he have the common decency to wait until we are asleep before slashing our throats, or will be he rude enough to try and slip a dagger in our backs while we are awake?" Keerin can leer all she wants, but Jerod clearly was going to call out the lunacy of bringing along someone who Lyn had found, unconscious, and had no knowledge of outside of being a traveler of some sort. Either way, the Crown Prince seemed to not mind at all, cementing Sordan's point, and declared their next destination before heading off. This was going to be one hell of a job, the sellsword thought darkly as he followed after them.

Jerod had been keeping a very close eye on the two newest of the group, Mark more than Sordan but a close eye was kept none the less. Which was made difficult when it was recommended they split up to buy the supplies needed, and he was left with Sordan. Well, at least one of them was still being observed, Jerod considered, and he was about to figure out where they would go for what they were responsible for when they were approached by a cavalier of sorts. Remarking after the beauties in their company, the damn fool Lyn in specific, and how they were blessed to have such company. Great, so now they had the attention of some womanizing, jumped up Cavalier lusting after the women in their group, and the two of them were stuck dealing with it.

Jerod had half a mind to just shrug and walk off, but the remark on the Crown Prince demanded some sort of response. "Not nearly as fortunate as you might think, they aren't worth the trouble in pursuing, yet the boss keeps them on the payroll. And your asking after the odd hair colored fellow, yeah? No, probably not, and he's given us an ear full over it already on the way here when I asked. Apparently resembles some noble prick's kid, poor sod. He gets enough grief over it as is, so I'd recommend letting it be, it has really been wearing his temper thin as of late."

Despite having not liked the man's tone in remarking on the women folk of the group, or his potentially recognizing the Crown Prince, he kept an off hand, almost distracted tone as he responded to the green wearing Cavalier. Hopefully he'd get the point and toss off, and they could go about gathering supplies for the road ahead. In fact, he actively dismissed the man by turning to Sordan and speaking to him directly, though not making enough detail apparent the intrusive Cavalier could involve himself further. That being said, he didn't expose his back to the man, turned enough to dismiss him, but not so much as he lost sight of him in his peripheral vision. "Right, we have our orders, same as the others. Shall we get going?"

@PaulHaynek@Sho Minazuki
I'm going to have to back out of this, got too much on my plate now to keep wasting a slot when other people would be more active. Apologies for wasting your time.
@PlatinumSkink Figured I'd provide clarification on the comments and such, and make some offers for tweaks to help sort things out more to your liking, eh?

Yeah, they aren't a large family, but its sort of a pride thing that they are Mages instead of Shamans. Sort of a case of doing something no one else is, and being overly proud of it, whether its deserved or not. I'd say, at most sibling wise, two other siblings following along the family preferred Mage path. Of course, feel free to tweak or play with that, just an estimate to provide initially.

I can certainly tone it down a few levels, put him at 5 or lower if you'd like, I'd have no problems with that. As for tomes, I could either drop the Flux tome so he has to rely on the Luna for everything, or knock it down to a Nosferatu if you'd prefer. I'm certainly willing to be flexible to make him fit a bit better for your preferences. Appreciate the initial acceptance though, sure as sure!
