There's no single RP that is greatest. Just as there isn't a single worst.

There are lots of great and terrible ones, though.

We've seen something far worse than people posting stuff that is completely out of left field... When they post stuff that completely contradicts things others have posted IC earlier because they either didn't bother to read the IC or just skimmed it.

A dead OoC can be dangerous, but if the RP uses an IRC, the OoC will often be less noisy. Best thing is if it uses such and both are active.

When people don't join our obviously far superior RP?

Foolish hubris and all that nonsense aside, we'd say that much of the above is relevant. Non-critical reviews by GMs is what we consider a major warning sign. Accepting Mary Sue characters is a bigger sign.

We're generally careful with reviews so we can be less strict IC. That let's us find the bad apples before they make too much of a mess. Overly impatient players tends to ring our warning bells. Eager players don't to the same degree, however.

On the romance stuff... do you mean the sickeningly sweet stuff when to people play their character up to each other and go all in on how the two characters are in love, or the stuff where two characters are moderately romantic, but not overtly so?
Also, how about situations where one character uses physical attraction as a means to an end? (i.e. manipulation, rather than mutual true love)

As far as smut goes, that you won't see in any public place on the Guild. Its against the rules. people do it in PMs and offsite, but they don't do it where everyone can read it. (1x1 section is riddled with recruitment for RPs of variable levels of smut)

some characters are used for various things in code, not in the convenient code that users utilize like [] stuff, but deeper down. such characters unintentionally mess things up.

’ looks almost identical to ', but one affects code while the other doesn't.

Name changes of some sort might be implemented in the future, but it's not likely to be soon, as it's a feature more of convenience than necessity. Right now, Mahz is away, so no features are being added.

But eventually we can imagine that a feature like this will come. Users do have unique ID numbers, but they aren't readily visible.
